It is important to note that the Indian School of Business (ISB) does not offer a specific course structure that trains students to become Human Resource Managers. The Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP) at ISB is a general management program that covers various aspects of business, including human resources. However, the Fellow Program in Management does have an area called Organizational Behaviour and Strategy which is closely related to Human Resource Management.

IIM Kozhikode does not offer any specialization degree. It offers a General Management or PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management). This is somewhat equivalent to an MBA. It doesn’t offer specific PGDM in Operations, Finance, HR, etc.

A variety of electives are offered in the second year. You may choose these on the basis of your interests and the career you wish to pursue.

The students of this course belong to diverse fields including CA, CS, Engineering, Banking, BFSI, Academics, Professorship, etc. The professional benefit of this course may be an increment or a promotion, or both. But its most important benefit is knowledge upgradation and networking opportunities. 

PGCPF at IIM Indore offers good career benefits to industry professionals.

Rather than inquiring about the worth of a course, one should analyze whether the course is suitable for them or not. Your preference should be a priority not the worth of the course.

That being said, Executive MBA programs are suitable for 

• professionals with considerable experience (+10 years) , who are also managing a large team
• people in the consulting industry

If you don’t belong to any of these 2 categories, then the course is of no real value for you. This is because this program is far sighted and focuses on managerial elements like Organization and Strategies. Unless you are a consultant or a top manager this knowledge will be of little use. So go for it once you belong to one of the two categories only.

The EGMP or Executive General Management Program aims at providing comprehensive knowledge of business that helps managers enhance their decision-making skills.

The course is suitable for those who 

• cannot afford to leave their jobs permanently for studying
• Are not interested in placements but rather join the course for the sole purpose of enhancing their skills and acquiring better knowledge 
• Want an IIM tag to improve their job prospects
• Want to explore various aspects of business and functional areas in any Industry in order to change their industry
