M.tech renewable Energy in JNTUK kakinada worth studying?

AR
Anamika Roy Posted On : October 6th, 2021
M.Tech Renewable Energy,Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University,Kakinada (2018)

In JNTUK, there are no campus placements available for master’s degree holders. TCS sometimes visits for the interview of post-graduate students and only hires a few students depending on their performance in interviews.

The course is not recognized by AICTE so you won't get many opportunities after completing your course and won't even get any stipend through your GATE qualification.

It is better to prepare for IITs or IISC if you want a career in this field, as these institutes will help you a lot to achieve your goal. Also, a post-graduation from an IIT or IISC will add a boost to your career. It will also be very easy for you to opt for research internships or a Ph.D. if you are planning to do in the future.

It will be better to avoid this college and rather prepare for some better colleges such as IIT or IISC because there are no campus placements available here and neither you will get any kind of opportunities or exposure studying in JNTUK.

SR

IIT Mandi is better for the ME branch than IIT Ropar and IIT Patna. Of course, all the IITs offer good classes to their students. But IIT Mandi stood out among all the others.

IIT Mandi campus is spread across 520 acres in an eco-friendly atmosphere. If you are enthusiastic about ME, then broad opportunities are coming. If you follow the classes regularly and have a consistent study routine, then you will excel among others.

IIT Mandi also aids students in improving their social skills, and the seniors will be open-handed. You will never regret choosing IIT Mandi; they will help us all the way to achieving our dream.

Which is better, an M.Tech from Symbiosis or IIIT Bangalore?

BG
Bidita Ghose Posted On : October 20th, 2023
Lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

IIIT Bangalore is the right choice for your M.Tech. Here are some reasons why-

  1. IIITB is the second best IIIT.
  2. It has great infrastructure, faculty, and placements.
  3. It is semi government, semi private.
  4. It is located in Bangalore. The silicon city is home to most of the IT companies in India.
  5. The environment of IIITB is excellent.
  6. Its student crowd is of top quality. Students leave 2nd and 3rd gen IITs for IIIT Bangalore.
  7. The average package offered to IIIT Bangalore students is nearly five times more than that offered to Symbiosis students.

I would recommend you choose IIIT Bangalore for your M.Tech as it is far superior to Symbiosis for Engineering courses.

Which is better for an MTech: IIT Delhi or IIT Madras?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : July 17th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

One of my cousins was in a similar dilemma and she considered the following points before making her decision.

  • Placements-wise, IIT Delhi gives a slight edge to IIT Madras although as a whole the scenario is pretty much the same.
  • The campus ambiance and culture as a whole of IIT Madras are more driven toward individual personality development.
  • If you are planning to start your own business one day, IIT Madras is the right place for you. Its rich startup- culture focuses on inculcating entrepreneurial skills in the students.
  • IIT Madras campus has a better climate than outside the campus so most of the time you will be spending inside the campus.

Although both the colleges have their unique strengths and weaknesses, IIT Madras seems to be a slightly better option than IIT Delhi especially if you are a nature lover !

Which one is considered better, IIT Hyderabad for an M.Tech CSE (RA) or BITS Pilani for CSE?

BG
Bidita Ghose Posted On : May 20th, 2023
Lives in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Before I begin, let me clear the misconception that the 3-year MTech program is inferior in quality to the 2-year MTech program. Because of this false assumption, the higher ranking MTech students tend to choose the 2-year MTech programs instead of the 3-year program.

Similarity

  • In reality, the credibility of the degree you are awarded and the credits requirement of both programs are equal.

Differences

  • The difference is that you will have to invest more time in your RA (research assistantship) duties. 3 year MTech is funded from research projects so you will be working on research projects quite early. 3 years are more than enough to get publications with the right determination and hard work. This is extremely beneficial for higher studies as well as making the most out of your skills.

Both IIT Hyderabad and IIT Bombay offer 3-year MTech programs. There may be some other IITs as well offering similar programs.

Between BITS and IIT Hyderabad, I think the latter is a better option from a research point of view. Additionally, IIT Hyderabad also has a locational advantage, better connectivity, industry, expert interactions, etc.
