RA
Rahul Anand Posted On : January 11th, 2023
Studied Marketing at Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, India (Graduated 2020)

I think that Udaipur is one of the most underrated IIMs. To elaborate on this point let me enlighten you with some amazing facts about it

  • IIM Udaipur is the youngest B-school in the world to rank in the top 100 FT(Financial Times) Masters in Management ranking globally.
  • It ranks better than IIM Indore
  • It is ranked along with IIM Indore in the 101+ category in the World QS Ranking
  • IIM Udaipur is the youngest B-school in India to get AACSB Accreditation.
  • IIM Udaipur is ranked 4th in Research in India in the research ranking by UT Dallas and has overtaken Calcutta which is in the 5th position

In reality IIM Udaipur is an IIM that has an extensive research culture. The rankings are a reflection of how quickly it has climbed the ladder. It is due to its high-quality research that many excellent permanent faculty has become a part of IIM Udaipur. This does not make it the best IIM but still, it is heading toward becoming the best.

Another major attraction of this institute is its impartial nature in every aspect be it placements or admissions. The students are not deceived at any point at all.

The placement statistics are seeing a gradual improvement over the past few years.

Is there Management Quota in NSIT DELHI.?

KP
Kalyan Pande Posted On : August 22nd, 2023
Studied at NSUT

NSUT Delhi is a government engineering college and unlike other private engineering colleges, it does not have a management quota at least officially.

Although there are many rumors of unethical means adopted in admission, that is something every college is involved into a certain extent, and wasting your time on that is futile.

The college, however, does have a staff quota, and many candidates misuse that, by pretending to be a direct relation of a staff member.

So be aware of such activities!

What are the perks of doing MD in emergency medicine from AIIMS Delhi?

OR
Ojas Reddy Posted On : June 5th, 2023
Studies at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (2024)

There are several benefits to pursuing an MD in Emergency Medicine from AIIMS Delhi, which is considered one of the leading medical institutions in the country. Some of these benefits include:

  • Exposure to a diverse patient population: AIIMS Delhi is a tertiary care center that receives patients from all over the country and abroad, providing students with a wide range of clinical experience.
  • Renowned faculty: The faculty at AIIMS Delhi are highly qualified and experienced, and are recognized leaders in their field. This means that students will receive a high-quality education and have access to top-notch mentors.
  • Cutting-edge technology: AIIMS Delhi is equipped with the latest medical technology, which allows students to learn and work with the most advanced equipment.
  • Research opportunities: AIIMS Delhi is a research-intensive institution, and students can participate in ongoing research projects. This can provide valuable experience and help students develop a research focus.
  • Reputation: AIIMS Delhi is a well-respected institution, and an MD from AIIMS Delhi can be highly valuable for career prospects.

Overall, EM is a very interesting branch that requires excellent thinking skills. Many students are attracted to this field but the bitter reality is that this field is yet to make its place in India.

Although AIIMS has trauma cases as well, the overall exposure and opportunities are less. The job prospects are bleak and you won't ever be able to have your own private clinic. Moreover, anyone, even an anesthesiologist or an MD medicine or a DM critical care can replace you. I recommend you go for anesthesia rather than EM as the former has more opportunities and guarantees a bright future.

Which is better, IITM or IIT Delhi?

AS
Aditi Sengupta Posted On : April 3rd, 2023
Studied at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras

Not only do I claim IIT Madras to be better than IIT Delhi but so do the NIRF rankings every year. Some unique aspects of the institute that set it apart from IIT Delhi are

  • Campus: IIT Delhi has a beautiful campus and an unusual sight one can witness is blackbucks, deer, and monkeys roaming around freely on one side, and the Phoenix Market City just 1 km from the campus on the other side. This gives the feeling of being situated in a forest but a city at the same time.
  • Research Park: This again is a unique feature wherein future entrepreneurs get assistance and startups are given birth to here. It has ties with many major corporations like Bharat Heavy Electricals, Saint-Gobain, Forbes Marshall, and Ather Energy.
  • Center of Innovation: This is the research center wherein students transform their ideas into reality. This center provides a challenging environment for geniuses and many tech clubs like Aero Club, iBot Club, and Industry Consultancy Team work under this center.
  • Diversity: IIT Madras welcomes a diverse student body from all parts of the country and rich cultural blends add to the overall learning experience.
  • Shaastra and Sarang: Shastra is the ISO-certified annual technical festival whereas Sarang is the annual social and cultural festival completely organized by the students.
  • Hostel: The hostel and mess facilities are pretty good and students are given a comfortable environment conducive to learning.
  • Facilities: Some additional facilities include Open Air Theatre, Central Library, Swimming pool, Chemplast Cricket Ground, Manohar C Watsa Stadium, and many eateries inside the campus.
  • Location: Lastly, its location plays a big role in making it the most preferred IIT.

All these factors strongly influence my opinion and thus IIT Madras fairs better than IIT Delhi for me.

What's preferable between KGMU, Lucknow and AIIMS Patna (taking rural service bond into consideration)?

PC
Pradeep Chowdhuri Posted On : June 5th, 2023
Lives in Patna

KGMU was established as early as 1905 while AIIMS Patna was established recently in 202. So the former seems to be more experienced with better opportunities and senior faculties. Let's look at these institutes one to one for a better understanding.

KGMC is one of the prominent colleges in north India and is preferred to many colleges in Delhi. The students here are called georgians

KGMC

  • The clinical exposure offered here is unmatched and it produces many skilled doctors.
  • It enjoys a central location of being in the capital city of UP.
  • KGMC has an extensive alumni base that has made significant contributions to society.
  • The 2 major flaws of KGMC are its huge batch size and the bond after MBBS.
  • KGMU has 50% reservation in PG in the state quota.
  • It receives the maximum number of serious cases of North East India
  • The institute boasts excellent infrastructure.
  • Despite it being old, it is equipped with maximum medical instruments and is well-maintained.

AIIMS Patna

  • It's far off from the main city and thus its location might be disadvantageous to some.
  • It's relatively new and thus lacks good alumni.
  • AIIMS Patna has many better and high-quality hostel and mess facilities that aren't available in KGMC.
  • The quality of education offered at AIIMS Patna is top notch
  • The student body is more diverse, as the seats are filled from AIQ 100%.
  • It also focuses on extracurricular in addition to the excellent academic environment and students are given a chance to explore their passions and develop as a whole.
  • No 50% reservation for PG here

All in all, considering the AIIMS tag and the fast-paced growth the institute has witnessed, AIIMS Patna is the best choice for you.

Should I prefer IIT Kanpur for electrical or BITS Pilani for a CS?

AT
Ayushi Tiwari Posted On : April 20th, 2023
IIT Kanpur (2019)

Both IIT Kanpur Electrical and BITS Pilani CS are excellent choices yet, if I had to choose one, I would have opted for BITS Pilani CS. Here’s why,

  • It’s not a brainer that a CS branch will fetch you more opportunities in terms of packages and exposure. It has become one of the most demanded branches and has numerous opportunities for everyone. The workload is also less sparing you more time to explore your area of interest.
  • BITS has been given the IoE status making its tag superior in terms of a brand name to IIT Kanpur.
  • There are no compulsory attendance rules making it easy for students to leave classes that they find irrelevant and do something productive during that time.
  • The accommodation facilities at BITS Pilani are better than IIT Kanpur and students get to have their own room starting from the second year itself. You don’t have to wait for the final year like IITs to get a single room.
  • IIT Kanpur's fees are around 8-9 Lakhs whereas that of BITS Pilani are around 19-20 Lakhs. This might be a problem for the financially weak strata. However, BITS Pilani offers many scholarships and you also get a high-paying job much more easily.

Which is best -MBA in finance from ISB Hyderabad or top IIMS A/B/C??

PS
Prakriti Sharma Posted On : January 30th, 2023
PGP from Indian School of Business (Graduated 2019)

ISB Hyderabad is known for its lack of specialization in Finance. It’s a common understanding now that even if one is preferring ISB Hyderabad for admission, they know that they should go for anything but Finance. Studying some aspects will give you a deeper insight as to why MBA in Finance from ISB Hyderabad is not recommended.

Faculty: Although the visiting faculty is quite decent, it’s the domestic faculty that has ruined the culture at ISB. They are arrogant, pathetic, and extremely incapable. They insult the students regularly and disturb student-teacher relations.

Placements: The roles offered in Finance were below average like Operations, Sales, and BD roles. Such roles were offered in abundance by the banks or start-ups. However, the superior roles like IB/PE/VC/M&A/FP&A/Equity Research/Credit Rating/Asset Management/TAS were offered scarcely. For instance

  • only 10 FP and A roles were allotted that too only to CAs
  • Only one Investment banking role was offered by Barclays
  • Only 5 PE/bc roles were offered and there was a strong preference for a prior IB/PE/VC experience and IIT undergraduate background.
  • One M and A role was offered only
  • 4 Asset Management and zero Equity Research and Credit Rating roles were offered.

So the best roles were offered limitedly while the batch size stood at 900. Most students ended up with unsatisfactory placements. Now you can decide whether or not to join if you are confident to face the placement scenario.
