Which MBA is better, IMT Ghaziabad (dual country course) or an MBA from BITSOM Mumbai?
Too close to call. Both are good choices to consider. On the other hand, if I have to take a call, I will most likely use BITSOM. Based on the below-mentioned reasons;
- Has a clear and compelling vision. aspires to be one of the best schools there is. Has aspirations on a worldwide scale.
- Has recruited highly qualified faculty and teams
- Very strongly supported
- Being open to making investments.
Therefore, it's possible that both will be tied in the short term, but I have a feeling that in the long run, BITSOM will pull ahead. The MBA, on the other hand, is strictly a long-term investment.
Which one is better: PGDIE at NITIE or MTech in nanoscience at IISc?
It all actually depends on your interest. As both of these options are completely different and two different areas of interest. You must choose what you find interesting. There would not be any conflict between these two institutes over the placement stats as both of them will give good placements to their students. Should I join IIIT Guwahati for ECE, or should I join NIT Silchar's EEE?
Having a few friends studying in both of these institutes, I can provide you with some details based on my interaction with them. IIIT Guwahati and NIT Silchar are both institutes of national importance. The NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2020 is 66 and 46 respectively.
- If you want to join the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) branch, IIIT Guwahati is the only choice because NIT Silchar does not offer this branch.
- But for others, like Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), NITS will be the best selection.
- Even the alumni of NITS are biased towards their institute.
- The campus of IIIT Guwahati is new. The institute is well-equipped but yet far behind NITS.
- IIT Guwahati has a weaker base of alumni. The reason is that it came into existence after NITS.

Which is the better course between NIT Trichy ECE or IIT Bhubaneswar for Metallurgy ?
NIT Trichy would be a better choice than IIT Bhubaneswar for Metallurgy because of the following reasons.
- The placements are better for in ECE than in Metallurgy.
- If students fail to get core placement in NIT Trichy, they can still try for top-notch coding and management companies recruiting from the ECE department.
- There are numerous Technical clubs for first years students who are passionate about Electronics.
- NIT Trichy has lower academic fees than IIT Bhubaneswar. But it may vary for different courses. The course fee of B.Tech in NIT is 72,100 whereas in IIT Bhubaneswar it is 1.4 lakh.
- In terms of quality of infrastructure and social life, NIT Trichy is better than IIT Bhubaneswar as it is much older.
- NIT Trichy ECE in 2019 has undergraduate placement of 95% and IIT Bhubaneswar Metallurgy has 90% placement in 2019.
Is IT in IIEST Shibpur better than Electrical at NIT Durgapur based on placements?
I have a friend at IIEST Shibpur and here is his insight on the IT placements at the institute.
The placement statistics at IT in IIEST are excellent. The esteemed companies that are recruiters for IT include PwC, Veritas, HSBC, Microsoft, Adobe, TCS, CTS, Wipro, Infosys, etc. You will be offered internships in your 3rd year. The major recruiters in IIEST are IT companies. Therefore, from the IT department, the majority of students are able to receive placements except for a few.

Which IIM is better if I want to pursue MBA in marketing, IIM RAIPUR or IIM ROHTAK?
Both the IIMs, IIM Rohtak and IIM Raipur give an edge to each other in the sense that they have similar faculty, teaching methodology, rankings, placements, and brand value.
However, IIM Rohtak has a locational advantage being situated in the NCR region. This attracts more corporates and companies for placements. It also has a bigger batch size than IIM Rohtak and a strong alumni base.
Ultimately it’s you who decides the B School that is most suitable for you. Both these IIMs are almost similar but I have to say IIM Rohtak gives a slight edge to IIM Raipur.
Which should I take for engineering - physics at DTU or electronics and communication at IIIT Una?
Both of the colleges have their own specialties. It depends on your purpose for doing any of the mentioned courses. One of my friends graduated from DTU and he mentioned a few points about the same which may be helpful for you-
- If your focus is on taking a decent job after graduation or earning money, opt for other options than physics.
- But if you have your interest in the field of research in physics or you want to do your higher studies in the field of physics, then go for Engineering in Physics.
- My friend from the physics branch in DTU straight away mentioned that the physics department in DTU doesn’t have decent placement opportunities, be it the on-campus placement or off-campus placement.
- ECE being a practical-oriented subject has a lot of demand in the industry.
- Also after graduating with ECE, you can sit for placements of both core companies and IT firms. Thus there will be a lot of job opportunities.
- Half of the students who have enrolled themselves on the physics branch were misled and the other half was too sure and passionate about this branch.
- Whereas, ECE at IIIT UNA can provide you with a good job right after you graduate.
