Best Education in Insurance

Since so many changes have been brought regarding curriculum and faculty this year, the process post admission has gotten late. Planning could have been better and hence could have helped in better execution of things. Overall the experience till now is amazing.

Initially, the curriculum focussed more on management subjects but since the college is Insurance specific, this year the curriculum has been entirely revised to include more subjects on Insurance starting from first Trimester itself. It gives a better understanding to students how the insurance sector works when they sit for summer internship placements. Since it is a PGDM course, the curriculum now designed is apt for anybody wishing to pursue career in Insurance sector. Otherwise, the course offcourse also focuses on management subjects as well.

Yes the college provides internship opportunities. I am a first year student and I am yet to sit for I internship placement. As far as the stipend Is concerned,it varies between 20k to 40k per month.

The college has a track record of 100% placements since its inception. All students are placed on zero day itself. Mostly MNCs and private sector companies come to campus for recruitment offering profile in IT, broker and underwriters mostly.

All festivals are celebrated here in college because the culture diversity is too high. Students come from all regions North, South, East, West. Events like Freshers, Insurance Summits, Cultural fests, Onam celebration, Ganesh Chaturthi etc. All are celebrated with much enthusiasm and vigour.

The fees is around 11 lakhs including hostel fees for 2 years. The ROI of the college is also good considering decent placements. All such information is also available on the website of National Insurance Academy, Pune.

The college has Bank of Maharashtra in its campus which facilitate such loans easily. There are scholarships as well for merit students of around 1 lakh each. The number of students who can get such scholarships depends on the management.

The college campus has all facilities of this sort, a badminton Court, basketball ball court, TT, snooker, swimming pool, gymnasium, a computer lab, a volley ball court, insurance library and a separate reading room.

Clean and spacious. Bedsheets, pillow cover, towel and a blanket is provided by the hostel. Students only have to carry their personal luggage to the hostel and no extra things like buckets etc. All is provided by the hostel.

There are constant connects with alumni and seniors keep arranging such meets for the benefit of both the batches often. The alumni are themselves very proactive in interacting with the current batches.

Exams are divided in to Trimesters. There are 6 Trimesters in 2 years. 50% weight age is giving to written exam and 50%weightage is giving to class performance like Presentation, assignments, quizzes and surprise tests.

The college rolls out its admission forms in December after CAT exam is conducted and is open till March next year. There are 2 centres for conducting the GD-PI process i.e. Delhi and Pune. Once preference is sent regarding the venue, the date of GD-PI is communicated well in advance to make flight or train bookings. This year, 2019, the college received over 800 applications for 80-90 seats, hence the college conducted a WAT also to make selection process more rigorous and at the same time easy. Once, all the rounds are completed, a list of students is rolled out on the website after 20-25 days. Also, personal emails are sent regarding selection and other fee payments.

Best part of the college is that it is initially a training institute for professionals working in the insurance industry. As such, most of the faculty is constantly in connect with industry and is always updated about new trends in the market. The faculty is a mix of academicians and professionals from the industry who have interest in education. The classes are always interesting and interactive.
