What are the cutoff ranks for data science in NMIMS MPSTME?

SG
Sarika Gupta Posted On : July 9th, 2021
Studied at University of Mumbai (2019)

One of my friends graduated from NMIMS. I gathered some information from him as being a student there he would have a better idea about the cut-off ranks.

Data Science is a fairly new branch introduced in MPSTME, hence predicting its cut-offs would be difficult. Its popularity is increasing every day and demand for data scientists is also increasing. A rank above 1000 would give you a confirmed seat in Data Science while beyond that, there are high chances for you to get the seat in the up-gradation rounds.

What marks are required to get into AIIMS Delhi in the NEET UG 2023?

VM
Vedant Mishra Posted On : June 5th, 2023
MBBS from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi

Being the dream college for all medical students, AIIMS Delhi has a strict admission process as it only filters the best into the college. As a result, the cutoffs are higher than other medical colleges and it’s difficult to secure a seat irrespective of the category you belong to. There is tough competition between the aspirants and the acceptance rate is low.

Admission to AIIMS institutes is solely based on NEET scores. Those who clear the required cutoff are eligible for the admission process. Based on the recently concluded exam, the expected NEET cut-off of various categories for AIIMS MBBS admission is as follows

AIIMS Delhi cutoff 2023

Category

NEET 2023 Cut off Percentile

NEET 2023 Cut off Marks (Expected)

General/EWS

50

720-130

OBC/SC/ST

40

129-104

OBC/ SC/ ST – PwD

40

114-95

General/ EWS- PwD

45

129-115

If you are a general student, you need to score at least 50 percentile in NEET-UG to get admission into AIIMS Delhi.

IIM Indore conducts an entrance exam called IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) each year for its integrated management program. It is a combination of BBA and MBA.

You have to appear for the exam after your 12th. It is an aptitude test and will test your application skills in quant, verbal and logical reasoning. For applying you need to have a minimum of 60 percentile in 10th and 12th examinations.

The cutoff depends on the difficulty level of the exam. The section-wise cut-offs are released by the institute. You need to clear the section-wise cutoffs too in order to be selected.

With a 7,931 rank in CUSAT CAT, will I get an admission in SOE, CUSAT or IT branch?

AD
Anwita Dhar Posted On : February 19th, 2021
B.Tech Instrumentation Engineering & CAT, Cochin University Of Science and Technology (2017)

With a rank of 7,931 in CUSAT CAT, getting admission to the School of Engineering at CUSAT is pretty slim. Almost equal to null. Try other colleges. Although you may get admission through the NRI Spot round.

The required cutoff for 2021 for the different branches including IT is given below.

Branches

Cutoff

BTech Naval Architecture & Ship Building

510

BTech Polymer Science & Technology

4575

BTech in Instrumentation Engineering

6011

BTechComputer Science & Engineering

1030

BTech Electronics & Communication Engineering

2241

BTech Safety & Fire Engineering

1217

BTech Electrical & Electronics Engineering

2002

BTech Civil Engineering

2727

BTech Mechanical Engineering

1499

BTech Information Technology

3991

In certain years, the cutoff for IT reached 10000, so it depends. You may secure a seat in spot admission. Although you will need to opt for reserved seats. You can get EC, ECE on the second campus, i.e. CUCEK. But you will have to wait till the end of the entire counseling round.

Will I get into NLU Delhi with a score of 74.25 in the AILET 2021?

CD
Chetna Dagar Posted On : September 13th, 2021
Studied Bachelor of Business Administration,Jamia Millia Islamia (2022)

It basically depends on two factors which are as follows:

  1. What toppers have scored: A total of 60 seats are available for General candidates at NLU Delhi. You'll need to climb into the top 100. The rankings are determined by how much each person has scored. Top rankers tend to score around 110–120, with 95–105 being the cut-off. Based on previous results, you need at least 95 points to pass the cut-off.
  2. Your category: If you belong to other minority categories, then the cut-off will be lower for SC, ST, OBC, Kashmiri migrants, and PWDs. You will be easily admitted.

However, the cut-off range mostly depends on the marks scored by the toppers.

How much do I score in engineering to get in IIM Ahmedabad?

SM
Sonal Mishra Posted On : July 7th, 2023
studied at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad

There is no fixed GPA that can guarantee your selection into IIM Ahmedabad as an engineering student. Every institute however specifies a minimum percentage of graduation score that you have to achieve to be eligible for admission. For IIMs, the minimum percentage required lies in the range of 50 – 60 percent. Remember, the higher your graduation score is the more chances of your admission.

Assuming you are a general category student, the bachelor cut-off is mentioned in the table below:

AC-1

68.92

AC-2

83.37

AC-3

84.5

AC-4

79.95

The UG score is an important criterion in the selection for PI and final shortlisting. However, these marks constitute only a tiny component of the overall criteria, so rather than focusing on graduation score, it's recommended that you prioritize CAT and WAT-GDPI preparation.

What is the usual percentile range scored by the last admit in the HRM program of XLRI, Jamshedpur?

IC
Indrani Chatterjee Posted On : April 26th, 2023
PGDM from Xavier School of Management (2018)

For the Human Resource Management program, the overall cut-off for male engineering applicants is 93 percentile, while it is 91 percentile for female engineering students.

Male applicants with non-engineering backgrounds must have a 90 percentile, while female applicants with non-engineering backgrounds must have an 88 percentile. It's possible that even with a high percentile, you might not be chosen if you have a poor interview performance.

While it's helpful to have some sense of scale, I'd advise shooting for the stars and ignoring percentiles for the time being.
