Entrance Preview

Just took a private entrance exam. This college is the best in the city for the course I opted for.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

We had a variety of subjects connected to English literature and literature translated into English. British Literature, American Literature, Bhakti Tradition, Modern Indian Literature in English, Indian literature in translation, Research Methodology, Detective Fiction, Dissertation, Contemporary Fiction, English Language Teaching.

Internships Opportunities

I did not have a very fulfilling internship experience. Wasn't offered any money for the work I did. I had to go in search of a place to work and it was not a happy experience.

Placement Experience

3

I think the placement cell does a very good job in arranging interviews with prestigious companies and organisations. But since I did not opt to join I don't have much information regarding placements.

College Events

1.5

Cultural festivals were sometimes very interesting. But mostly they were too academic oriented and not too much fun. A lot of participants from other colleges attend the cultural events of my college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

We paid 10,000 for the first semester. 5000 for the second semester, 5000 for the third semester and 5000 for the fourth semester. Apart from the fees we had to pay around 1500 for our exam fees four times for every semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. As far as I know the only students who received scholarships were the students of the backward classes who were given scholarship money of around 2000 every month. Also only daughters in a family were eligible for scholarships too.

Campus Life

3.5

Events were rarely bad. The college is a women's only college so there were no gender issues as such. The college conducts a lot of workshops. I have attended the workshop on script writing and acting.

Alumni/Alumna

Regular meetings are arranged for the alumni. The current students are required to help during these meetings and they get to interact with the alumni.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of the curriculum, I don't have any negative comments because it is designed by highly educated proffessors. Furthermore, it is an international level curriculum. I appreciated the teaching methods, Proffessors use powerpoint presentation as neccessary.

Remarks:

The college has good in the language before some few years back. And still now it’s somhow good in relevance in the studies but sometimes much more pressure and extra works that was not much necessary in the departmental curriculum. One bad things is the college didn’t listen to the students voice and opinions and students were considered as money. Much more pressure and once president said is finalised and no options. There is many stories within the students that cannot reveals but most of all they wait for the graduation.
