How tough is it to score 70 in the IGNOU BA?

KK
Kamya Kamra Posted On : October 20th, 2022
BA from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

You must conduct conceptual research. You must write answers that are free of grammatical errors. If you look through previous year question papers, you will notice that IGNOU asks less traditional questions. IGNOU asks questions based on your concept, such as "what do you think," "what is your opinion," and so on. Everything is contained in the study materials. You simply must take both the assignment and the TEE seriously.

Start preparing for each TEE one month in advance, and dedicate that one month solely to your BA degree. It is advised to watch videos and read articles from GOOGLE. Concentrate on conceptual research. It will be beneficial to achieve more than 65% overall. It would not be difficult to obtain a 70% in IGNOU. Just consistency is required.

Why is NSIT the worst engineering college in Delhi?

SA
Simran Arora Posted On : August 21st, 2023
Studied CS from NSIT (2019)

It's quite subjective to claim NSUT is the worst engineering college as it has churned out a few successful engineers too. The only people who find it below average and worst are those who couldn't make it to the prestigious institution despite being rich because it does accept any kind of bribes. I have many friends in the institute that say the college gave them wings to fly and discover their passions. So the people nitpicking on the colleges worth are the ones that did not utilize the available resources or took part in any kind of activity.

Rather than criticizing an institute, I suggest it's better to take action and start working on yourself because you cannot change the institute but can change yourself drastically for the better.

So, NSUT is definitely not the worst engineering college in Delhi as it has given wings to many engineering students who are pursuing successful careers today. best engineering college in India and almost a religion for many like me.

How is the placement for an MTech in biomedical engineering at IIT Bombay?

AJ
Advait Joshi Posted On : March 20th, 2023
Lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

One of my friends completed his MTech in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Bombay and gave an insight into the placement scenario of the same course. Out of 16 students who attended placements from this course, 14 students were placed. Another friend told me that 11 out of 17 in his batch were placed under decent roles. The others opted out of placements.

A number of Biomedical companies like GE, Cerner, L&T etc visit the campus and offer decent roles. Many non core companies also allow Biomedical students to sit for their placements and sometimes offer good roles too.

A number of analytics and data science jobs are also offered. Top core roles offered here are Associate Analyst, Lab Analyst, etc. Many students even opt for PhD after MTech.

Can I change my subject in SOL DU?

CS
Chitra Sen Posted On : May 3rd, 2026

changing subjects in DU SOL (School of Open Learning):

subject change at SOL is possible but has conditions:

  • Subject change window: SOL typically allows subject changes in the first few weeks of admission (usually 15-30 days after enrollment). after this window closes, changes are very difficult
  • How to apply: visit your SOL study center or the SOL main office in Delhi ? fill subject change form ? pay any applicable fee
  • Restrictions: changes must be within available combinations for your program. you can't switch to any random combination — must be an allowed combination per SOL rules
  • After the change window: generally not allowed except in exceptional circumstances with prior permission

visit sol.du.ac.in for the latest subject change guidelines and dates. contact your SOL regional center or the main SOL office at North Campus for in-person assistance. act quickly if you want to change — the window closes fast after admission.

How is B.Sc Economics at NMIMS Mumbai?

PJ
Pooja Johar Posted On : June 29th, 2021
MBA, SVKM's NMIMS, Batch 2017-19

The B.Sc Economics course offered by the Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics of the NMIMS Mumbai is great and will be a wonderful experience if you factor out the cost of the course.

Academics:

  • The course is well balanced and the pedagogy not only includes core subjects but also from fields such as psychology, sociology, political science, IT, etc.
  • The institute also hosts many guest lectures and seminars which offer a better understanding of the real world.
  • The demerit of the course is that it is too focused and requires a lot of attention. Attendance is taken seriously.

Fees:

  • The yearly fee for the batch of 2017-20 was INR 2.5 lakhs.
  • The university provides very limited accommodation options, so you need to live for yourself in Mumbai. Depending on your lifestyle and accommodation you will need another INR 3.5 lakhs to INR 7 lakhs per annum towards living expenses.

So even if you take the lower amount, you will need close to INR 18 lakhs to INR 20 lakhs for the whole 3 years of the undergraduate program.

Placements:

Here are the placement stats released by the department for the batch of 2016-19.

  • Total number of students – 87
  • Number of students opting for placements – 18
  • Percentage of students placed who opted for placements – 77%
  • Highest salary – INR 11.60 lakhs per annum
  • Average salary – INR 4.60 lakhs per annum
  • Some recruiters – PwC, KPMG, Nomura, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mu Sigma, JP Morgan India Services, IDBI Federal Life, etc.

The experience is really good, but choose the institute only if you are willing to pay the huge fees for your undergraduate.

What are the craziest stories of IIIT Hyderabad?

DS
Deeksha Seth Posted On : February 25th, 2021
Studied Computer Science at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (2015)

One of my friends being a part of IIIT Hyderabad had shared his fair share of craziest stories about the institution which included an ordinary habit of sleeping in front of a teacher during ongoing classes. Nevertheless, it was surprising to see how aloof he was with this situation. For 2-5 years, he managed to hide from every professional's eyes. He survived till 3rd year with an F grade. Yet there's the doomsday. This was the first half of the sixth half.

Prof. Nand Kishore Acharya, one of the humblest and modest professors of IIIT conducted a test which took place at 10.30. K used to fall asleep in a matter of 20 minutes. At 10.15 am, the alarm rings and snoozes again at 10.30. His sleep lasted until 11:00 am and the menacing sound of the alarm overwhelmed him.

No one mentioned his absence for a while in the examination hall. The man stands 5 minutes late in front of him in the hall.

Interestingly, after that K mailed the professor, about a major asthma attack and said he was taken to the hospital and could not appear for the mid-sem, as he was discharged this morning.

There was a crowd out of his room and everyone was knocking on his door. He comes out to their relief, smiling and healthy.

The teacher accepted the letter and gave him marks for the relevant test.

Among VMMC, UCMS and PGIMER (and the RML hospital) which is the best for an MD in general medicine?

SS
Siddharth Sengupta Posted On : November 22nd, 2021
M.B.B.S from University College of Medical Sciences, University of Delhi (2021)

Among the three option mentioned, PGIMER and RML hospital is the best option for doing an MD in General Medicine. It offers great exposure and academics. The spectrum of cases, facilities available, quality of care offered is exceptional. Other than Oncology, you will have exposure to all subspecialties.

UCMS is almost in the same range. However, it has a locational disadvantage. Other than that the spectrum of cases and academics offered at the institute is quite good.

VMMC is also a decent option. But it has a high patient load. Academics are really poor and you will have to go out of your way to learn things.
