What is the placement record of M-Tech electrical engineering students in IIT BHU? Is it better to join the M-Tech program in IIT BHU?
IIT BHU placements are good for M.Tech Electrical Engineering. Students of the branch get placed in core as well as non-core job roles. If you have good coding skills you can easily get placed in MNCs. Accenture, Cisco, Cognizant, DRDO, Future First, Wipro, TCS, Nvidia, etc. are some of the top recruiters for the branch. Around 94% of students from the branch get placed with an average CTC of INR 8-10 LPA.
Which one is better: BIT Sindri or BIT Patna?
Two of my cousins went to BIT Sindri and BIT Mesra, Patna extension.According to both of their experiences, BIT Sindri is better than BIT Patna.Here is a comparison of the two institutes.
Fees:
One of my cousins spends one lakh per semester for his BE degree at BIT Patna. While the other completed his BTech degree for around 70,000-80,000 at BIT Sindri.
Type of Degree:
BIT Mesra offers BE degrees for engineering. While BIT Sindri offers BTech degrees for the same. There’s a slight difference between BE and BTech. BTech degrees are only delivered by Govt. colleges like IITs, NITs, etc. and BTech has an edge over BE.
Infrastructure:
BIT Sindri definitely offers better infrastructure despite the fact that it is quite an old institute.
Hostel Accommodation:
The hostel accommodation at BIT Sindri is not good. BIT Patna has much better hostel facilities.
Other Facilities:
Playgrounds, hangout spots, Wi-Fi facilities are far better at BIT Patna.
Placements:
Placement at both institutes is almost the same. My cousin from BIT Sindri was placed at Electrosteel. Whereas, the one from BIT Patna was placed at Infosys.
Campus Life:
Well, campus life at all the engineering colleges has the same pattern, i.e. friends, parties, fest, etc. These institutes are not the exception.
This information should be enough to choose one of these two institutes. So, choose according to your preference.
What are your experiences of IISER Int. PhD interview and exams? What are some sample questions given in the entrance test or interviews? What is the pattern of the entrance test at IISER Mohali?
One of my friends took the entrance test for integrated Ph.D. program in Physics at IISER Mohali. His experience throughout the entire process is discussed below in brief.
- The selection process includes a written test followed by an interview. The written test takes around 60-90 mins. Students who clear the test are shortlisted for the interview.
- The question asked in the test are objective type. The difficulty level is moderate. If you have a thorough understanding of your undergraduate subjects, you can easily solve the paper in time. You will need to wait for a couple of hours for the result to be displayed.
- The interview will last for about 20-40 mins. The interview panel usually consists of four faculty members. They usually ask basic questions to test your fundamental knowledge of the subject. If you don’t know the answer to a particular question, it is better if you say it clearly, rather than guessing.
How do I score good marks in the JNTUK exams?
In order to gain good marks in the subjects that involve problem-solving concepts, you should have a clear understanding of the concepts.
- You must answer every question (you can leave choice-based questions).
- Presentation skills should be proper. Good handwriting and neat diagrams in your answers are mandatory.
- According to some students, your score could also depend on the number of pages you fill.
- No matter the question in your paper, it is the length of your answer that would help you in acing among other classmates of yours.
- You must strictly follow what is being taught in class. Write down notes and revise them before exams.
- Scoring in lab tests is the easiest therefore practice correctly for your internal and external examinations.
- Do not miss your lab exams. You would be able to score well in your viva with a bit of revision and practice
- The final semester exams are held without any gaps therefore practice writing at a fast pace.
Do not leave your preparations for the last minute as it would become really burdensome during exam week. Go through the previous questions of your branch in order to gain an insight into the kind of questions asked during the exams. Follow these steps and you would certainly score good marks.
Comparing the Osmania medical college and Gandhi medical college, which is better?
both are prestigious Hyderabad govt medical colleges but quite different in character.
Osmania Medical College — one of the oldest medical colleges in India (est. 1846!), affiliated to Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences. massive patient flow through Osmania General Hospital, which means incredible clinical exposure. legacy institution with strong alumni network. infrastructure is older but constantly being renovated. if raw clinical exposure and learning volume matter, Osmania is exceptional.
Gandhi Medical College — relatively newer, modern infrastructure, cleaner facilities. attached to Gandhi Hospital which is also a massive government hospital. growing faculty base. slightly better hostel and campus conditions than Osmania.
what most people don't compare:
- both admit via TS EAPCET/NEET counseling through KNRUHS — Osmania typically has a slightly better NEET cutoff reflecting its prestige
- Osmania is closer to central Hyderabad — better city connectivity
- for PG prep: Osmania's high case volume gives you an edge in clinical skills for DNB/MD entrance
if you get Osmania, take it. the legacy, patient volume, and alumni network are genuinely hard to beat. Gandhi is also a solid choice if Osmania doesn't work out — don't stress between the two, both are great institutions in Telangana.
What is it like to do chemical science and technology at IIT-Guwahati?
Chemical Science and Technology is a great choice for those who have a genuine interest in the subject of Chemistry.
- It comprises inorganic, organic, and other aspects.
- It covers aspects of drug design, medicinal chemistry, material science, environmental science, and even molecular biology.
- It is a research-oriented discipline
- It's a contemporary of Engineering Physics
- Its syllabus covers topics like nano-chemistry and nano-technology which is the next big thing in the engineering sector
Prospects
- The prospects of CST are not at or with that of Chemical Engineering unless you are going to opt for non-core jobs.
Chemical Engineering, on the other hand, is a blend of a profusion of physical chemistry along with a mess of physics, math, and many other things. It entails the processes that help maximize efficiency, increase profit, and focus on the best possible way for the production of any product in any industry.
Prospects
- The prospects of Chemical Engineering are better than CST and its students receive better packages.
Ultimately, it’s all about if you are going for core or non-core jobs. Either way, Chemical Engineering is a better option than CST unless you have a serious inclination toward Chemistry.
How is life for freshers at IIT Roorkee?
A fresher at IIT Roorkee lives his life to the fullest during the first year. They will find a family among their roommates and friends and will develop a homely feeling towards the college.
- Campus ambiance: The best part about IIT Roorkee is the harmony between the seniors and juniors with no ragging at all. You can seek help from them related to any matter be its studies or your personal life.
- Infrastructure: The campus is small making it possible to cover the distance between the hostel and classes quickly. Also, the campus is extremely beautiful and will leave you in awe of the serene view.
- Non-city life: Roorkee does not offer the much-coveted city life but it actually works in favor of the students who have no option left but to socialize and make new friends
- Academics: The academics are balanced and one can attain a good CG by just studying for an hour daily. Some students even don’t consider attending classes necessary and yet are able to maintain a good CG.
- Trips: The location of the college offers excellent getaways like Rishikesh, Mussoorie, Chandigarh, and Delhi just a few hours away.
- Professors: Like any other IIT, Roorkee has a mix of good and bad professors. You have to bear with all of them for your own sake.
- Campus groups: IIT Roorkee has a number of campus groups involved in activities ranging from coding to automobiles to social service. You are likely to find one that aligns with your area of interest.
The life of freshers at IIT Roorkee is definitely an enthralling experience.
How is life in IIM Trichy?
