How is the crowd in Wilson College Mumbai for B.M.S?
Some of my friends attended Wilson College for their BMS degree. You will get to meet people with diverse backgrounds from all over the country. The student crowd is good. As there are many extra-curricular and co-curriculer activities, you will get to work with many student and learn through interactions. This will certainly help you in your overall development.
Is IMS Noida good for a BBA program?
Since your investment in terms of money, time, and effort is significant, it would be advisable to consider alternatives like IP University or Delhi University for pursuing a BBA program. Alternatively, if you come from a commerce background and wish to pursue a career in management, B.Com (Hons) is also a good option to consider.
IMS Noida has a placement record of around 50% for its BBA program, with companies like Wipro and Air India being the major recruiters. However, the roles offered are generally limited to Managers, HR, Sales Executives, and so on.
Is there any bias against IPM students during placements in IIM Indore? Are they considered equal to PGP students?
Yes, there indeed is a certain level of bias that IPM students face during the placement process. But the reason is well justified. Being a newly established course, IPM lacks the certainty of success. The industries are only gradually developing their trust towards this course over the years. So the recruiters are still a bit hesitant in investing in an IPM student.
But if you look at the figures, you can see that the course has been gaining trust and climbing the ladder drastically over the past few years. Also, I don’t think it’s justifiable to draw a comparison between a 7-year-old program that has already been recognized (PGP) to a newly established course (IPM).
People usually compare these 2 programs because they see IPM as a means to join IIM by escaping CAT. This is not the case at all. IPM is much more than that. It needs no comparison to any other program. It is a full-fledged integrated course that is way ahead of other undergrad or integrated courses across the nation both in terms of the kind of education it offers and the placements.
Is IIM Ranchi's IPM program worth it?
Yes, the IPM program of IIM Rohtak is actually worth it because it’s an IIM after all. Both Rohtak and Indore excel at their IPM programs. If you are not willing to sit for the CAT again and are not confident that you will get in despite trying this is the best option for you. But if you want to explore more opportunities and are confident of getting a better CAT percentile next year this program may not be for you.
IPM or Integrated Program in Management is a 5-year program of business studies from undergraduate to postgraduate level (Integrated BBA-MBA). Students will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the end of the program.
Curriculum: The foundation of this program is broad covering areas like humanities, social sciences, arts, and sciences. Other areas that are tackled by this program are management, marketing, accounting, finance, economics, information systems, data science, and strategic management. The pedagogy involves lectures, classroom discussions, experiential lessons, case analyses, simulations, group projects, internships, and mentorships that help in creating an active and student-favorable environment.
Fees: The total fee for the first three years of the program is INR 1,593,000. These fees do not include mess charges.
Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for the IPM program are as follows
- Candidates who have passed 10 + 2 with a minimum of 60% Marks.
- 55% Marks for SC / ST / PWD.
- Indian Nationals & PIO / OCI Card Holders are eligible to apply for the Program.

IIM Ranchi Admission Process for the IPM program consists of 4 Stages, which are as follows:
- IIM Ranchi Reviews Applications received for IPM Program.
- Candidates are Shortlisted based on their Valid SAT / IPMAT (Conducted by IIM Indore) scores.
- Shortlisted Candidates are called for Personal Interviews for Final Selection.
- IIM Ranchi Finalize Candidates based on their Overall Performance in Personal Interviews & their Overall Academic Scores
Overall I personally feel that the IPM program at IIM Rohtak is worth trying.
How did your IPM AT IIM Rohtak go?
Below is the experience of an IIM Rohtak student who did his IPMAT during covid.
It was always going to be difficult to conduct a fair online exam in this day and age, but IIM Rohtak took the exam to an all-time low. The following are the highlights of the exam:
The online exam was conducted in an 'open book' format, using Google Forms and no effort was made to proctor the exam - which means students could have their friends and family assist them using Google, WhatsApp, Zoom, and any other technology they could think of. After 45 minutes, the form would not even submit itself. To pass the test, the student had to maintain their integrity.
Every student had the same paper, in the same order. It's no surprise that within minutes of the exam starting, WhatsApp and Facebook groups were flooded with questions and answers. Most students are required to submit answers that they have simply copied from the internet.
Some of the questions were difficult to answer. This is especially true when the paper setters fail to include the accompanying diagram to logical reasoning questions.
Which book is best for preparation of the IIM Indore IPM?
To get admission to IIM Indore, you have to clear the CAT exam successfully and it is considered one of the toughest exams in India. But here are the names of some of the best books which will be very helpful for the preparation for the CAT exam.
Pearson's IPMAT Book :
- This is a very popular book for IPMAT. It is one of the oldest books for CAT preparation and it also includes analysis of past year patterns.
- The latest version of this book would be more refined and will have some more valuable information that will be needed for your preparation.
Arun Sharma :
- This book is very popular for CAT quant preparation.
- The first two levels of this book can also be used for IPMAT quant preparation.
Maths NCERT Book :
- This book is very underrated as many students don't give much importance to this book.
- But this book is very important for your maths preparation.
- There will be many questions in the exam based on this book.
Others :
- Apart from these books, also go through some coaching materials such as TIME's career launcher, online coaching videos as these include valuable information.
- Practice previous year’s question papers as this will give you an idea of how tough the exam is going to be.
Hence, these are some of the important books which will be very important for your CAT preparation. If you go through all these books then you will surely clear the CAT exam and get admission to IIM Indore.
Is Mount Carmel College Bangalore good for BBA?
Mount Carmel College (MCC) is very good for BBA. The placement is average but improving gradually.
Academic Curriculum is good as well. The exposure given to the students is great. Overall it is an average college for BBA, but for other degrees, it is quite reputed and popular among aspiring students.

If you're interested in doing BBA, you can go for Christ, as it is considered to be a better institution for BBA. You can also opt for other B-Schools to opt for BBA.
Is preferring IPM from IIM Indore over engineering a good decision?
According to one of my friend's personal experiences, you should recognize what you want to do in life further. Whether you want to continue in a technical field or a management field. The next thing is the decent package and the prestigious company, you get your placement.
If Engineering is your choice -
- If you manage to get into IIT Kharagpur or IIT Bombay and spend approximately INR 10 Lakhs for the entire course.
- Then the salary package you receive is INR 10-11 LPA.
- So in this case you can clearly demarcate the difference between expenditure and earning.
If IPM is your choice -
- If we consider that you have taken the IPM course in IIM Indore and spend INR 26 Lakhs till the completion of the course.
- Then get the placement of around INR 17-18 LPA.
Comparing these we can see that by the time your package reaches INR 12-13 LPA being an engineer from IIT, the salary of the IPM graduate reaches very high. So this is where the difference is being created.
Thus we can say that rather than just focusing on return on investment, look for the average package that will last for your entire life.

Is NSIT good for a BBA?
Here are a few pros and cons of a BBA from NSUT Delhi-
PROS
- Brand: NSUT Delhi is a brand in itself and has a good reputation in the entire country. Many companies visit for recruitment, so you need not worry about that front.
- Location: NSUT Delhi is located in Dwarka, the heart of Delhi. You will get good connectivity from the campus. Shops and malls can also be accessed easily.
- Students: The selection process is rigid so the crowd consists of hardworking, bright, and innovative students.
CONS
- Hostel- The college has only half the seats in its hostels as compared to the total students studying in it. Therefore, getting a seat can be quite difficult.
- Animals- This may shock you but because of its forest area, NSUT Delhi is home to some strange animal species including snakes, monitor lizards, etc.
- Stream- NSUT Delhi is mainly known for its Engineering, and not its management courses. Also, you won’t have very good interactions with the Engineers and there might be some friction.
- Uncertainty - BBA is a new course at NSIT Delhi. Therefore, you will find difficulty in gathering placement records and study material. Also, the environment might not really suit you.
- Strictness- Study and attendance criteria are strict at NSUT Delhi. You might feel overwhelmed at times.
I would say NSUT Delhi is a good choice for a BBA but if you get any DU college, go for it.
