NIT Uttarakhand is one of the 31 NITs in India. They have highly educated faculty members, among them 51 are assistant professors and 18 are trainee teachers.
UIET Chandigarh (PU) is a government institution which has collaborations with many research industries for the benefit of the emerging student population.

According to the placement records NIT Uttarakhand will be a better option than UIET Chandigarh, be it CSE or EEE. Both CSE and EEE are very much in demand due to the rapidly growing corporate sector and the growing demand for Power Engineers and Telecommunication Engineers.
My friend from school used to be a student of MAIT and he is of the opinion that the campus and the life it promises are much better than those of BVCOE.
The faculty of MAIT is lenient and the students get ample freedom. However, the same cannot be said for BVCOE. The latter institute also falls short when it comes to the crowd in both institutes.
Speaking of academics, both MAIT and BVCOE are more or less on an equal footing.
Coming to the second shift, now, as far it is concerned, it is suggested to take the timings and the distance between your home and the college into consideration.
My friend chose the first shift because you will be able to get off earlier.
I have a friend studying at IET Lucknow from the Civil branch. I will not be able to tell you about HBTI but I can guide you in the case of IET.
The following table shows the placement statistics of both institutions:
| Particulars | IET (Mechanical) | HBTI (Civil) |
| Placement percent | 30% | 45% |
| Highest salary | INR 11 LPA | INR 9 LPA |
| Average salary | INR 7 LPA | INR 7 LPA |
| Top recruiters | Tata, Hero, Naini Papers | Hindalco cement, Ambuja cement, LnT |
Being from IET is also not bad, though not comparable to being from Harcourt.
One of my acquaintances who has graduated from VNIT has asked me to choose my institute by keeping the following points in mind.
IT has a lot of scopes. Later down the road, if you want to continue with your higher studies, you will be capable of switching to almost any department pertaining to computers. IT from NIT Raipur is an excellent choice.
The scope in the metallurgy sector is limited nowadays. It is obviously your call, though. There is vast scope in IT like research, job, etc.
Both TAPMI and KJ SOMAIYA are at par when comparing marketing curriculum and faculty, but overall TAPMI is slightly better when comparing the highest, median and mean packages and placements.
Below is a table showing the fees, highest salary package, and average salary package;
|
Institute |
Fees (approx.) |
Highest Salary Package (approx.) |
Average Salary Package (approx.) |
|
TAPMI |
Rs. 16.25 lakhs |
INR 22.3 LPA |
INR 15.7 LPA |
|
KJ Somaiya |
Rs. 19.18 lakhs |
INR 22.50 LPA |
INR 12.28 LPA |
This is overall data though. TAPMI has better RoI between the two, but the decision is ultimately yours which will depend on your goals, preferences, and any constraints you have.
Vardhaman College of Engineering is a better option as compared to Sreenidhi. There are a few reasons for this.
Lastly, as a student, there is better peer-to-peer interaction at Vardhaman College of Engineering. Eventually, it boils down to your choices as a student and what you are looking for in your college.
My brother is an alumnus of IET Lucknow and was able to shed some light on the differences between IET Lucknow and KNIT.
If you are in KNIT, you would have to travel to Lucknow or Allahabad for any placement drives or tests, as most firms or companies will not travel to the college in a rural area for placement drives.
The better college between NIT Kurukshetra and PEC Chandigarh depends on a lot of factors like the overall environment of the college, staff, facilities, location, placement, etc Both the colleges have their unique pros and cons. For instance, NIT has the upper hand in terms of research and infrastructure while PEC wins in terms of placements.
Here is a brief comparison of the institutes

Overall, PEC has managed to maintain a good reputation and placements without any NIT tag and also has a rich legacy so I believe it’s a better option than NIT Kurukshetra
Having friends in these institutions, I am well aware that HBTU Kanpur is much better than IIIT Bhopal and IET Lucknow. Though one thing has been seen that the performance of the CSE department is generally the same in all the colleges. They all provide enough industry exposure to the students.

It is advised to join HBTU Kanpur or IET Lucknow than IIIT Bhopal, as the former are an older establishment than the latter which is comparatively new. Classes at IIIT Bhopal are scheduled according to MANIT Bhopal. Also the students are provided RGPV hostels. So it will be better if you go for HBTU.
One of my friends studied at IIIT Bhopal. He said that pursuing engineering from IIIT Bhopal will prove to be better than IET DAVV. Here are some reasons as to why:
The better option would be IIIT Bhopal without a doubt. However, IET DAVV is also good. But it ultimately is your choice and what you want to pursue.
| Particulars | IET DAVV | IIIT Bhopal |
| Total fees | 4.12 Lakhs | 7.2 Lakhs |
