Remarks

The infrastructure is not too good of the college but that of the university is huge. Also the library have a lot of books but not enough for such a reputed college with an A+ certificate. The canteen area is also without a roof and basically there are just chairs and that too in a very small area. Yet again the university prides itself for Asia's biggest library the central library and the canteen is also very good and spacious.

Placement Experience

0.5

Our college has no intership, atleast none that i am aware of. Placements are directly not offered from our college but it is offered in the university. The job opportunity is good enough because you got a passing certificate from on the most popular and reputed universities of India. It's on no.3 right now. The university is a central university so your certificate earns you a little name and gives your profile or CV more reputation and certainly it looks good. Also if your academics are good enough and if you are interested in teaching then by the recommendation of the Head of Department (of the subject in which you completed your PG degree) you can become an assistant professor who can be promoted to professor in the upcoming future.

College Events

4

There are a lot of different events which are regularly organised in the college and university both. Few days back our college held an international symposium for literature and philosophy. Some events are also organised by departments like poetry competition or any other seminars or such. Fresher's and Farewell are organised as well. And there are annual day, cultural day and a hell lot of other events. But most of those events are a bit old fashioned. Since we live in the heart of culture in Varanasi so we are a bit accustomed to it now. Old fashioned in the sense of culture and all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible. I mean when you compare it to other colleges or universities the fees are very less. For a general student it's approximately ?6300. But if you want to choose a UGDCA diploma course too with your main course then you have to pay ?3200 more. And if you choose a travel and tourism management diploma course then you have to pay 6000 more. And in the original 6300 your library fee is already included and so is all other small charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

We can apply for the U.P. scholarship but the college or university doesn't specifically provides us with any scholarship because the fees are already minimal when compared to other universities. BHU is a central university and I think that the government has some influence over it so the fee structure of this university is very less so the students who are studying here don't need a scholarship.

Campus Life

3

The college conducts inter-faculty sports event in which students of arts faculty, social faculty and commerce faculty compete with each other in cricket and football. And then the players who will represent the college are picked based on their performance. Those players then compete on the university level where we compete with the team of BHU and RGSC. Then you are choosen in the team of BHU. You can also take on hockey or athele or swimming or any other sports among variety of sports and activities like table tennis, badminton, basketball. The playgrounds of BHU are all open for us so we enjoy a lot. The labs are of top notch in BHU but in DAV since we don't have a subject for which we need a lab so we don't have any except music.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students are quite helpful, they help us out with a lot of stuff like providing us with notes from the previous year or say helping us to organise the fresher's party and other events. And if you can connect with the alumni network then it can be pretty awesome because most of them are so well placed in life and the experience which they have gives us a different insight and perspective of looking into things and college life.

Faculty

3

The faculty of the college hold an ocean of knowledge from which they regularly help and guide us. But some of the faculties are tired of their job i think because they seem to be lifeless. While there are professors who can give you knowledge and most importantly they provide with the thirst of knowledge. They give us the will of wanting to learn and know more. Many of the professors are alumni of our college and started teaching here after completing their course so they exactly know how to deal with us and make us understand anything. They also understand us a lot better because they have been on the same place few years back. Most of the faculties hold a doctorate degree and some have even D.Litt.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA curriculum in my college at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKVP) for the 2025–2026 academic year is structured under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, making it academically comprehensive but traditionally theoretical. It follows a six-semester system that offers a wide range of subjects, from core Humanities (History, Political Science, Hindi) to modern electives and Vocational courses (e.g., Nutrition, Yoga, or Digital Literacy), providing students with a multidisciplinary framework. In terms of relevance, the syllabus is exceptionally well-suited for students aiming for government services and competitive exams (UPSC/UPPSC), as the depth of social science subjects mirrors the state and national civil service patterns. However, its professional comprehensiveness is lower; while the curriculum includes internal assessments, presentations, and project work to build soft skills, the actual delivery remains focused on rote learning and theory rather than industry-ready practical training. Consequently, the course is highly relevant for an academic or administrative career path but requires significant self-supplementation (internships or external skill-building) for those seeking immediate roles in the private sector.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) is well structured, relevant, and comprehensive. One of the main reasons I chose this course was its balanced syllabus, which includes both theoretical concepts and practical applications. The curriculum is designed in a way that builds a strong foundation in core subjects while also introducing advanced topics gradually. This helps students understand subjects deeply rather than just studying for exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My Biggest reason to choose this subject to I like art related work,so I choose this subject. One advantage of doing this subject is that along with art,you can learn a lot from other social and cultural aspect as well. There is a need to make some improvements in this subject such a a course should be of shorter duration and the syllabus should be made a little shorter. Whatever the exam, the subject should be made a short subject with less duration and should not be of long duration.
