The fees of IIEST Shibpur keep changing with time, and the present structure is published on the institute’s website accordingly. The present overall first-semester fee is Rs. 42,500, for M.Tech, which is broken into different fragments as stated below in the following table.

Key Highlights:

• The total first-semester fee includes a refundable caution deposit of Rs. 3000. For the other three semesters, the fee remains Rs. 39,400.
• There is a hostel fee of Rs. 1900, which is not mentioned in the fee breakup table.
• Other than the hostel fees, there is a variable mess fee of about Rs. 3500. There is also an extra annual mess fee of near about Rs. 4000-5000, which depends upon the expenditure.

Lovely Professional University (LPU), Jalandhar was ranked 99th in the NIRF Ranking for Engineering colleges for the year 2020. It offers a number of degree courses like B.TECH, M.TECH, M.Sc., PHD and B.TECH + M.TECH (dual degree) in many disciplines.

The college offers M.TECH under various streams like Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Robotics, Power System etc. to name a few.

HOW TO APPLY?

In order to apply for admission in LPU, the students must fill up the application form provided by the university. The application fees for the online form and soft copy of LPUNEST is INR 800 for male candidates and INR 500 for female candidates.

ADMISSION PROCESS:

The students must appear for LPUNEST (Lovely Professional University National Scholarship and Entrance Test) conducted by LPU, Jalandhar in order to take admission in M.Tech.

The admission in M.Tech at LPU, Jalandhar is done on merit basis of the qualifying examination conducted by the university.

FEES STRUCTURE:

The fees per year for M.TECH at LPU is around INR. 54,600 per semester. The total fees that a student needs to pay for the two year course of M.TECH is around INR 2.18 lakhs.

ELIGIBILITY:-

• The student must have secured an aggregate of at least 60% marks in their graduation (B. Tech/ B.E./MCA/M.SC).

• They must have graduated from the same or an equivalent stream in which they wish to pursue M. Tech.

The MTech in VLSI program at ABV-IIITM, Gwalior is a two-year program with specializations in Advanced Networks, Digital Communication, and Information Security. The annual median salary across students is noted to be 5.8 LPA in 2019.

• The faculty at ABV-IIITM, Gwalior for the MTech VLSI program are professionals in the field who come from a background of academic expertise and are well-versed with VLSI methods and processes.
• They are known to educate and train students to be acute professionals and use their knowledge to create practical solutions in the corporate world.
• Students that participate in the college’s placement drive will have the opportunity to interact with VLSI specialized companies like AMD and Altera. A
• Although it is important to note that the majority of companies that appear during the recruitment season are usually from the software sector and therefore there is a higher chance of not getting an opportunity to work at a core VLSI based firm.
• Some recruiting companies at IIITM, Gwalior for VLSI are Snapdeal, Samsung, TCS, Amazon, Adobe, Myntra, Practo, Reliance, Cisco, Alcatel, and Google.

The stipend paid varies according to the company but as per the MHRD norms it amounts to Rs 8000. Some students have also received a stipend of Rs 12,400 as per AICTE norms. So it would be ideal to conclude that the stipend ranges from anywhere between Rs 8000 to Rs 12,400.

Students are required to perform intensive research about the type of companies that they are looking to work with, considering IIITM, Gwalior offers limited placements to students from the VLSI sector. The total fees for the course amount to 4.23 lacs whereas students are required to clear the GATE exams in order to be eligible for admissions.

The general rank of 1430 (or a score of 624) is good enough to get colleges that are even better than ABV-IIITM Gwalior. With this rank, a candidate can get into NITs and many more institutes that have a much better curriculum and placement than ABV-IIITM Gwalior.

ABV IIITM Gwaliordoes not offer an MTech in CSE. However, if you are interested in CS/IT, you can get good placements. Some students secured a 7-digit salary package in the same field from this institute. 

ABV IIITM Gwalior is ranked 81 by NIRF. It is recognized by UGC and AICTE. They have a student strength of 854 students. 

MTech in VLSI is a 2 year full time postgraduate course which involves engineering aspects of designing and developing IC based systems. The course is divided into 4 semesters.

• The average salary package overall offered was 14.58 LPA.
• Students graduating with MTech in VLSI Design can work in VLSI Testing, Chip Designing, Lecturer, VLSI Design Engineer, etc.

Faculty

• There is the head of the department, with professors, associate professor, and assistant professors.

Students will require 75% in their 10+2 qualifying exam and 60% in their BTech or BE exam to be eligible for admission at ABV IIITM Gwalior for the MTech program in VLSI Design. Final selection will be based on GATE scores.

As per the MHRD norms, the students are offered stipends within the range of INR 7000-13000. Approximately, this year a total of 18% students received Pre-placement offers from various companies.
