Life at Pragati Engineering College

Overall, In East Godavari District Pragati Engineering College is the first priority for me to study engineering and to get placements. Compared to other colleges in East Godavari district students from our college can have better chances of getting placed.

I choosen Computer Science and Engineering branch in B.Tech. Course curriculum is very good and teaching is also good in my college. There will be semester exams for every 6 months and total for four years there will be 8 semester which you have to clear to get your degree.

Placements are very good in your college. A student who really want to get the job can be placed definitely and an average student can also get the job if he really want to get the job. But the internship opportunities are less in our college as only few of the students are getting internships.

Our college celebrate every big festivals and every National holidays like Independence day and republic day. And every year our college will celebrate Technical fest named STRIDES which helps students to showcase their skills and get rewarded.

Tuition fee will be around 70000-80000 per year and with other fee Totally around one lakh per year. But here government is provided some percent of fee reimbursement to economically poor people to complete their education.

College is offering merit scholarship for students who got best ranks in Entrance exam i.e Eamcet based on the ranks they are providing scholarships and for only students who got less than 20000 rank in Eamcet

There is cricket ground, basketball court, badminton court, Khokho and kabaddi court in our college and also indoor games like chess, carroms, Table tennis. Labs are good but not extraordinary. Infrastructure of labs is ok not very good.

No, I have not opted for hostel but I knew that hostel was built recently from past 1 year so it's new and infrastructure and facilities will be good. Food is some what average but hostel is very good as my friend is staying in hostel from 1 yr

Alumini helps us to develop our soft skills, communication skills, how to face interviews etc and senior students also shares their experiences of interviews they gone through to juniors. Seniors are very good and there is maximum no ragging as students are well disciplined in our college.

I wrote an entrance exam called Eamcet which is conducted every year by state government to study in best engineering colleges. Based on the rank you acquired you have to choose some options of branches with colleges in Eamcet counselling process after results declared for the exam. Merit gets seat in better colleges

Faculty in my college is so encouraging and helpful to the students. They have very good knowledge about their respective subjects. They encourage students in various other co-curricular and extra curricular activities apart from academics.
