memorable time at GLA university

I had a great time being at GLA University. I recommend this college. I made a lot of good friends and inspiring faculties.

the course curriculum was very hectic. if you are in GLA you have to study hard. every semester there were a lot of exams and maintaining 75% attendance criteria is important. in my course, there was nothing to do in practicality expect industry exposure and visits.

placements are good. I god placed in a blue star, I joined the company immediately after completing college. I am working there from the past 3 years and I am glad I got this opportunity. the work environment is amazing and my boss is very humble. GLA gave me the best platform to start my career with. I definitely recommend every student to take admission in GLA because their placements are very helpful. the faculties and training & placement departments work hard to get the best companies for campus recruitment. they also focus on polishing the student's skills.

the university understand the students need and try to entertain them in the middle of the studies. most of the fests are celebrated from January to May. AROHAN which is an inter-college/university annual fest in which different types of activities are being done like poster making, rangoli, dance, singing, etc. whereas MAITREE is also conducted which is an annual sports meet. students get a chance to showcase their skills and talent. various indoor and outdoor games are conducted. the students also get a chance to play on a national level and above. there are other lots of are also celebrated like SRIJAN- a national inter-school competition, SPANDAN-annual university gala, JHOOM-cultural extravaganza, AGRATA- annual management carnival, TECHNITSAV- annual tech fest, ABHYUDAYA- inter-polytechnic technical fest, and UDAAN- wings for underprivileged child education. the university also invites celebrities and DJs.

the fee is not expensive as compare to other nearby colleges. they give you the best of knowledge and facilities around the campus. I exactly don't remember my course fees because its been years since I have passed but it was lum sum 45,000/-per semester that time.

the university also provides scholarships to students as well as give chance to avail of government scholarships.

the university is spread in 110 acres. it is very large and has all the required facilities in it. the girls and boys hostels work separately. It also has a gym and all the sports facilities. there are 4 girls hostels and 15 boys hostels on the campus. separate mess with each hostel. 2 main canteens are there on the campus. each department building has a separate pantry for snacks.

not much interacted with alumni. during the time of 3 years, there was hardly any interaction that took place. only guest lectures used to take place with the expert industry people.

during my time in GLA, the entrance criteria were 50%. the online test was conducted within the university, I cleared it with good marks and took admission. I paid the online test fee and my course fee also on the same day after taking the admission. the test was not hard, there were simple aptitude and general knowledge questions asked.

faculties are nice and humble. they are full of knowledge and humour. al most all the faculties are PhD and have years of experience. they are helpful and cooperative. Not all the faculties are nice some are rude also depends upon the student behaviour, also they have the expert knowledge of their subjects and always ready to help outside their subjects areas.
