Both IIT Tirupati and IITPalakkad are government colleges, established recently. The first batch graduated in 2019 and these fall into the new generation of IITs and are yet to be ranked under NIRF.

Facilities

IIT Tirupati and Palakkad- Both these campuses are under construction as of now and students have to stay in a transit campus. Hence, all facilities cannot be availed yet.

Faculty and Academics

IIT Tirupati

• Teachers are highly qualified and supportive. Many of them are involved with various government funded research projects going on.
• Various seminars and workshops are conducted for students. Students are also taken on industrial visits for practical exposure.

IIT Palakkad

IIT Palakkad

Both the colleges are good and offer a wide range of benefits. They are new and the first batch graduated just last year, hence placements and facilities will increase with time. The choice of college depends on every individual’s discretion, resources and vision.

VJTI Mumbai's E&TC program saw a 97% placement rate in 2019 and COEP's Department of Instrumentation and Control has a placement rate of 85% - 90% in general. Students at COEP get opportunities of working with PSUs like HPCL or BPCL. The highest package has gone up to INR 37 LPA.

Admission: Students will be considered for VJTI Admissions and COEP Admissions if they have 50-55% marks in 10+2 and graduation; and MAH-CET/GATE score, as per requirement.

Faculty

VJTI:

• There are 20 faculty members for the E & TC program including 5 members for the Diploma level and 7 for the Degree level.

COEP:

• There are 11 faculty members in the Instrumentation and Control Department; most of them have a Ph.D. from well-known national and international universities like the University of St Louis; University of Washington Seattle, IITR, etc.

Infrastructure

VJTI Mumbai:

• Under the TEQIP program, it has procured equipment for Communication, Virtual Instrumentation
• The High Voltage lab is funded by Siemens Germany and AICTE. The latest addition to its labs is the VJTI- L&T Low Voltage Switchgear Laboratory.

COEP Pune:

• There are department labs in the COEP Instrumentation department like the Johnson Control Lab, Advanced lab, etc.

Placements

VJTI:

• Most students from the E&TC department get jobs in consultancy firms, the finance sector,s and in IT companies.
• There are only a few core placements with Reliance, Airtel, etc. The major recruiters over the years have been Airtel, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, etc.
• The highest package offered in 2018 was INR 24 LPA and the average salary was 6.5 LPA.

COEP Pune:

• In 2018, the maximum package offered at COEP for instrumentation and control was INR 18 LPA and the major recruiters were Barclays and HP.

Also, 85% of seats are reserved for Maharashtra candidates at VJTI. Students must keep the above-mentioned features in mind when choosing.

Computer Science Engineering is one of the preferred domains in engineering but it’s worth is judged on the basis of the place from where you pursue it. Parul University has an impeccable record of placements while Poornima University also is one of the Top Universities of Rajasthan.

Both are private universities with a strong ranking base for flourishing the individual’s career in the respective domains. Parul University is the 2nd best Engineering college in Gujarat whereas Poornima University has a lead in terms of faculty. The detailed analysis regarding the colleges is as follows:

Admission

• Parul University provides the course is INR 4 Lakhs while Poornima University has a fee structure of INR 4.75 Lakhs.
• Poornima University also gives an option of B.Tech Lateral where the course is to be designed with respect to 4 years.

Eligibility

• The eligibility criterion stands common for both the colleges i.e. 10+2 with minimum 50% and JEE Mains score.
• The cut-off score varies according to the seats offered.

Placements

Computer science is the most preferred stream only because of its wide opportunities available in the market. The placement facts are as follows:

• Parul University has the highest package of INR 18 Lakhs while the average stands around INR 4-5 LPA.
• It holds a record of giving more than 1500 placements in 1000 companies.
• The top recruiters are TCS, Infosys, Samsung, R&D, Saint Gobain Glass.
• Poornima University has the highest package of INR 12 Lakhs while the average is around INR 3-4 LPA.
• About 38% of total placements are backed up by CS students.
• The top recruiters here are Capgemini, Pinnacle, IBM, TCS, and Genpact.

Infrastructure

Both the colleges try to provide good facilities to their respective candidates but Parul University takes a lead as it is specialized in giving:

• Different categories of labs ranging from Unix Lab, R&D Lab, Database Lab, Network Lab, and Application Lab.
• It has also set up a separate research centre known as Nvidia GPU Centre for ensuring challenging research initiatives to be explored by students.

Parul University is a little more preferable option as it gives good placement opportunities within a feasible fee structure. It also presents different kinds of aspects in front of students in the form of Facebook F8 developers conference, hackathons, and Microsoft.net technology. It can be definitely looked upon as a feasible choice.

I have lived in Bhopal for the past decade, so I know a little bit about LNCT. It is basically a tier-3 engineering college. 

• It is regarded as the top engineering college in Bhopal, behind MANIT (NIT Bhopal) and possibly RGPV. It is ranked among the top 10 colleges in MP, not only in Bhopal.
• This college has an outstanding placement record, with nearly 100% placements (or so they say). According to the 2020 placement highlights the highest CTC offered at the institute was 27 LPA. 
• Bhopal is a fantastic place to live. Life here is immensely enjoyable because of the clean atmosphere, kind people, and excellent infrastructure.
• From an academic aspect, there are numerous coaching institutes that cater to the needs of students preparing for competitive exams such as GATE, UPSC, GRE, CAT, and a variety of others.

These are the reasons why you should choose LNCT over BIT Bhilai. 

NIRF has ranked NIT Patna in 134 positions while the IIITDM Jabalpur is in 81 positions. NIT Patna is highly popular than the IIITDM Jabalpur. IIITDM Jabalpur

• The college admits students based on the performance in JEE Mains and intermediate.
• The minimum cut-off for the mechanical engineering course is 20,835 to 33,875.

• The fee is 1.66 lakhs. However, students can avail of scholarships and fee waivers in the second year.
• The total number of seats is 48. Out of which, 14 seats are for females only.

Placements:

IIITDM Jabalpur

• Usually, more than 100 companies visit the college each year. Frequently visiting companies are BMW, Renault Nissan, Mercedes Benz, Mahindra, Ashok Leyland, Maruti Suzuki, Havells, DRDO, Cognizant, Capgemini, BARC, Brahmos Aerospace, and many more.
• The highest and average salaries of the students are 23 LPA and 9.9 LPA.

NIT Patna

• The companies visiting the campus are Godrej, HDFC, Hella, Hero Motor Corporation, Gadhia Solar, Capgemini, Samsung, Tata Motor, Encore Technologies, Tat Auto, Verizon, Wipro, Intel, Siemens, Accenture, Aditya Birla, and many more.
• The highest and average salary of the students is 39.12 LPA and 7.71 LPA.

SRM Sonepat is ranked in the top 15 private institutions of India. SRM NCR has been ranked as the number 1 private institution in India by Times Engineering. Amity Noida holds a ranking of 22 for Private Engineering by NIRF 2020 whereas JIIT has been ranked at 48 for Engineering by The Week 2020.
