Remarks

College management is a sleeping money making machine. All they care is about the donations and fees received. Nothing is done for the students.

Entrance Preview

It was the normal HSC score. Got about 80% pcm and got Free merit seat in Pdvvp for BE electronics.

Course Curriculum Overview

1

At that point in time. I had no clue and went by the University ranking ie rank of Pune University. Later on since it was pune University syllabus, the curriculum was good. But the college lacked the staff to dwell deep into the subjects and concepts of engineering. This was grossly lacking. Partly due to the faculty experience and lack of communication skills and probably their lack of subject understanding. We did feel we learnt more by just studying the subject during the prep leaves before the exams.

Internships Opportunities

No. There was nothing like that provided. They didn't even have a placement Cell nor facilitated any student initiative to get internship trainings or vocational trainings.

Placement Experience

0.5

Pathetic. I dont recall any company coming to the college. The college didn't have a placement Cell. And there were just a handful of companies who would come and pick just about one or two localities. There was no reference system to even provide leads to walkin interviews in other cities or through other colleges in the vicinity.

College Events

1.5

They celebrated a very low scale annual festival. Which was dominated by the faculty. Politics and politics was the norm. Nothing could be done as part of the imagination of the students. Budgets were never sanctioned. It was more a sham than anything else.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At my time I had a free seat which was about 15000 per year and a hostel fee of about 8000. Now I've heard that they've hiked the fees astronomically. But the facilities are as they were 10 years ago. They keep charging and penalizing students for all sorts of weird things. Like lab breakage fees and fine. Computer keyboard usage fine and Various nonesense.

Fees and Financial Aid

None. College doesn't offer any facility or offers to even students from economically challenged backgrounds. There is nothing offered.

Campus Life

1.5

There are some facilities like badminton and chess and table tennis. But they are in poor shape. Nets are torn. Table tennis table wobbles. Students had to spend on their own and repair things before playing. There are no extra cirrucular activities actively promoted by the college.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel was a crumbling building. Toilets and bathroom were highly unhygienic. God only knows how we survived that. Mess food is another area of improvement. Contracts to vendors are not transparent. We can only guess who controls and manages it.

Exam Structure

The exams were all University based exams. Cheating was pretty rampant amongst those who could bribe the faculty and waterboys. The invigilators would turn a blind eye towards the localities. But ensure they troubled the Mumbai and North Indian students.

Faculty

0.5

Very poor. They lack the experience in teaching and communications. They are more interested in what happens in the hostel. Are very biased towards the localities and students from. Ahmad nagar and marathi speaking students. Students from the north and Mu

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
