Thanks for asking, I'm happy to share not just my first day but my whole first week at NIBM Pune, which was full of excitement and fun. The National Institute of Bank and Management, established by the RBI in 1969, offers a 2-year PGDM program focusing on Banking and Finance.

Big shoutout to the seniors who created a WhatsApp group for us newcomers. They were super helpful, answering all our questions about the mess food, campus life, work culture, and placements. With lots of expectations, I finally made my way to NIBM.

On the first day, I got my hostel room. My dad and I unpacked our stuff. The room was nice, with bookshelves, cupboards, a study table, and other facilities. I took a quick nap after the long train ride.

Lunchtime had us heading to the mess, starving. We met a lot of new people, some familiar from Facebook groups, and chatted about college life, the food, and the weather.

The next day started with a 3-day orientation. Dr. K.L Dhingra, our Director, welcomed the PGDM Batch 2019–21 along with their parents. We had guest lectures by various speakers from 9 am to 5 pm.

On day two, the faculty introduced themselves and explained the course, curriculum, grading, and rules. The hostel warden and anti-ragging team also briefed us on regulations.

Day three was thrilling as seniors introduced us to different committees like Placom, Adcom, and others. We also took a tour of the beautiful 70-acre campus, checking out the library, sports grounds, lecture halls, gym, and more. I loved imagining my two years ahead at NIBM.

Formal classes began on July 1 with subjects like management principles, economics, and statistics. We engaged in case studies that sparked lively discussions.

Later, I attended a two-day conference celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bank Nationalisation. We discussed topics like NPAs and fintech with experts.

After such a packed schedule, my friends and I decided to relax by watching a movie and shopping. NIBM is close to markets, malls, and beautiful spots like Lonavala and Lavasa.

The weather is lovely, and the environment is peaceful here. Frequent rain showers are refreshing. I've made great friends, and the seniors and staff are always helpful. As a first-time hosteller from Delhi, I feel right at home at NIBM Pune. Everything here exceeded my expectations.

My first day at NIBM Pune was quite exciting! I was really impressed with the campus and all the facilities. The faculty members seemed really approachable and helpful, which made me feel more at ease. I was particularly eager to dive into the Post Graduate Diploma Management - Banking and Financial Services course because I’ve always been interested in finance. The way the curriculum is structured, with a focus on case studies and real-life examples, made me feel like I made the right choice. Overall, it was a great start!

On my first day at NIBM Pune, I was mostly focused on settling in and understanding what to expect from the Post Graduate Diploma Management - Banking and Financial Services program. The campus life looks promising, with lots of amenities and a strong emphasis on academics. I met some of my future classmates, and it was nice to see how passionate everyone is about banking and finance.

Although I know there will be challenges, like the monthly exams, the overall vibe was welcoming, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead!

Honestly, my first day at NIBM Pune was a mix of nervousness and excitement. Walking into the campus, I felt the energy from everyone around. I was eager to begin the Post Graduate Diploma Management - Banking and Financial Services course since it aligns with my career goals in finance. The orientation gave us a glimpse of the rigorous curriculum and the monthly exams ahead, but the faculty seemed really supportive. I also liked how connected the campus is to the city, making everything feel accessible.
