Which is better SRM Vadapalani or JUET Guna?

SA
Sakshi Agarwal Posted On : July 26th, 2021
Investment Banking Associate (2017-present)

SRM Vadapalani is any day better than JUET Guna. After discussing with some students of these colleges, I can say that, even though JUET has an amazing placement record and infrastructure, SRM has a bigger brand value than the Jaypee group.

  • SRM has highly qualified faculties with few of them having prior industrial experiences. They strive to keep the environment of SRM highly competitive.
  • You will definitely get a better crowd at SRM where there is a high level of peer-to-peer learning when compared to JUET.
  • Placement statistics of SRM speak for themselves.
  • Even in location, academic curriculum, and campus infrastructure wise SRM leads the list.
  • The only factor that favors JUET Guna is if you don't prefer to study down south on SRM main campus.
  • In that case, you can still opt for CSE at JUET which has a decent placement. The average CTC there stands at 11 LPA. But it's not the same in the case of other branches.
Categories SRM Vadapalani JUET Guna
Course Fee 9.1 lakhs 7.28 lakhs
Highest CTC 28 LPA 20 LPA
Average CTC 10-12 LPA 9 LPA
Recruiting Companies TCS, Google, IBM, Wipro, etc. Infosys, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra, HCL, etc.

To sum up, SRM must be your first preference among the two. It offers you a better opportunity, exposure, and placements. The quality of teaching is amazing. Overall SRM gives you a better ROI for the fee you pay.

Which is better given I am more interested in programming, a CSE at IIIT Guwahati, an ECE at NIT Agartala, or an ME at NIT Silchar?

PB
Prakriti Basu Posted On : June 28th, 2021
Studied at Calcutta University (2018)

The short answer is CSE at IIIT Guwahati. If you are primarily interested in programming and coding culture, CSE at IIIT Guwahati is the best choice. However, if you are strongly passionate about any branch then college must not make a huge difference.

I have friends studying in all of these colleges and honestly, they do differ according to their ranking and branch. But if you are keen on CSE then such factors become secondary.

Nevertheless, here are some things you must know before choosing.

  • ME at NIT Silchar is also a great option if mechanical engineering is your passion. It has a better ranking among all these options.
  • IIIT Guwahati has a great potential of growing to significant heights in the next few years. That’s why CSE at IIIT Guwahati is the best bet for now if you are keen on programming.
  • ECE at NIT Agartala cannot surpass any of the above options because neither the ranking is better nor the branch.

5.5 - 5.6 LPA

Recruiting Companies

Overall, IIIT Guwahati stands as the foremost priority if CSE is your choice. On the other hand, if you are still confused about the branch then go with ME at NIT Silchar without a doubt. Avoid ECE at NIT Agartala as the other two options are much better in terms of everything.

What is the better option for an MBA, Symbiosis Nagpur or IMT Nagpur?

DS
Darshan Sethi Posted On : June 11th, 2023
Lives in Nagpur

It depends on your personal career goal and aspiration. If you want to take Marketing as a major, then I would suggest preferring IMT Nagpur because IMT as a whole is known for its marketing program. IMT Nagpur has a lower fee in comparison to Symbiosis Nagpur.

SIBM Nagpur has a strong placement record with an average package of INR 19.5 LPA being offered to the top 10% of the batch. The IT/ITES sector emerged as the top sector for placements, with 19.4% of students being placed in this field. The 2022 placement drive included reputed companies such as Genpact, Paytm, Tata AIG, and Reliance, indicating that SIBM Nagpur has established relationships with leading recruiters.

if you are interested in pursuing MBA in IT and analytics, or if you value the reputation of the institution as a whole, then Symbiosis Nagpur may be a better fit for you.

Ultimately, it's important to do your own research and consider all the factors that are important to you, such as program offerings, faculty expertise, location, overall cost, and overall reputation.

Which is a better option: mechanical at PEC Chandigarh or electronics and comm. at NIT Delhi?

SS
Sulagna Saha Posted On : January 12th, 2021
Studied Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial and Production Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Delhi (2019)

Among the two, Mechanical at PEC Chandigarh would be a better choice. PEC being an old and highly recognized institute whereas NIT Delhi is comparatively a newer establishment.

Placement (Winning Institute- PEC Chandigarh)

  • PEC has a progressive atmosphere for core branches like mechanical. The faculties help in placement training and creative experimental works.
  • The top recruiting companies include Alstom, Volvo, Fiat, L&T, Indian Oil, etc.
  • Although ECE is a stream of greater demand as both core Electronics and IT companies recruit ECE graduates. NIT Delhi, being a recently established institute has a lower average CTC offered to its students than Mechanical at PEC Chandigarh.

The table below states the basic overview of the required departments from the two institutes.

Particulars

Mechanical at PEC Chandigarh

Electronics and Communication at NIT Delhi

NIRF ’20 Rank

251-300

Total Fees

?4.16 Lakh

?6.05 Lakh

Median Salary

?7 Lakh per annum

?6.05 Lakh per annum

JEE Main Cut off

33005

14795

Total Seats

60

Opportunities

  • After completing Mechanical at PEC, students can opt for a Masters in Design which serves a purpose of Architectural discipline and great demand.

Campus

  • PEC Chandigarh has a better campus and infrastructure than NIT Delhi.
  • Co-curricular activities like fests, sports, events, etc. take place on a larger scale in PEC Chandigarh, being a more popular institute.

The comparison between Electronics and Communication at NIT Delhi and Mechanical at PEC Chandigarh is entirely dependent on what the candidate wants, both being completely different streams. But PEC still stands a step ahead, being a more reputed institution.

Which is better for a B.tech in EEE: LNCT Bhopal or BIT, Bhilai?

SM
Shivani Mishra Posted On : September 9th, 2021
B.E CSE from LNCT Bhopal (2020)

I have lived in Bhopal for the past decade, so I know a little bit about LNCT. It is basically a tier-3 engineering college.

  • It is regarded as the top engineering college in Bhopal, behind MANIT (NIT Bhopal) and possibly RGPV. It is ranked among the top 10 colleges in MP, not only in Bhopal.
  • This college has an outstanding placement record, with nearly 100% placements (or so they say). According to the 2020 placement highlights the highest CTC offered at the institute was 27 LPA.
  • Bhopal is a fantastic place to live. Life here is immensely enjoyable because of the clean atmosphere, kind people, and excellent infrastructure.
  • From an academic aspect, there are numerous coaching institutes that cater to the needs of students preparing for competitive exams such as GATE, UPSC, GRE, CAT, and a variety of others.

These are the reasons why you should choose LNCT over BIT Bhilai.
