Remarks

The infrastructure of the campus is amazing.People will definitely love the weather around here. You will find students from different parts of the world studying, which gives a way for cultural diversity. Clubs related to every topic like Yoga, Psychology, Environment, Sketching etc are encouraged here as well, which is again a good thing. The only drawback is the location of the campus. Since it is located on Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the accessibility is difficult. the roads are not well maintained and it is a jungle in the vicinity with small fragments of villages around in between.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This course differs from other state university syllabus as the subjects taught here are the several branches of psychology and not other extra papers like Philosophy, literature etc. This is an honors degree which focuses only on psychology. For someone looking to explore psychology and various branches, this course might benefit them a lot. The exam structure is normally in 70-30 pattern, where 70 marks are for external and 30 marks is internal assessment.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements for psychology after bachelors are not really available, since a masters degree is required for an individual to begin practicing. But as far as the overall placements are concerned, companies like Byjus, Amazon, Google, Yahoo, CocaCola etc do come to offer placements and hire students from Amity University Mumbai.

College Events

5

As every college celebrates annual festival, Amity University hosts a 2 day long annual festival called AMINOVA. First day of the event is the inauguration where everyone is supposed to wear an attire which represents where they are from. Second day is DJ night. Apart from this annual festival, traditional day, navratri (9 colours on 9 days), onam etc are celebrated on campus.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is pretty feasible, as fees are supposed to be paid semester wise. There are financial waivers available in the form of scholarships, sports quota scholarships and many more options. Fees can be paid online through net banking as well as physically by giving a Demand Draft (DD)in the name of the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The university offers 25 percent scholarship for students scoring 75 percent above in their 12th grade, 50 percent scholarship if they score 85 percent and above in 12th grade and a full scholarship if you top the first year with a good participation in extra-curricular activities. People enrolled in national level in any sports can also avail some scholarship. There currently are not any loan facilities in collaboration with any bank which are provided by the university.

Campus Life

4.5

There is an annual sports meet called SANGATHAN, which is an inter-college competition. various branches of Amity university compete with each other in different category of sports at Amity University Noida. People win prizes and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for their respective sport category. Here, sports include both outdoor and indoor games.

Hostel Facilities

3

Since this university has just started 4-5 years ago, not all facilities in hostel are up to date. It is a 6 floor building for girls, and 9 floor building for boys. Lift is available in both the buildings. The security system is pretty strict, but tedious for students. Students cannot get out without the sign of faculty on the request pass. That way parents do not have to worry at all about the security and safety of their child.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful and approachable. Alumni are invited sometimes as guest lecturers or judges for any event, which enables currently studying students to get in contact with them. Amity University Mumbai has generated good network of students who have passed out and scattered worldwide excelling in their respective fields.

Admission

I applied for the course of Bsc Clinical Psychology. First you need to fill an online application form including your and your parent's details. After submitting the form, you'll be allotted a date for skype interview or walk-in interview. I was allotted walk-in interview. After passing the interview, you get notified via message on your phone and on the portal you filled the application form on. For checking on portal you need to login using your form number, which is allotted to you while filling the form itself.

Faculty

4

The department of psychology surely has some experienced people. The director of Psychology department has worked as a Head of Department of psychology in Mumbai university. Teachers have worked mostly in research area, all PhD. graduates and worked in research field for 10 plus years. So that way, the college has very intelligent, approachable and knowledgeable faculty, whom we can go to for any kind of queries anytime.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.
