Remarks

It's neither the best nor the worst, there's a good side and bad side of everything, so if by luck you came here just remember these few tricks to "survive" here: -Never skip the classes for the first 2 months, be regular. -Always submit your assignments and other stuff on time as these are the marks in your hand. -Never get late. -Always remember to carry your ID card lol. This one's a MUST.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

The course is simple and the syllabus is made for mediocre student level. The syllabus is divided into 3 units each containing 2 to 3 chapters max. Between semesters there are two mid-semester tests or MSTs of 36 marks. Internal marks weigh 40 including MSTs 12 marks each, 3 assignments 1 or 2 tutorial sheets, 3 surprise tests, and other stuff. Final Exams or externals are held at the end of the semester for 60 marks. Except for Polytechnic course all courses Question papers are made by the University faculty itself and Final exam answer sheets are checked by different faculties.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement is average almost all the courses sit in placement drive, but the drive is held for 2 other colleges also which comes under the same authority. Not all students are placed and only a few get good packages.

College Events

3

Lots of events are celebrated here. For example this year there was an AIU international youth festival in our University. Other than this film promotion is regular. And mainly Punjabi singers and actors come. So if you're looking for a Bollywood thing then it's difficult. All other activities like sports tournaments and youth fests are held here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

More than feasible and less than expensive. Some courses have feasible fees like engineering and hotel management etc. And some have expensive like that of the science field, arts field, and others. As it's a big University so you should expect some big numbers in fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Through CUSAT and other quotas like an army, caste, physical, etc. And also from JEE or other exam marks, you can get scholarships. If you're eligible for a loan then they can give you a loan. You just have to be aware of the process.

Campus Life

4

Labs are good they provide you with every possible instrument they can. There's a sports complex in which you can enroll and can play any sports you like, and if you've any national certificate in sports then this University is best for you they will cut your Fees, will give you a monthly income for diet, provide you attendance and other facilities. Basically, if you're good at sports then you'll live like a king here.

Hostel Facilities

3

I was in hostel for 1 year. Trust me they have best facilities for students. Either it's safety or other facilities, they don't compromise. But only thing is food quality, that's why I left hostel, but if we complaint about food they improve and after 1 month same, lol but food is better than so many other colleges out there.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are very helpful, and here's no ragging policy. The Alumni network is average but not everyone is helpful, Overall it's a mixture of helpful and nonhelpful people. Some will just postpone your work some will understand your problem and struggle and will help you.

Admission

I got admission via a direct process. The process is very simple you don't have to be a topper, you should only have min 50% in 12th or if you're opting for Polytechnic then also they don't have any fixed minimum marks criteria. And if you've cleared JEE MAINS or other exams you can get scholarships also. Also, another option is by giving the CUSAT entrance exam in which you can score well and can get scholarships up to 100%. So the process is simple and the same as other private universities. Also this year our University has been accredited with the NAAC A+ rating, so I think there may be few changes in the admission process.

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is average, some are helpful and have knowledge and can give you knowledge and some are just rookies they don't even have experience and are newly appointed. So basically you have to depend on yourself and some good teachers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course that is bsc in artificial intelligence and data science is quite demanding and I think this is the only field which is growing faster. Another reason for choosing this was I had huge interest in this field. But faculty, their teaching way and syllabus is too way less as compared to course. They focus more on their rather than the practical work but in this field practical work is more important than theory as theory plays no role in this field . They must reduce the number of mid sem exams conducted and focus more on making students better in practical work. After the starting of semester, just after 25 days when syllabus not even completed as the 1st unit.. they shout spreading the news of exams. We just got too busy in exams which make us feel distracted from our real work .
