Review of Haldia Government College

I don't think anyone would do any negative comments about our college. Our college is very good in all terms including teacher,non teaching staffs, course curriculum, extra curricular activities, sports, events etc. I think our college is one of the best general degree course colleges in Haldia.

1. Course curriculum of our physics department is very good.All the chapters prescribed by University is covered here.We have no problem regarding this. 2. Exams are happened per semester and also internal exams are there.

1. The placements and job opportunities are provided by our college.The college has conducted various interactive career opportunity seminars and workshops held by expertise from different organizations. The college also has been actively involved in organizing Job Fair and Campus Drive in collaboration with various industries and has had a high success rate of placement. 2. As per my knowledge our college does not provide internship.

All types of events are celebrated in our college.such as Swami Vivekanand ji birthday, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose birthday, Saraswati Puja, birthday and deathday of Rabindranath Tagore, Republic day, Independence day, Gandhi birthday, Teacher's day and all the events we celebrate. All the events celebrated in our college maintaining the rituals and rules.

Yes, the fees structure of our college is feasible not so expensive for all courses.The course fees taken from us is the sum of exam charge, laboratory charge sports charge and all the other charges applicable on us.

Our college offers us several types of incentives and scholarships from both government and non-government sources. 1.Tuition fee-waiver scheme: Tuition fee-waiver scheme or free studentship is the primary form of scholarship provided at the instituitional level. The Departmental teachers interact closely with their students and recommend their names for free studentship, based on their merit and financial conditions. In turn, the College authorities forward those proposals which are approved by Government and/or Non Government organizations. 2. Poor Fund: The instituition provides aid to the students from the Students ?Aid fund”, which is popularly known as the Poor-Fund, for various purposes such as examination fees, educational tour expenses, concession of hostel fees, etc. The Officer-in-Charge of the College also uses his discretionary power to waive the admission fees of needy students.

Many extra curricular activities are there suchas- 1.National Cadet Corps Unit- The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the Indian Military Cadet Corps wing of the Indian Armed Forces regulated under the Ministry of Defense, which recruits cadets from schools and colleges all over India. 2.National Service Scheme- The cardinal principle of the National Service Scheme (NSS) is to get a sense of involvement in the task of Nation Building. NSS is a voluntary association of young people studying at Higher Secondary schools, Colleges and Universities level. 3. The college has well developed laboratories for all practical subjects and also has a central library with a very rich collection of text books, reference books and journals numbering approximately 40,000. 4. There are two playgrounds within the college campus one with volleyball and badminton court. Annual sports organised by our college every year.

I admitted in this college via these steps: 1. Filled up online application form 2. Then merit list published and I got a chance for admission in this college. 3. I paid admission fees online and completed the e-admission process. 4. Then I went to the college at a certain date provided by the college to verify all the documents. And finally I got admitted in this college.

Our college's faculties are good in behaviour.The teachers are very helpful,they help us to clear our doubts. The non teaching staffs are also helpful. The admission faculties helped me very for my admission. Even the securities are like our family.
