college review

Studies were given a kot of priority in this college which is the only positive thing. Negative remark is that the college was really small, no good infrastructure facilities, no big canteen. Very small college overall.

The course was vast and informative. Exam structure was also good as it covered everything but it could have been better with more projects and assignments rather than just 2 semester based exams every year.

Placement and job opportunities are average in this college. The packages students are getting are very minimal and only few reputed companies are coming for hiring students. The process of placement and jobs is very particular and commendable though.

There were very few events celebrated. Every year there was a fresher's party at a particular venue. Then there was an inter Jims competition for different branches of the same college present in different areas of the city. And another one was an inter college competition of all the colleges present in the university. At last there used to be a Farewell function for the senior most batch who was going to pass out.

Very expensive. According to the facilities and infrastructure being provided to the students of this college, the fees is very high. If we compare it with other colleges of the same caliber and size and facilities being provided, it is very expensive whereas the others are less expensive.

We didn't get any information about any kind of good scholarship or loan facility being offered by our college. A friend of mine inquired about it but they said they didn't have any program which gave scholarship to students.

Extracurricular activities were pathetic. As the college was small, there was no playground to play any kind of sports. Labs were in bad conditions as well. Theatre or music or dance group was irregular and was not really active for students as compared to other colleges.

There is no alumni network as well. Although everyone is helpful to each other, even the seniors but if we have to contact them, we have to find out our own way, there is no established program or network to communicate with the alumni.

The faculty was fine but a lot of the teachers were teaching subjects in which they had no specialisation and they used to read from power point presentation. But the teachers had full knowledge of the subject they were teaching.
