What happens if a UFM is showing on an AKTU result?
UFM means Unfair Means in AKTU exam results. if UFM shows on your AKTU result, it means you were caught using unfair means (cheating, impersonation, mobile phone, etc.) during the exam.
consequences of UFM at AKTU:
- the paper in which UFM was used is typically cancelled — you get 0 marks or the result is withheld
- you may be debarred from exams for 1-3 years depending on the severity
- a formal inquiry/committee review happens before punishment is finalized
- the UFM case goes to a committee at AKTU that reviews and decides penalty
what to do if UFM is marked:
- contact your college examination cell immediately
- you have the right to present your case before the AKTU UFM committee
- hire a lawyer for serious cases or if debarment seems likely
- represent that it was a genuine mistake if applicable

How is the girl's hostel of (MBBS) MAMC Delhi?
Here are some girls' hostels allotted to MBBS students of MAMC Delhi
- Old Girls Hostel (OGH): This hostel has ripple occupancy rooms with decent bathrooms and below-average mess food. This hostel also has curfew timings of around 11 PM.
- New Girls Hostel (NGH): This has been newly made with better and modern faculties and single occupancy rooms with a small balcony. The bathrooms were better in terms of sanitation, hygiene, and water supply. The curfew timings are better and students are expected to come back by midnight. This hostel has a Girls’ Common Room, a nice place for group studying and eating.
- Interns Hostel: This is the worst hostel in terms of construction and building. Most girls are allotted double occupancy rooms and the rest have the same rooms as single-seaters. The rooms were congested with no balconies and ACs were not allowed.
Overall, MAMC girls' hostel facilities aren't very good but you will make a lot of friends there and create amazing memories.
How is the MBA from Delhi Technological University (DTU) ? How are placements?
The best MBA opportunities and experience can be sought from top schools and management institutes. But for those who fail to make it those these institutes because of rigorous admission, DTU MBA is also a decent choice.

What is your review of Management Development Institute, Gurgaon?
My review of the Management Development Institute, Gurgaon is fairly objective and is based on my sister's review of the same. I have written a detailed review with elaborate pros and cons that might clear most of your doubts.
Pros
Campus: The campus is in the vicinity of all the dynamic places in Gurgaon like a cyber hub, sec 29, and golf course road. However, inside the campus, the ambiance is exactly different and serene. The infrastructure and campus are extremely beautiful, lush green, and well-built to give you a fairly dreamy experience.
No reservation: Unlike other B Schools, MDI Gurgaon does not reserve seats for minorities or any other groups. So the entire batch is usually 98 percentilers ensuring you avail the best peer learning experience.
Clubs: MDI Gurgaon has the usual clubs as well as the extraordinary ones like Unnati and Illumina Illumina is a disguised market research event, wherein a Diwali mela is organized on the campus. Marketing companies give out projects for market research to students who then create games to do research. Unnati is a fund operated by the students of MDI. Alums and students invest in it.
Faculty: The faculty keeps changing or retiring but the most permanent faculty is Prof. Sanjay Bakshi, who also runs a company called Value Quest.
Placements: The placements are definitely not at or with IIM ABC but are at level with IIM IKL or FMS.
Exchange program: The exchange program is one of the best in the country as almost one-third of the batch gets to visit Europe and get amazing exposure.
Alumni: MDI has its alumni in top positions in the corporate world as well as the startup world. Some of them include Paperboat, Instamojo, Cashify, etc. Some of the alums are in top positions like Amit Boni, who is the head of Motorola India.
Cons
Weak alumni base: The alumni meets are just official meet-ups not many are interested to attend. Only the recent batches meet and no one is interested in strengthening the network.
There are not many flaws one can point to this great Institute as you can see how the pros overshadow the cons and make it a good choice.
What should be the preference order between: IIT KGP, IITR, IITG and IIT BHU? Why?
IIT KGP has been ranking among the top IITs for over a decade now. It is widely recognized globally. If you are planning on pursuing higher education overseas, doing your degree from IIT KGP can help you a lot. In fact, having a degree from IIT KGP gives you maximum leverage to choose whatever career path you want in engineering.
Although IIT BHU and IIT Roorkee became IITs later, there are very old institutes. Both BHU and Roorkee have immense respect in the academic world, all across the globe. But these two aren’t considered among the top 5 IITs when it comes to international reputation and career opportunities.
IIT Guwahati was established quite recently. But it has made an immense stride in this limited time period. The only downside for the institute is the limited alumni network and industry recognition.
When compared generally, the preference order of these institutes will be -
IIT KGP>IIT BHU=IITR>IITG
However, before choosing any of these institutes, you should consider your interest. Choose the best institute that you are getting for your branch of choice.
Which college is better, IIT Guwahati or IIT BHU?
If you ask me, being a student of IIT BHU myself, I think it is a better choice than IIT Guwahati.
- IIT BHU is one of the well-renowned academic institutions known for its exceptionally good academic standards and research facilities that it offers to the students.
- The institution offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses for individuals.
- The placement scenario for IIT BHU is pretty good with the domestic highest package being INR 1.68 CPA and the international highest package being INR 77 LPA.
- The average package for PPO was INR 31 LPA for the year 2023.
- Some of the top recruiters were Qualcomm, Uber, Goldman Sachs, and Google.
Is Thapar university still good? If yes, then why are its closing ranks higher? If no, then why did it lose its shine?
Thapar University is a good institution. I would like to talk about the three parameters on which one would assess a university and tell you how Thapar is performing in each-
- Placements- Placements are pretty good at Thapar University. If you are among the top performers, you will find yourself placed in a big company. Some of the big companies that visit the campus for placements are- Texas Instruments, Sandisk, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, etc.
- Academics- Thapar is pretty decent academically. Since 2015 it has changed its curriculum. The new curriculum is project-based. In the first year, you will get to learn about Catapult Design and in the second year, you will get to do a Buggy project. This institution offers some unique projects to its students and if you are hungry for knowledge, Thapar University is the right institution.
- Infrastructure- The infrastructure is good and the sports facilities are ample. There are four tennis courts, one football cum race track, one cricket ground, two basketball courts, one volleyball ground and one extra ground to play the sports of your choice. There are 6 boys hostels and 4 girls hostels. The classrooms are good.
Overall, Thapar University is a good institution and it has all the facilities in terms of academics and infrastructure.
Where are you placed after getting an M.Tech degree from IIT Bombay?
You may find inspiration in the story of a student who completed his MTech from IIT Bombay and landed a job in one of the biggest companies, NVIDIA. Is it worth joining IIM Nagpur for 10 Lakhs, considering that IIM Ahmedabad will be mentoring it initially?
If you don’t have a better option and can’t wait for a year more, it’s best to go for IIM Nagpur. Although it’s not among the top IIMs, it will not disappoint you. The main reasons for the same are:

Firstly, IIM Nagpur is mentored by IIM Ahmedabad. So you will get the chance to be taught by IIMA faculty in the same methodology.

IIM Nagpur is located in a well-connected city so has all the basic facilities like connectivity, a local support system, local industry, and safety.

The placements at IIM Nagpur are also good considering the students have been trained by IIMA faculty.
If you are tight on budget then pursuing MBA from IIM Nagpur is not a bad choice.
What are the passing criteria for in the AKTU semester?
AKTU (Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University) semester passing criteria:
- Theory: minimum 30 marks out of 100 (30%) in semester end exam PLUS 75% attendance required to sit in exam
- Internal Assessment: minimum marks in sessional/internal separately
- Combined passing: to pass a subject, you need minimum in both internal and external. failing either means a KT (backlog)
- Overall semester: a student passes a semester by clearing individual subjects. with too many backlogs, promotion may be affected (year back rule applies)
AKTU's passing threshold is 30% in the end semester exam — relatively lenient compared to some universities. but attendance is strictly monitored (75% minimum compulsory). check aktu.ac.in for the latest ordinance for your specific batch/scheme as AKTU has multiple running exam schemes.
