I know a few people from University of Hyderabad and here are some things that they mentioned.
Politics: The worst thing in the University of Hyderabad is the politics that begins from the day of admission. If you want to concentrate on your academics, it’s better to stay away from politics.
Friends: There will be people from all over the country. It’s good to make friends but keep your friend circle limited.
Freedom: You are free to do anything on campus be it the good and the bad things and there is no one to keep supervision. So, be responsible.
Sports: You can spend your time in the sports complex which consists of a gym and will help you be fit and healthy. Also, it will help you to focus more on good things and to stay out of the other useless activities.
Keep these things in mind and enjoy well at the University of Hyderabad.
Is placement of Chitkara University better than Thapar University, CGC Landran, Chandigarh University and Lovely University?
Since I am doing BTech from LPU and I did research a lot about these colleges before enrolling in LPU, I can say LPU is better in terms of placements.
- More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year.
- BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs.
- The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.

What is the average package of an MBA in XLRI Jamshedpur?
XLRI has recently concluded its placement drive for the batch 2022, with an impressive 100% placement rate. A total of 99 selection representatives participated in the drive, including 23 new recruiters. The highest CTC (Cost to Company) offered was INR 60 Lakhs per annum, which was presented by the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector. The average CTC offered was INR 30.73 Lakhs per annum and the median CTC was INR 29 Lakhs per annum. Additionally, around 40.28% of students received pre-placement offers.
The institution also released its placement report for the batch 2019-21, where the highest CTC offered was INR 50 Lakhs per annum, the average CTC was INR 25.08 Lakhs per annum and the median CTC was INR 23 Lakhs per annum. The highest stipend offered was INR 3.5 Lakhs per month while the average stipend offered was INR 1.54 Lakhs per month. The institution has thus demonstrated a consistent record of providing its students with opportunities to secure high-paying jobs and internships with top companies.
How good or bad is the XIMB campus (both old and new), especially the hostel rooms?
Both the campuses of XIMB have their advantages and disadvantages, but you don’t need to worry about the campus you are gonna get as both are part of the same family.
Hostel Rooms:
- Life at XIMB is pretty hectic. If you want to do well in your academics, you won’t be spending much time in your room.
- However, the new campus has better rooms as compared to the old one. As the new campus was build later.
- The rooms at the old campus are pretty good too. Besides, you will have so much on your plate that you will be staying out most of the time.
- There is a night mess at the campus that stays open from 12-3 and most of the time it’s crowded.
Internet:
Broadband service is pretty much good in the new campus, although the old campus still has the best broadband service compared to the new one. Fast services are not in much need as torrents do not work there.
If you have decided to study on either of the campuses, there is no need to withdraw because both campuses will give you equal life experiences and moments that you will cherish forever.
How is the life of a female medical student at AFMC, Pune?
life as a female medical student at AFMC Pune is structured, disciplined, and genuinely rewarding for those who embrace it:
daily life: uniform is mandatory — there are specific dress codes even for off-duty time within campus. hostel is well-maintained with good security (which many families appreciate). the male and female wings are clearly separated. there's a strong sense of sisterhood among women cadets.
academics: rigorous but supported. faculty are experienced military doctors, many with extensive field experience. clinical training at Command Hospital is excellent. male and female students learn side by side in academic settings.
freedom and leave: leave is more regulated than civilian colleges. mobile phone use was restricted historically in certain settings (check current policy as this has evolved). visits from family require permissions through official channels. overnight leave outside campus requires formalities.
social aspects: AFMC has cultural events, sports facilities, mess dinners, and a unique camaraderie. the campus is inside Pune Cantonment which is a very safe, well-maintained area. inter-AFMC events with other defence institutions exist.
the honest bottom line — female students at AFMC broadly report positive experiences. the discipline can feel restrictive initially, but most adapt and find the sense of purpose and community worthwhile. the guarantee of a commissioned officer career after graduation makes the structured life feel worth it for most. if the structure resonates with her values, AFMC is a truly prestigious path.
What is the average package of the IIT Ropar CSE? Is it a good choice at an AIR of 2145 in the JEE Advanced?
This year, the IIT Ropar CSE average package stood at INR 28.72 LPA which is pretty good for a new IIT. other statistics of the CSE branch have been tabulated below

However, judging an institute's worth on the basis of its placements is a wise thing to do. It's best to analyze your own preferences and also consider going through the course structure of the courses.
Coming to the second part of your question, yes, IIT Ropar CSE is a great option for those at the mentioned rank. The department has a highly learned faculty and provides a plethora of opportunities to its students. So go for it!
What is the placement scenario at IIT Patna for CSE?
IIT Patna placement 2023 has witnessed a great start with the highest salary standing at INR 82.05 LPA and the average salary standing at INR 29.30 LPA. Students received 72 PPOs and in all 281 offers were made. Some of the Top Recruiters were Amazon, Google, Adobe, etc.
Last year, students received 412 offers including 10 international offers. The highest international salary was recorded at INR 1.37 CPA and the highest domestic salary at INR 61.30 LPA.

Which is better, IITD civil or IIT Dhanbad for CS?
Since you haven’t mentioned the branch you are interested in, I will assume you have no particular preference. Now, the primary factor to consider is if you value the brand of the college or the branch of your choice. Consider the following points
- You can go for a less preferred branch at the top 5 IITs and then work hard for branch change. But this would be risky as branch change is very difficult.
- If your target is to get placed with excellent packages, then choose the CSE branch, it has the best job opportunities.
- You can also choose to work for noncore placements at the top 5 IITs. However, this will be very time-consuming as you have to manage both your noncore branch and CSE.
The best option would be to choose IIT Dhanbad CSE. It’s true that it won’t offer the opportunities and exposure that the top 5 IITs would but for me branch is more important than the brand name of the college. So, choose according to your preferences.
How hard is to get admission in Fergusson College Pune for a non Maharashtra candidate with average CBSE board marks? (for FYBsc.)
Your question is not clear as I am unable to figure out what you meant by the word “average”. Also, the stream for which you wish to get enrolled at Fergusson College, Pune should have been specified.
- The cut-off score for the department of Biotechnology is usually more than that of Microbiology.
- If you have obtained a score of above 90% in your class 12th board examinations, then it would be pretty easy for you to secure a seat for admission at Fergusson College, Pune.
- The cut-off score categories other than General would be lesser.
- So, if you have obtained a score of more than 75% and you fall into the SC/ST categories, then you may have a good probability of being accepted in one of the courses at Fergusson College Pune.
