not daily for most students! here's the actual deal:
the uniform is navy blue blazer + steel grey trousers + college tie. Sikh boys must wear turban. you must buy from campus — off-campus not allowed. budget around Rs.2,000–3,000 for the set, buy it in your first week before stock runs out.
real talk — enforcement on Wednesdays is strict, security checks at the gate. other days wear anything decent. missing the Wednesday dress code repeatedly can lead to disciplinary action so take it seriously. the actual day-to-day vibe isn't as strict as people think — only Wednesday is the hard rule for most students tbh.
Wearing a proper uniform daily at Chandigarh University depends on the academic course opted by the student. In the case of courses like Hotel Management, Airlines & Airport Management, Law, etc., it’s compulsory to wear a proper uniform as per the program requirement. For all other courses students are required to wear and follow the Formal Dress Code as recommended by the University only on Wednesdays.
It is mandatory to purchase uniforms from campus. They are available within the campus and can be purchased at the beginning of your classes. It is highly recommended that students avoid buying their uniforms from stores off campus.
The uniform for boys & girls is the same. The winter uniform comprises of navy blue college blazer and steel grey trousers with a college tie. Wearing a turban for Sikh boys is compulsory. Patkas & caps and half pants are not permitted in the college and are considered as an act of indiscipline. All students must wear proper uniforms during workshops & seminars.
