Which college is better: NIT Jamshedpur or NIT Durgapur?
NIT Jamshedpur is better than NIT Durgapur. The placement drive at NIT Jamshedpur says it all. The average CTC of INR 14.72 LPA while the highest CTC was recorded to be 72.5 LPA. Compared to 2021, a total placement percentage of 97.2%, with 850+ offers overall is achieved by NIT Jamshedpur this year.
As per NIRF Rankings, NIT Durgapur is ahead of NIT Jamshedpur but it is still better in terms of core branches. With an aggressive placement cell, NITJ has set a record.
Which is the best course in IMT Ghaziabad?

Can I get into Manipal Institute of Technology?
Manipal Institute of Technology offers various UG and PG courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, and M.C.A. under various specializations. B.Tech CSE is the flagship course of the institute.
Admissions are offered through MET counseling. Seats are allocated on the basis of MET scores, availability of seats, category, and other factors. For admission to the MTech course, one needs to clear GATE or MET scores, while M.C.A. admissions are based on the merit list released by the institute.
Here is the step-wise eligibility and selection process that will help you decide if you are eligible for MIT or not
- You should have passed 10+2
- You should have studied Physics, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects and one of Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry or any vocational subject as optional.
- The vocational subject must be related to either the chemical, civil, computer, electrical, or mechanical streams.
- You should have scored 50% marks.
- You should have taken the MET for selection
- If qualified the MET will have to go for MET counselling.
- Selections will be made after 5 rounds of counseling
Other option for admission to MIT includes the NRI quota. To avail this, you should have stayed or your parent must be working there. You don't have to give the entrance exam but the fees charged through this mode are extremely high. It does not offer the management quota so the quality of the crowd is not sacrificed.
How is IIIT Sri City for CSE?
IIIT Sri City is a great option for a CSE degree. The curriculum and course stricture is excellent. Unlike most technical colleges, you will learn the core subjects, from the very beginning. Computer science department boasts of a brilliant faculty base. You will receive the necessary guidance and support from the professors.
Major industry giants such as Microsoft, Amazon, Intel, etc. take part in IIIT Sri City placements. The average CTC for CSE is INR 12 LPA.
Is IIT Hyderabad better than NIT Rourkela?
IIT Hyderabad clearly triumphs over NIT Rourkela because of a number of reasons. Some of the string ones have been stated below
- The research culture at IITs cannot be matched to that of NITs yet. IITs receive huge funds in the range of 5–10 crores, whereas NIT’s average range of research projects is only 10–50 lakhs.
- IIT Hyderabad is a recently established IIT so the infrastructure is new and the hostels are designed using the French design.
- IIT Hyderabad has modern equipment and technologies in all academic blocks and all hostel blocks.
- IIT Hyderabad has strong ties with international universities, especially in Japan and Australia. The students get better exposure and internship opportunities.

So, IIT Hyderabad is clearly a better option than NIT Rourkela in terms of everything, education, opportunities, and infrastructure.
How is NIT Agartala CSE? Why is it so underrated?
One of my cousins recently completed his BTech in CSE from NIT Agartala so I have a slight idea about the branch. Many big brands as well as startups visit the campus to recruit students. Students receive internship opportunities both in and outside India. Moreover, many projects were published at conferences in the areas of Machine learning and Natural Language Processing.
NIT Agartala CSE has churned out many successful engineers. Now coming to your question, the reason NIT Agartala is underrated is because of a lack of communication and a preconceived notion that a North-east NIT wouldn't be good enough. The truth is it’s CSE department is facilitated really well and the labs are equipped with modern instruments. The crowd is also very diverse and the overall learning experience is unmatched.
So, it’s better not to degrade any institute based on false notions.
What are the humanities courses that one should do at IIT Delhi?
Usually, two types of people opt for humanities courses. One prefers a laid-back schedule and easy grading while the other prefers challenging coursework and exciting lectures. My friend was kind to opt for a more lively course than spend his classes yawning away. He chose some courses like
- Mind, Machines, and Language
- Language and Communication
- Creative Writing
Another extremely learned professor taught him Science, Society, and Technology. No doubt the course was very rigorous and demanding, but my friend enjoyed the course anyways. There were deep discussions, readings, and assignments which sometimes seemed too hectic, yet the entire process was intriguing and exciting at the same time.
Another course my friend opted for was Moral Literacy and Moral Choices which taught him concepts of Philosophy that none knew about. The course was very interesting. He talked about various thinkers and their philosophical teachings which transformed the students into another world.
All the humanities courses offered at IIT Delhi are intriguing and the parity of professors cannot be doubted. Go for any course that sparks a ray of interest in you!
Should I go to LPU (Lovely Professional University) or Manipal University Jaipur for a B.Tech (IT)?
As a former student of B.Tech IT at LPU, I can only provide information about my own college. Here are a few benefits of joining LPU for your B.Tech IT-
- Scholarships - LPU offers scholarships to those who perform well in 12th grade or various entrance exams. These scholarships continue for the entire B.Tech course. This brings down the course fee for meritorious students by a great extent.
- Placements- The university performs quite well in IT placements. Companies like HTC and Cognizant visit the campus for mass recruitments, and offer decent salary packages to CSE and IT graduates. Other companies recruit a lesser number of students, but they offer handsome salary packages. For a hardworking IT student, LPU offers good placement opportunities.
- Faculty- The IT faculty is decent, and some of the teachers are very good.
- Exposure- LPU is home to students from various parts of the country, and thus, it offers excellent exposure. Each student gets a platform at LPU to enhance their skills and learn new things.
