Remarks

All in all college is good but it can be the best if the placements are improved . College is having really good reputation and it will hold it.

Entrance Preview

I have given PET and scored 73 and i have opted this college because it has nice campus and facilities which are required by an engineering student.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is followed in a strict way and completed on time and faculty is really nice and helpful regarding the subject. I have consulted my faculties on different context and they helped me very well.

Internships Opportunities

College has signed various MOU's one of them is with B.S.N.L. So that students can get practical knowledge. This practical knowledge makes a student more bright. College is also having tie up with IIT's for online courses and training.

Placement Experience

Placement and job opportunities are satisfactory but not good. As students expect much from college in terms of placement which are most important part of college life. College is not having a Stable TPO and which results in poor placements.

College Events

College celebrates Techfest in a very good way. It is having a lot of events and college also supports and take care of each events . It is having a techfest as well as cultural fest. . Celebration of annual day is fantastic and food offered is also really nice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

College is really very expensive as the fees of college is very much. It is really not affordable to a common person. But because of scholarship it can be made affordable. Bus is optional so it reduces the fees of students who don't need bus.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is having scholarship fund for meritorious students in both academics and sports. The scholarship fund is one of the largest amongst those offered by institutes in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is in keeping in with the institute's mission of encouraging rising talents in the country.

Campus Life

Campus life is really awsome. Students are free to think and innovate. IIST makes sure that innovation is never neglected. It is also having Sports weak. Having different competitions.

Hostel Facilities

No mess food is not good . Hostel facilities are good . Hostel is having WiFi , In house laundry, House keeping, Clinic, Shuttle services to city everyday, Mess, Common study room,Recreational room.

Alumni/Alumna

Many of the alumni interacted with us so that we always feel motivated . They are really inspiring .There are many iistians which are leading different organisations . When they come they share their experience with us.

Exam Structure

Exams are taken in a positive way and it is done in a chilled out way. Labs are having all the equipments so it provide a better understanding so that at the time of exams it can be performed in a beter way.

Faculty are having vast knowledge of the subject which is a must for every faculty.

Average college with no placements and exposure

Likes

I like infrastructure of the campus... infrastructure are very beautiful.
Library. I like library facilities college provide and we can take book from there.
Canteen not..much but I likes this average

Dislikes

Placement their is no placement or limit placement only 2-3LPA
Bus Facility their Very poor bus facilities
Labs their labs computer are not working properly

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.

Likes

Faculties are full supportive (except some faculty)
Goverment Hostels are Good becaues of campus area
Oldest College of all over india and first E&TC branch opened in JEC

Dislikes

Zero college life beacuse everyone not get govt. Hostel
Campus distributed because of two way highway
No internship and entrepreneurship opportunity are there

Course Curriculum Overview:

There is totally outdated syllabus that was not relevant for current or future technologies. No fully functional labs, outdated machines and some machines are not working. There is no regular lab class and if have then you will write the practical file intesd of learning about machines.

I like the faculty of Gyan ganga college of Technology. They are very good.
I like the campus of college and it is very clean comparing to other institutes.
I like the placement given by our college and also rate of placement.

Dislikes

There is nothing about my college which I disliked
i like everything about my college and it is very good

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester studentd are eligible for placement in companies like google microsoft cisco etc. the highest package is 51 lpa and average package is 3.5 lpa. percentage of students getting placed 70%. i plan to get a high package after comnpleting my degree

Likes

Faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful in academics , exam, and projects. Teaching focuses on fundamentals and practical understanding
The campus has good classrooms , labs , library, and sports facilities .The environments is friendly and suitable for learning.
The placement cell is active and provides training for aptitudes, and interviews. The curriculum is relevant and helps builds a strong technical base.

Dislikes

Industry exposure and live projects opportunities can be improved .
More companies can be invited for placements
i don't thing there's anything i don't like now

In my opinion I chose this course because my some family members are also do this course and his placement is good in this sector how much he thinks he gets . Therefore I do this course and his placement in our city this is also quite enough to chose this course and mainly I didn't score good marks in jee to get other branches this is also one of region.

Likes

The clubs in the college are good. There are specific club for coding , for robotics, for music and dance.
The placement in the college is also good . If you give some efforts then you will get a good placement.
The curriculum and syllabus of the college is up-to-date and industry oriented.

Dislikes

The college did not have its own campus, so currently it regulates from inside MANIT.
The girls to boys ratio is very poor. In my batch there are only 18 girls among 650 students.
The fees of the college is also very high

Placement Experience:

The college have good placements as far as I got to know. The highest package was 8500000 lpa last year and average package was 1900000 lpa. My plan after the degree is to get god job in ECE cire company.

Best IIIT in terms of campus life as it has over 150 acres of lush green campus with almost every amenities.
College has been improving its recent cultural status and activities by organizing events like Infotsav- Annual Tech fest. The girls to boys ratio is around 1:5 which is decent.
all faculties are phD holders and highly qualified in their respective domain.

Dislikes

Course curriculum is little bit on a harder side especially grading schemes. Some profs may deliberately give low grades.
not that great alumini network despite being the oldest iiit
semester lasts for only 4 months which may prevent many club events and exploration

Placement Experience:

For 4 yr courses, on campus placement drive begins in 7th sem and occur in 2phases in 7th and 8th sem. For 5 yr courses, the same in 9th and 10th sem. In 2025, All tech giants like, google(16 selected), oracle(5 selected), microsoft(3 selected), de-shaw(3 selected), groww(10 selected), american express(10 selected), Nutanix (6 selected), amazon (8 selected). Highest domestic was by de-shaw 67 lpa to 3 students. average package of cse was 27lpa , it+mtech 29lpa and it+mba 28 lpa. 214 students were placed out of 224 registered with a perecentage of 95 %.

I really like cleanliness in washroom and also in the college. I really like trees in college.
Faculty was really good and my subject teacher was teaching in a right way.
In this college the boys and girls in the ratio of 3:1.

Dislikes

Uniform is not allow in this college. I have no many clothes to wear day by day.
I don't like college timing. In winter season timing was not good.
Our campus is very small. And college fest is very less in this college.

Placement Experience:

In 7 semester students become eligible for campus placements. Many companies visited in this college like Wipro, Cisco, infosys, etc. Highest package in this college is 20 lakhs. Average package is 5 lakhs My plans after getting the degree is getting good job.

No strict policy for maintaining 75% attendance criteria but you should maintain at least of 60%
No dress code you can wear casual dresses to in the class but you will have to wear formals only in

Dislikes

The class length is very high and there are 80 students In a class in the class size is small and congested
The infrastructure is very bad as it won't providing basic necessity

Placement Experience:

The placement of this college are decent as the average package is of 6.5 LP which is good as compared to the fees you are paying almost 90% of a students gets placedd from here the companies including TCS and Wipro come here

IIST-honest review

i had visited almost all colleges in indore, but for one reason or another , i didn't take admission there. 1. for example , at Acropolis , a very high JEE percentile was required. otherwise ,you have to pay a higher fee. 2. i couldn't afford the fees at medicaps. 3.in the rest of the private colleges, the syllabus , placements are almost same. 4.finallly , the main thing is that the college environment should be good , and In IIST the environment is good also they focus on extra skill development through SIGs. you can take direct admission here via 12th marks and also can apply in councelling via jee percentile you will get the branch according to your grades....Read More
