Remarks

The college is really reputed. The facilities are good. The campus is very clean. The infrastructure is really good. The quality of life on campus is also great. The location of the engineering campus is in the outskirts of bangalore, so accessibility is a bit difficult because no metro is available.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose a BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. We have basically 3 internal exams and an End semester exam. The 3 internals are called as CIA 1, CIA 2 and CIA 3 respectively. CIA 1 and CIA 2 can be class tests or assignments or projects and are given by the facilities as they wish. CIA 2 is also a Mid-semester exam that is conducted by the university with proper hall tickets and seating arrangements. It is similar to how the university conduct the end semester exams.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are good this year compared to the previous years. College really helps us to somehow make it into a company. Any student who satisfies the criteria for being eligible for placements gets definitely placed in some company. College does provide internship but to very few students into the CDI and similar wings. Mostly students have to find internships from companies outside.

College Events

3.5

Bhasha Utsav- also called ethnic day, conducted once every year. All the students come in their ethnic wear and we have a cultural session were all the students from different regions of county perform an art form of their state. Followed by some performances by drummer and a dj party. Magnovite- A techno-cultural fest that is open to all the colleges a cross India. Students from diff colleges come down to our campus to compete against each other. Blossoms- this is a cultural fest that happens inside the college. The winners of this competition get to compete against the students from the other campuses. Conducted in our campus Inblooms- the winners from the blossoms participate in this against winners from different campuses. Organised in main campus. Christmas - we have a Christmas celebration every year and since this being a Christian institution Christmas is celebrated every year in a good manner.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible compared to the colleges around the city. The reputation of the college itself plays a great role. The fee is around 1.5 lacks for the first year and the second year. And 2 lacks for the third and fourth year. This is the tuition fee alone. The hostel, if you choose 3 sharing as I did, then the hostel fee will be around 35000 rupees for an year. This fee is excluding food since the hostel does not have a mess hall. The campus has 2 separate mess halls and multiple coffee shops for food.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not much aware about the scholarship but then I know that the college has a very good and attractive scholarship option. The details about the available scholarships are given on the college website. It's basically based on the academic performance of the student.

Campus Life

5

The college has some pretty good inter college fest's like darpan, blossom and inbloom. The college also organises mage events such as magnetite, which is a techno-cultural fest for colleges from all across India. Labs are well equipped and we are proud to say that our college has tied up with Mercedes Benz. They have set up a workshop where they test the trucks made by them under the guidance of employees from Mercedes Benz. The college has two full size and pretty huge football \ cricket grounds. 3 basketball court. 1 tennis court and 2 badminton court and also a couple of table tennis courts. The college also has a gym facility available.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I stay in the hostel for past 2 years now. Currently this is my 3rd year. The hostel facility is soo good. We have 2 option in selecting room. 3 sharing and 4 sharing. The college provides a good wooden chair, a table, a cupboard, a cot and a bed with pillows. We have common toiled but it is very clean since we have house keeping ladies who clean the entire hostel on a daily basis. We have solar hot water available all day long and if not then we have water heaters. From this year they have assigned a company that collects all the dress from us for the laundry. Each floor also has water filters with hot cold and normal temperature water available. We also has power backup that starts exactly with a delay of 30 seconds when the power goes. Also we have wifi facility 24*7 in the hostel. The hostel from this semester also has vending machine inside each block for the students to buy snacks and juice. The hostel also has lift facility. The hostel has strict timing policies and rules. A biometric attendance is implemented in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very strong alumni association. Been once a Christite is a strong feeling and we all love it. As a student here in the university, seeing them the alumni makes us feel proud that these people studied in the same college that we study. The alumni organises many events and camps for the students of the university. Thus the relation between the students and the alumni members are becoming more and more strong.

Admission

The college has an online application option on the official website where we can apply online. Once the application is successfully submitted online with digital copies or scanned copies of the required documents, we are supposed to send a copy offline via post to the college office. Once the application is shortlisted and selected, we have to go through an entrance test given by the university and an interview session followed by the exam. All the notifications regarding the exam and the interview will be given through the website and also via email. Once selected by the college we get the notification through the website. After the selection process, the website notifies us about the date that we have to visit the college for all the official paper works and also for a counselling session. This is basically how I got into the university for the BTech program in Computer Science and Engineering.

Faculty

4

The faculties are really good and the University have made it mandatory that all the facilities must have a doctoral degree. The faculties are very supportive and has good knowledge in the subject they teach. We have many faculties who are into the research field thus we as students get opportunity to work with them on their projects as well.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
