While the selection process for admission to IIM Indore and IIM Shillong varies from year to year and depends on various factors such as the number of applicants, the quality of the applicant pool, and the cut-offs set by the institutes.
It is generally considered challenging to secure admission to these institutes with a 92 percentile in the Common Admission Test (CAT) as a general category student. But if you are from the EWS category then it is not that difficult. Also, the CAT percentile is just one of the criteria that are considered for admission to IIMs, institutes also take into account several other factors such as academic performance, work experience (if any), and performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
If you have a strong academic record, try and perform well in the WAT-PI, and if you are able to demonstrate your potential for academic excellence and leadership, then you have a good chance of securing admission to IIM Indore or IIM Shillong.
You have not specified your category, I will try to mention most of them and you can check your eligibility accordingly.
The examination paper has been tougher than the previous years. A 300 in UPTU means a rank ranging from 16001-25000. You can refer to this table and see which one fits your profile.

There are chances that you might get in if you fit a certain category. Also, your rank might get CS in any other government college except for IET Lucknow but if you are from the SC category, there might be a chance. Getting admission for core subjects might be harder.
It would be a bit difficult to get listed in both the colleges, but in college-level counseling, there is still a 50% chance. A friend of mine got admission to the EI branch at IET DAVV with a rank of AIR 1,60,000 (general category) through CLC.
You might get branches like EI, Biomedical, etc. You can get these branches in college-level counseling or even in the second round. But it’s risky. If you fail to get in, you may have to drop a year. My friend got lucky with the seat. I will only recommend going for it, if you are willing to drop a year or have other alternatives.
Yes, both IIM Ranchi as well as IIM Raipur consider sectional cutoffs for admissions. You can find the exact figures on their official website under the program you are looking for. I have mentioned the cutoff for the PGDM program.

With a score of 184 in NMAT, you have a decent chance of getting admission to NMIMS Mumbai, but as the cut-off for ISB Hyderabad is usually higher than that of NMIMS, so your chances of admission to ISB may be lower than NMIMS Mumbai.
That being said, the admission process for both NMIMS and ISB is holistic and takes into consideration several factors other than just NMAT scores, such as academic performance, work experience, extracurricular activities, and performance in the interview and/or written exam.
Therefore, it is difficult to predict your chances of admission without considering your overall profile.
I would recommend that you consult the official websites and keep checking the Collegedunia articles to get a better understanding of their admission processes and criteria. You may also consider speaking to current students or alumni of these institutes to get insights into their experience and advice on the admission process.
For admission in NITIE Mumbai CAT examination scores are considered. The cutoff varies for every year and also according to courses. For the IM course, the cutoff is near about 98 percentile overall and 92 percentile for sectional. For the past few years, the average general cutoff was around 96 percentile and near about 85 percentile for OBC in the PGDIM Course - Main course
For the ISEM, the overall cutoff is around 93 percentile and the sectional will be around 76 percentile.
The overall cutoff for NMIMS Bangalore and Hyderabad is 190 for getting shortlisted for CD and PI. Sectional cutoffs are as follows: QS-60, LS-50, and LR-50.
Considering your UPSEE rank in the girl category, I think you should get easily in KNIT Sultanpur. Mostly even a seat in IET Lucknow is possible.
The girls above your rank must be trying multiple other entrance exams as well and there is a maximum possibility that half of them will go to IITs or NITs. Your rank is very good and girls above you are more capable on average.
UPSEE Cutoff Round (General Category) –
| Courses | KNIT Sultanpur | IET Lucknow |
| B. Tech in Electronics Engineering | 1862 to 2440 | 508 to 784 |
| B. Tech in Electrical Engineering | 2258 to 2950 | 835 to 1132 |
Don't worry I think you should get one among the mentioned seats. Good luck!
A friend of mine graduated from FYBMS Wilson College, a few years back. According to him, the required cutoff stays around 92-93% forthe first merit list. The cutoff decreases for the subsequent lists. The last list’s cutoff stays around 82-85%. You should try to score above 85% to stay in the safe side.
It’s difficult to predict the actual marks you need to score to get into CMC Ludhiana because the institute is minority-based and hardly has any seats for the open category. The cutoff for the previous year for various categories is
|
General |
351 |
|
OBC |
572 |
|
SC |
547 |
To stay on the safer side, try to score 600 marks in the NEET Phase 1 to get admission to CMC Ludhiana.
