Remarks

Best staff in College but college management is ruled by someone who don't no nothing about engineering.

Entrance Preview

Kerala entrance examination. As christian dominated easy to get even though was diffcult based on the mark in keam I got. As I opted this course because I had curiosity towards machines .

Course Curriculum Overview

Mechanical feild itself as day by all factors are changing all depend on mechanical. All field of engineering is covered by the mechanical. The man comfortness is made by mechanical as my area of interest is towards management and I can choose industrial management. We can divert to any field after mechanical as piping automobile manufacturing and so on.

Internships Opportunities

Yes I had done intern in Cochin shipyard there was no special stipend as I able to study more about the ship manufacturing and ship repair.

Placement Experience

Good placement with around 225 placement. Salary with 2lakhs to Major company is Infosys and aftr that many around 30 companies. We used to have a placement campaign and in case of banks also got special training. Most of them choose their recruitment but mechanical opting for good mechanical option as almost all are software based.

College Events

Arts-drishyaTech-bodhi, Basketball tournament, magnum. We have festival arts drishya and technical fest bodhi and one basketball tournament magnum. Technical festival and basketball is intra college festival and arts is intercollege festival. I got prizes in arts in poetry and many group items like steet play etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible compared to other management colleges.fees is 75000. They are taking an amount of one lakh as refundable deposit and 10000 as caution deposit in which 1000 they will deduct for alumni. Internet fee is there as 2000. They will make aa bill amount as due during university exams.

The minority scholarship is provided by our college. Most of them are minor but the family income was the basis for scholarship.

Campus Life

All college in engineering are dominated we mechanical as we call ourselves as royal. Our college is basketball oriented college It ruled by christian management. We have to festival arts drishya and technical fest bodhi and one basketball tournament magnum.

Hostel Facilities

They are totally good when compared to other colleges with good and clean toilet. The food is homely food as we feel like staying in home.Rooms are spacious with proper resources for studying. No powercuts and hostel is provided with WiFi connection as we

Good life memory

Likes

College ambience was too attractive. Friendly atmosphere ആൻഡ് very nice hidden spots and food spots inside the college
The faculty was too supportive and encouragive nature that was also in studies and extra curricular activities also that be very kind of them
There is not only aim to study but also encourage the extra activities. The management was also very supportive to students and also the faculties.

Dislikes

There is very strict to attendence. There was not to bunk the class every hour there will take the attendence and there will be absent they autimaticaly send sms to registerd phone
There is too many exams and assignments that will be little bit problem for students
Canteen facilities little bit bad in my college life time. There was not that much food veriety

Placement Experience:

From 6 th semester onwards campus placement taken. There was coming in bcs, infopark, wipro, etc. Companies are mainly appeared and also many other companies came select many students. The main companies take students in cutoff 8.5or9 cgpa. And some other compnies take students they have backpapers.

This college is not what it seems in the first look.

Likes

College was at a beautiful place. It was not a city but a beautiful place.
Hostel was great. I got many friends from there.
These are the only things that I can think of.

Dislikes

Teachers, they are horrible one one teacher named aparna was professional and ethical. My HOD was the worst.
Principal is the worst. She does not hear students side. She is money minded. I had a fee pending for not more than 2 week. When I went to her for signing my medical report she demanded that she will sign only after I paid that fee
The college does not encourage extra curricular activities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Remarks:

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

I applied for 4 college include the current one they were : 1)SRM , Chennai 2)M.A.C.E, Kothamangalam 3)MITS , Varikoli 4)V.J.C.E.T, Vazhakulam From these 4 colleges I was rejected by MA college and MITS. I think my KEAM score was too low to make it there . I got a seat at SRM for Electronics and Communication Engineering but was not financialy able enought to afford it. As I was applied for 2engineering colleges and 1 arts and science college. The name of the engineering colleges is 1)viswajyothi college of engineering and technology vazhakulam(Ernakulam) 2)Rajagiri school of engineering and technology (Ernakulam). And third arts and science college name is Amritha vidhya college (Ernakulam).
