Every coin has 2 sides and likewise, every college has its strengths and weaknesses. IIT Jodhpur no doubt is a great institute offering excellent placement opportunities, startup encouragement, the IIT tag, and high-quality education but it has its own sets of demerits that affect its overall reputation. Here are a few of them
- IIT Jodhpur has a very small batch size which minimizes exposure. Only a handful of students are interested in productive stuff and most of them just are here for fun
- Despite being a technical institute, IIT Jodhpur prioritizes cultural activities a lot and the most influential people are from cultural backgrounds. Fewer students are attracted to technical societies and more importance is given to cultural fests.
- IIT Jodhpur ranks even lower than some NITs because of the poor research culture it has.
- IIT Jodhpur is certainly lacking in terms of infrastructure. It has no well-developed market, enough canteens, and dining halls.
- The institute has an 85% attendance rule with no proxy.
- IIT Jodhpur has a poor faculty-to-student ratio.
Individually these demerits are not very major, but as a whole, these affect the overall learning experience to a great extent.
