Should I choose ECE at IIITH or go for CSE at NIT Surathkal?
My sister studied CSE from NIT Surathkal which is an excellently ranked Institute. It has excellent opportunities available for anyone in the CSE department. It is the best option in terms of placements because core ECE jobs do not pay well. The number of jobs available to CSE graduates is way more than those to ECE.
If you notice the trend, you will see that a huge number of new companies have surfaced in the last decade, a few of them who recruit CSE students are Flipkart, Swiggy, Zomato, and Paytm.
You won't find a single MNC for ECE students and if any does, it's the core companies whose number is less than 15 here in India. These days ECE companies are not investing in B.Tech students, they are more interested in Masters candidates.
Some startups have come up in core engineering but there's a high chance that it will merge with other prosperous companies. They don't even provide good pay.
If you look at the reputation and academic excellence of both the Institutes, then you will realize that they are good. It's always advisable to choose CSE because data is king, currently.
Which of the following colleges and branches are better, IET Lucknow for CS or MSRIT for ECE? I will try for a branch change in MSRIT.

You should however research well about IET Lucknow. But, since it is located in Uttar Pradesh, the opportunities will not be as broad as it is in MSRIT, Bangalore.

Which is better - the NIT in Mizoram or VIT?
National Institute of Technology, Mizoram is an autonomous college, affiliated to the All Indian Council for Technical Education. The college ranks 90th for engineering in India by JEE Cut-off 2019. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses.
Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is a private university, approved by UGC and accredited grade ‘A’ by NAAC. The institute has over 300 international collaborations. It also collaborated with companies such as TCS, Wipro, and Cognizant. It offers 101 courses across 10 streams with its flagship course being B.Tech. In comparison to IIEST Shibpur, NIT Rourkela will be a better choice for you. The college provides better infrastructure, placements, and good college life. It is also way ahead of IIEST Shibpur in the NIRF ranking.
Accordion to the recent placement highlights, the highest and lowest CTC offered at NIT Rourkela is 42 LPA and 3.5 LPA. For IIEST Shibpur the lowest and highest CTC are 2.53 LPA and 39 LPA, respectively.
Overall, NIT Rourkela will be a better alternative. However, you should do your own research regarding the institute before deciding on one.
Between IIIT Allahabad for IT and IIIT Hyderabad for ECE, which should I prefer to satisfy my full interest in computers?

- If you have an interest in Computers, you should go with IT from IIIT Allahabad. Admission is not easy because IT is its most popular core branch.
- In case you don’t get admission to IIIT Allahabad, keep IIIT Hyderabad as a second option. Even though your branch is ECE, the coding culture there will give you an awesome start for your computer knowledge acquiring process.
If you get admitted to IIITA, satisfaction with your interest is guaranteed. If not, don’t feel you’ve settled for IIIT Hyderabad, as it is equally reputed and will fulfill your interest in computers.
