There certainly are many differences between IIM Ahmedabad and IIT Bombay. IIT Bombay promotes freedom whereas IIM Ahmedabad teaches you accountability. IIT Bombay gives you the ability to dream whereas IIM Ahmedabad helps you change them. IITB is more generic in nature whereas IIMA focuses strictly on core concepts. NIT Srinagar is better than JMI. It offers better placements. Branches like CS and EC have a placement average of around 80-90%. Most students get placed in the IT sector. The highest CTC received by the students is around INR 20 LPA. 

Samsung, IBM, Paytm, etc. are some of the major recruiters that visit the NIT Srinagar placements.

IMT is indeed a brand name but unfortunately, the brand's credibility is applicable only to IMT Ghaziabad. The other campuses carry very little brand worth and legacy of IMT. If there is an IMT that is slightly near to comparison then it is IMT Hyderabad. The other campuses are new and lack recognition. IMT Hyderabad campus is visited by some extremely reputed local companies thereby offering better placement opportunities.

Some institutes that give an edge to IMT Hyderabad in Hyderabad itself are 

• ASB (Ashoka School of Business) Hyderabad,
• NMIMS
• SIBM
• Hyderabad Business School

ASB offers dual specialization and good placement at only INR 6.9 Lacs. The ROI period is only around a year.

It is a very subjective question and the choice is ultimately yours to make. I would, though, give you some insight on KIIT.

The faculty at KIIT is very helpful. The teachers guide us whenever we need help. There is a strict no-ragging policy on campus and the seniors are amazing. We engage in a lot of extra-curricular activities besides study. KIIT Fest is really good and everyone looks forward to it. 

Both KIIT and SRM have great faculty and placement records. Both institutions offer good opportunities. You should choose according to your personal preferences. For making an informed decision, I would recommend you talk to the students from both institutions and also do some basic research at your end.
