Course Curriculum Overview
The five year course is divided into 10 semester which covers the entire scope of the legal studies. The syllabus is prescribed by the Karnataka State Law University. The course covered the entire scope be it the labour law, criminal law, corporate law, etc.
Placement Experience
Placements were good. Many local law firms, NGO and multinational corporates recruited students for the Internship process. Many of us were re-hired during our five year program. And some also got pre-placement offers.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee was on the higher side but the kind of exposure we got, was comprehensible.
Fees and Financial Aid
BHS HES Management offers generous scholarships which is “Merit & Need based”. There were other scholarship options for meritorious students.
Campus Life
The infrastructure comprises of all basic necessities of a legal student; library, legal aid, moot court hall, etc., It should have a separate campus, dedicated solely to the 'law branch', enabling free and unrestricted fusion of legal minds.
Hostel Facilities
Girls hostel was within the campus, but there was no hostel facility for the boys. We have to make our own arrangements.
Admission
Admission is on the basis of merit only. I applied by physically visiting the institute and waited for the display of merit list. My name appeared in the third waiting list, which was a bit frustrating, but it all worked out in the end.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio was 20:1 during my batch, and the class size was 60. The faculty was all qualified and had spend considerable time in their field of speciality. Many of them were phD scholars, while some were still practicing law in the court. The experience we gained from them was precious.
