Gunjan Nath Tiwari's Review On IBS, Hyderabad

I Took IBSAT(ICFAI BUSINESS SCHOOL APTITUDE TEST), The whole selection process consist of 3 stages, Initially one has to appear for written exam, then the second stage is Presentation round & the last stage is the interview round. I opted for this college because of better placement opportunities it offered.

Course curriculum was based on case study. It was in sync with the industry standards. Mostly the curriculum involed learning of concepts through real life cases. The cases were mostly from the in house research team ICMR.

The internship was a amazing learning experience. It was a 3 month exercise. The stipend ranged in between Rs 8000/Month to Rs 20000/Month. The major Companies were ICICI Bank, TATA Motors, TCS, NESTLE Etc.

Out of the batch of 900 around 875 students got placed. The package ranged between 4. 5 lacs/annum ctc to Rs 11 lacs/ammum ctc. Some Top Recruiters were1 Tata Capital Package Offered Rs 8. 5 Lacs /annum2. HDFC Bank Package offered Rs 7 Lacs/annum.

Lots of culture activities goes in the college. Some of the Events are1. Trishna Annual college fest2. Inter IBS sports meet3. Various inter club activities such as Marketing club maverick, Sports club VAPS.

I would rate the fee structure as moderate to expensive. The total cost of the MBA Programme including the hostel and the mess would cost around 15-16 Lacs. Excluding out of pocket expenses.

There are so many scholarship and loan facilities available to students. For example all the major banks offer education loans and the college assist the students in availing the same. Moreover scholarship facility is also available for meritorious students.

Excellent facilities when it comes to extracurricular, labs, sports. At par with all the top b schools, Zero tolerance with respect to racical discrimination race & ethinicity.

The best thing about IBS is the hostels. Single accommodation hostel with all the facilities such as wifi, LAN, table chair wardrobe, bed room cleaning, laundry services, common restrooms.

A huge alumni network because of the batch size. It is positive in some aspect and negative in other. The college seniors are quite helpful inside the college as well as there respective industries.

It was a mixed bag of things at IBS, Sometimes it was very hectic especially when the exam were nearby with lots of extra classes n all and some times it was a bit chilled out especially at the beginning of the semester.

The faculty were mostly best in the industry, with vast experience in professional world as well as in there respective specialized areas. Some visiting faculties from IIM's and other Top B schools visited the college regularly.
