Remarks

Everything is Ok with this College. Just one thing is Wrong. PTU checking Scheme is very tough or may be insufficient to determine student's calibre. I mean, each semester students are getting supple and then they are cleared all together at a once. I don't mean to say like each and every students gets supple but mostly Every student has got supple in the First Year Itself. But I would like to add on that this is merely a myth and your Hardwork will always pay. So, All the best. There are students who haven't Got even one single supple Till date in PTU exams.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course Curriculum and diverse and beneficial. Exam is conducted by PTU in each semester. Most of the students end up getting supple in various subjects and that too in first semester itself. To be frank, PTU demands Quantity and not Quality.

Placement Experience

4.5

Well, this is the reason to join this college for many. My review/Experience has been very good. See, this College invited a handful of Top Notch Companies from all over the country. You also get internship opportunities. Study Abroad is also a nice feature of this college. For getting placed you need to maintain a minimum of 60% throughout your Graduation, Intermediate and 10th. It isn't that guys who haven't scored a minimum of 60% in intermediate or 10th aren't eligible for placements. But then, they need skills that are different from others since they will be getting few chances compared to others since most of the companies demand a fixed Academic Percentage.

College Events

4

Almost each and every event/Festival is celebrated in our college. Teej and Lohri Festival are the most celebrated ones being a private college. Also, every year around Diwali an Annual Fest named Parivartan is held in which various singers, artists, stuntman's, dancers and others perform.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of B Tech atleast is feasible as compared to other Private colleges. Even IIT's/NIT's have the same fee structure or a little more as of CGC Landran. If you are looking for affordable college to pursue Engineering then you might think of this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarship or loan facility as such. I didn't took loan neither did I got scholarship. It was just normal. There are various incentives provided to meritorious students based on academic performance.

Campus Life

2.5

Labs are perfectly fine. Extra curricular activities are held regularly throughout the year. Fitness Freaks can showcase their talent during GYM Event. Crickets can participate in Landran T10 League.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is Amazing of this college. Seniors on the Workplace are Quite helpful and at Hostel they are like Friends. They guide you properly. Now, it's your duty to find the senior who is serious Towards his/Her career. Note: Being a Boy, I am Writing my Experiences. Same might apply to Girls as well. As far as College Details are concerned, they remain same for everyone.

Faculty

4

Faculty is average. My experience with the faculty has been quite awesome. I had been CR for a semester as well. Faculty in CGC college is supportive. You can approach them any time and they will be ready to clear your doubts. Being a Hosteller is an added advantage as you can approach your teachers anytime during college hours. It is going to help you at rush hours during Final exam.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

In 3rd semester a student is eligible for campus placement but it is all upto to students that they have to maintain a good cgpa and skills for interviews. In Chitkara university a good number of companies visited like Microsoft, google and they provide 100+ offerletters. 85-90 % students get placed in Chitkara university. After getting degree I firstly join to the company .

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
