Is Sweden a good place to study abroad?
Sweden is indeed one of the best study abroad destinations in the world which is globally renowned for its high quality education system. Also, many universities in Sweden are ranked among the top 100 globally.
I have a choice between IT (Information Technology) in NIT, Surathkal and CS (computer science) in RVCE, Bangalore. Which one would be a better choice in terms of placements, Brand name etc.?
I would like to highlight a few points in favor of choosing IT at NIT Surathkal-
- IT and CSE have more or less the same curriculum.
- NITK offers excellent placements. This is especially true for circuital branches- CSE, IT, ECE and EEE. Top students from these branches are offered placements at brands like Google and Microsoft.
- NITK is a brand in itself. Since it is an NIT, it offers much more exposure and opportunities.
- NITK admits JEE Mains toppers from all across the country. So it has a very rich crowd.
- As a Bangalorean, you can frequently visit home from NITK.
- As a hosteller at NITK, you’ll learn important life skills.
Thus, based on these factors, I would recommend you choose IT at NIT Surathkal over CS at RVCE Bangalore.

Campus: Parul University has a really good campus that is equipped with every kind of facility you need for a great learning experience. You get well-equipped labs and a library. Even the hostels provided to students are great with 24-hour water, electricity, and Wi-Fi facilities.
Faculty: The teachers are quite cooperative. Necessary emphasis is given on soft skills development complementing the regular academic programs.

What is the daily routine of an IIM Indore IPM student?
There is no fixed routine for an IPM student at IIM Indore. It will vary from person to person. Mostly you will have 4 classes in a day on average starting from 10:15 AM and going on till 4:15 PM.
Some days you may have no class and someday you may have 6 classes. But 4 classes in a day is pretty common.
Apart from the academics, you will have other commitments such as group projects, live projects, research studies, worrying about internships, clubs and committee works as well as fests, hangouts with friends and many more.
You will get to sleep 10 hours a day sometimes and on other days you will hardly get 2 hours of sleep in a day. On average, the day of an IPM student starts at around 8 AM or 9 AM and goes on till 2 AM or 3 AM at the midnight.
Is studying ECE at NIT Trichy better than studying ECE at CEG?
I have a few friends from both NIT Trichy and CEG and here is what I gathered from my conversations with them.
- In terms of ranking, NIT Trichy is placed higher than CEG. This is because NIT admits students based on JEE Mains ranking and CEG admits students based on board marks.
- In terms of placements, NIT Trichy would be way ahead of CEG. The college enjoys a better reputation and big firms come for placements.
- For ECE, then recruiting companies visiting the on-campus placements at NIT Trichy are Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, SanDisk, Nvidia, etc. The average CTC offered is 6 LPA.
- You can also go for higher education if you have a good GPA and great projects.
- The faculty team is overall good. A few of them are extremely knowledgeable and conduct high-quality research. In terms of facilities, NIT Trichy has an edge over CEG.
- Since CEG is in Chennai, there are other sources of enjoyment but NIT Trichy is 20 km away from Trichy.
Overall, NIT Trichy will be a better choice than CEG.
How much time does Kurukshetra University give a migration certificate?
Sharing first-hand experience of getting a migration certificate for my sister. To get the migration certificate you just do the following:
- Fill the Migration form available on the website or take it from a shop near the Examination wing-II, in KU, available for INR 10.
- Fill the form and attach your last Degree or DMC pursued.
- Attach an ID proof as well with a fee of INR 680
- Deposit the fee at an online fee payment centre near the Admin block, with a Debit card only.
Try doing all this before lunch, 13:00 p.m. Afterwards, go to Room no.106, on the ground floor of Examination wing-II, and submit the form. They will give you your migration certificate, right there in 2–3 hours.
How is the M.Tech electrical placement at BITS Pilani?
BITS Pilani offers decent placement support to students from the M.Tech. and B.Tech. batches. The chances are higher for the one who has a master’s in Mechanical Engineering. BITS Pilani conducts the placement process in two semesters. During the first semester, about 15-20 companies, including Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, SanDisk, Nvidia, Cisco, and so on, visit the campus. In the second semester, the placement is done based on your CGPA, as the companies mostly prefer students who score a CGPA above 8.
How do IIIT Delhi and BITS Pilani compare?
The final decision should be solely based on your interest in the core subject. Here is a detailed comparison of both IIT Delhi and BITS Pilani
Brand Value – Today, IIT has more brand value than BITS since it is one of the most rapidly advancing institutes in India. But there was a time when BITS was considered the top brand, and as time passed, the interest and perspectives of the students also changed.
Curriculum – IIT Delhi has the most updated curriculum structure, which is absent at BITS Pilani. If you are into the software field, IIT Delhi would be a better choice; they gave you the opportunity to explore Python, Java, and Linux in the first year itself.
Location – IIT Delhi is situated in the center of the city, which is far better than the location of BITS Pilani, which is situated in a remote area
Infrastructure – BITS Pilani is one of the oldest institutes in India, so they lack good infrastructure. Meanwhile, IIT Delhi has air-conditioned classrooms, projectors, and well-equipped research labs.
Campus Life and Hostel Life – BITS Pilani offers a more social life to the students than IIT Delhi. Life inside the campus and hostel is extremely beautiful at BITS Pilani
Will I get IIM A 100 percentile?
Firstly, it’s important to note that there are 2 types of CAT cutoffs for IIM admission: qualifying cutoff and final cutoff
Admission to IIMs or in fact any top B School requires the minimum CAT 2023 cutoff is expected to be the 90 percentile. A 99+ CAT percentile makes you eligible to apply for top IIMs like IIM Bangalore, IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Lucknow, IIM Calcutta, and IIM Kozhikode. In fact, a 98+ in the CAT percentile guarantees a call from these Iimss.
Some top IIMs that sends calls to 98+ score are
- IIM Lucknow

- IIM Ahmedabad
- IIM Calcutta
- IIM Shillong
- IIM Indore
However, a very important point to consider is that these IIMs include other parameters for final selection. Usually, maximum weightage is given to CAT followed by academic profile, work experience, and gender diversity. So, a CAT score does not necessarily guarantee admission to IIM Ahmedabad.
For instance, a candidate with 100 percentile but no work experience might not get admission while a candidate with 95 percentile but excellent work experience might get admission to IIM Ahmedabad. So all factors should be considered and not just the CAT score.
