Is RNSIT good?

I feel RNSIT is a good college for pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Cyber Security. The curriculum is relevant and prepares us for real-world applications. However, the campus life could use more events and activities to engage students. Overall, I think it's a good option for those looking to enter the cyber security field.

Absolutely, RNSIT is a great college. It's among the top four VTU colleges. Whether you're looking at academics, sports, cultural events, or college festivals, there's plenty of fun and fulfillment to be had. And don't worry about ragging; it's not an issue here. Students, whether seniors or juniors, are really helpful. Teachers and staff are also friendly and approachable for any academic questions you might have.

We're not sure if today's exam is off because our previous principal was all about sarcasm and never bothered to inform us via email or website update, unlike other colleges. This just shows how poor the administration is. Most teachers (I can't call them professors because they don't deserve it) have very little knowledge of their subjects. If you breathe wrong on campus, they'll fine you for it. They charge crazy amounts for simple things. For example, if you need a duplicate admit card that costs ?5 to print, they'll charge you at least ?100. The college seems really money-hungry. RNS might be a good person, but why squeeze so much money from students? If I shared this review with my name, I'd probably face backlash. Departments can be pretty harsh with students. The assistant by the principal's office deserves an award for being the biggest jerk. The ISE department's assistant (Madhu, I think) should get an award for having the most attitude with the least sense. Some teachers like Praveen from ECE are also contenders for that award. The principal is the most sarcastic person you'll ever meet, and not in a good way. He never helps and will insult you creatively. Honestly, the vice principal should be in charge because he knows more about the college and has a tech background.

Mechanical and EIE departments are the most relaxed. ECE isn’t the best choice, followed by ISE due to some strictness, and CSE is good for placements. ISE students have some issues with project submissions and internships, but hopefully, that'll improve. The infrastructure is consistent across the campus. They have lots of land, but the buildings aren't too impressive. If you want to enter the campus after hours, it's about ?90,000 extra. Yes, that's right. Non-hostellers can't get in after hours, and during college hours, if you miss even one class, you’ll have a hard time finding a place to sit because the guards are strict. Complaining to the principal won't help; he's sarcastic as ever. He might respond with something like, "Do you want a party organized for you?" The main ground is off-limits too, only dogs can roam there. Why build it, RNS? Just for AICTE and NAAC ratings? If you step on that precious grass, guards will chase you down. It seems like the administration doesn’t like students. If they didn't enjoy college life, why ruin it for us?

Teachers need to know their subjects well before teaching. We feel bad when they can’t answer questions. Don’t just teach for a paycheck. Improve the quality of education. If you prepare well, we’ll respect you. HODs should be more lenient with attendance. Marks aren’t everything; knowledge is. Especially Dr. Vipula Singh from ECE, who should focus on improving teaching quality rather than harassing students. I don’t understand why ECE teachers always send students to her like she’s their parent. She should give students a chance rather than detaining those who want to do well. We have good colleges back home; it was just bad luck we ended up here. I hope you realize this and help India progress. This college really fits the stereotype. Please take this feedback and improve things. I know you might delete this, but I can always write it again. Neither of us wants that. Just have a board meeting and address real issues.
