Here is the SPJIMR Interview Experience of a student for the Marketing stream:
Her interview was profile-based and included a writing assessment related to piracy and a psychometric test with 20 questions. During the interview, she was in a classroom with six candidates, two professors, and one alum. After giving a one-minute introduction, they were asked one-on-one questions based on their introductions and why they wanted to join SPJIMR. She talked about her current company (Cognizant), her extracurricular activities, and her hobbies, among other things.
They asked her about her work at Cognizant, and about her role as a secretary. They were then asked to wait while the adcom people announced the results. After lunch, they returned for the second round of interviews with senior professors. The interview ended positively, and she was ultimately selected.

The requirement of experience depends solely on the company you are applying to. But I will personally suggest you be flexible and open to all profiles rather than targeting a single one.
IIMs in India provide excellent education and consistently grow and adapt to challenges, even during economic downturns. During the MBA placements season at IIM Ranchi in 2022, the highest and average packages offered were INR 42 LPA and INR 16.62 LPA, respectively. IIM Trichy also had a successful placements season in 2022, with the highest package offered to be INR 34 LPA, an increase of 13% compared to the previous year. One unique aspect of IIM Trichy is that it offers a course on International Business Practice, which allows students to work on live projects for companies based in Singapore and other locations.
Both IIM Ranchi and IIM Trichy are good choices for students interested in sales and marketing careers. Ultimately, the decision of which institute to attend will depend on your personal priorities and preferences.
When considering whether to attend IIM Raipur or another institute, it is important to consider a variety of factors. Both IIM Raipur and SCMHRD offer good placement opportunities for Marketing, however, the faculty and the curriculum may differ. It is recommended to attend lectures and evaluate which institute's faculty aligns more with your learning style and goals.
IIM Raipur has a strong reputation in the field of marketing and has won several marketing-related business school competitions over the years, making it a good choice for students interested in this domain.
From a long-term perspective, having an IIM tag on your resume can be beneficial. It makes you a part of a larger alumni pool and can open up many opportunities in the future. Many premium job portals have a criterion of "IIMs/ISB/XLRI/MDI only" for certain job openings, which could be a factor to consider when looking for post-MBA job opportunities.
It is important to keep in mind that the choice ultimately depends on the individual student's priorities and preferences. The information provided is only a guide to help in the decision-making process.

Indeed, IMI Delhi is one of the best colleges for Marketing in the country, consistently rated in the top 10 in the country. Their forte over the years has been the marketing depth their faculty brings to the table. If you don't have a choice to go for the top IIMs, I suggest you go for a marketing choice at IMI. Their placement record over the last decade has also been quite good.
The batch profile over there is pretty strong. You will find people from different cities, top colleges with core sales/advertising roles who add real value to the class. The mix of freshers and work-ex people is conducive to good placements. Also, the batch strength is not big, and hence the opportunities are immense.

MBA in Marketing is one of the greatest options available at FMS. Faculty members such as Prof Harsh Verma will provide you with the marketing expertise you seek. He teaches a wide range of subjects.
Dr. Ajay Pandit was also present during our term and was a jewel of a person. Prof Harsh Verma is a personal favorite of students because he does not teach in a typical way. He stimulates your mental process and makes you think. This improves your analytical capacity to approach a topic conceptually. I enjoyed learning about Brand Management, Consumer Behaviour, and Service Marketing with him.
