Remarks
The internal system of management needs to be cultivated to be better in terms everything considered. The college has gained its reputation over the years (estd. 1997) and still standing up to its name but, there are some serious issues (not in terms of criminal backgrounds) that need to be focused on, so as to maintain the ambience and environment the college has.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is same for all the GTU affiliated college/universities, and it keeps on changing from time to time. Even exam patterns have a rotating cycle of change throughout the 8 semesters. But the basic structure of the course is divided into basics of engineering, core subjects, applied analytics, and subjects which you can choose to study. Examination is carried out in three parts. First is the college mid semester tests (the fraction of scores you gain are added to the final score of that semester). Then comes the End Semester Exam (ESE) (Theoretical Section). These are conducted at individual colleges but are taken by GTU Board itself. The examination is of 100 marks but actual paper is made of 70 marks. The rest 30 are provided by the college (on the basis of mid semester tests, presentations, projects, open ended programs)ster.
Placement Experience
Placements are good enough for students who are of Class - 1 ranks. For students of average ranks suffer to find a position in a company. Stipendiary/Internship is solely dependent on students skill to get one. The college helps him/her get the internship but doesn't invite companies to spoon feed its students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible (Average I must say). The per semester fees range around from ?37000-40000 (INR). This is applicable to students admitted through ACPC. For students of management quota and NRI quota fees tend to be 20-30% higher than the basic fees.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan facility can be made feasible through banks (government or private). As of now college doesn't provide any loan plans by itself. Though college can write a recommendation letter to ease the process of getting a loan through bank. Scholarship is provided by the Gujarat government under Prime Minister Shiksha Yojna - this scholarship scheme enables a free of cost education course for a student. The students end up paying just the registration charges of ?3000-5000 (INR) for every academic year, instead of ?80000-85000 (INR) approx per annum.
Campus Life
Practical experiments are carried out in well facilitated labs, with brand new and upgraded equipment which have a maintenance and change cycle very often according to requirement. Sports items are easily available, the managerial coach is always friendly to students, all extra curricular activities are well supported throughout the course of college.
Hostel Facilities
The average rate of hostel shall be anywhere between 3000-5000 per month, based on what facilities they provide. All basic facilities like 24 hours tap water, electricity are provided. Infrastructure of all hostels nearby college are good enough for students to feel home like.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni association has been setup at college. It is very helpful for pass-out students to get any certification later on in their lives. No fees are collected for joining the Alumni Association, though GTU collects its Alumini fees collectively with the examination fees.
Faculty
All the faculties are helpful in every way and are up for finding or trying to find solution to complex problems in young minds. They also help during all major and minor project tasks, presentation skill development, and in every other possible way.
