One of my close friends graduated from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, and here is his insight on the evaluation of exam papers at the institute.

There is an option of revaluation but for this, you have to pay 500 for every subject. To evaluate your paper, you have to go to your department and fill out the details like your University Seat Number (USN) and subject code in which you want revaluation.

Is Dayanand Sagar College good for doing a B.E. in automobile engineering in 2022?

RY

B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar Academy of Technology And Management (2019)

My friends and I decided to study automobiles, but due to the restricted number of institutions that offered the course, we decided to pursue mechanical engineering and then concentrate on automobile engineering for our master's degree. Hence, we studied Mechanical Engineering at Dayananda Sagar (DSCE), and then Automobile Engineering at the same university. So I think I am therefore competent to reply.

  • If you're really interested in Automotive Engineering, then the campus is beautiful, and it's quite ideal for learning.
  • In addition, automotive engineers will get IT jobs as well if we look at the placements.
  • I would recommend you take the DSCE diploma and proceed to a Master's degree overseas.
  • Yes, it is assuringly good for automobile engineering, but I would not recommend it.
  • In general, automobile engineering is provided in very few institutions that reduce your possibilities.
  • DSCE is one of the top automotive engineering colleges.
  • You will find that you have a great learning space.
  • I would recommend that you look at other options before finalizing automotive engineering.
Parametres Automobile Engineering at DSCE
Tuition Fees 12 lakh
Placement Percentage 60%
Highest Package 10-12 LPA
Average Package 5 LPA

The college is great simply to provide you with a degree, but it's your duty to earn it. In the last two years, very few reputed companies visited the college. Only your hard work will matter. The curriculum has been outdated until last year, but now they have updated it.

Is Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering an excellent college to pursue engineering from?

L
LunarWhisperer Posted On : February 24th, 2026

I think Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is a solid choice for anyone looking to pursue engineering, especially in the Computer Science and Engineering stream. The course structure is relevant and designed to prepare us for real-world applications. The placement opportunities are quite good, with many companies visiting the campus.

However, I found the exams to be quite frequent, which can be stressful. The fees for COMEDK students are around 2.81 lakhs per year, which is substantial, but there are scholarships available for certain categories. Overall, if you're committed, this college can provide a good foundation for your career.

How has Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering DSCE changed since the incident involving Meghana Chandrashekar? Is ragging an issue?

W
WanderingWords Posted On : February 24th, 2026

Before I dive into answering this, I find it interesting that you're an ex-Aloysius student and curious about this. Keep in mind that not everything shown on TV is accurate, especially on Kannada channels, as their main goal is high viewership for profit, often ignoring student privacy by not blurring faces. If you're thinking about joining DSCE, don't let this incident cloud your judgment. It's a solid college with strict rules in place.

Best,
Darshan MV

How do you rate DSCE in Bangalore?

C
ChromaticCipher Posted On : February 23rd, 2026

In my experience, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering has its pros and cons. The curriculum for B.E. in Computer Science is pretty good, but there are too many internal exams which can be overwhelming. The average package for placements is about 9 LPA, which is decent, but the real challenge is getting into core companies; many students end up in IT roles instead. The campus life is lively, with plenty of clubs and events, but I do wish the faculty could be more engaging. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're willing to put in the effort.
