Is doing B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing from AIIMS Delhi any good?

I
InfiniteHerald Posted On : April 2nd, 2026

I’m currently doing my B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing from AIIMS Delhi, and honestly, it’s been a great experience so far! The curriculum is pretty solid; we started going to the wards from the second month of the first year, which is amazing for practical exposure. While subjects like anatomy and physiology can feel a bit too detailed for us, they do have their relevance in the long run. Plus, the faculty is really supportive, which makes learning much easier. The best part? After 3.5 years, we get a six-month paid internship at AIIMS Delhi, earning around Rs 13,000. Overall, I’d say it’s definitely worth it if you’re serious about nursing!

How many marks should one get to have access to MBBS in AIIMS Delhi?

A
AzureLeeway Posted On : April 2nd, 2026

Thanks for your question! For AIIMS, the minimum cutoff for the SC category in the 1st round was 582 marks, with an all-India rank of 40087 (AIIMS Madurai). I recommend aiming for above 620 marks to secure a spot in your preferred AIIMS.

For AIIMS New Delhi, the last cutoff for the SC category in the 1st round was 687 marks, with an all-India rank of 989.

Here are the least cutoffs for other government medical colleges for the SC category:

  • Round 1: Marks - 509, Rank - 100013
  • Round 2: Marks - 492, Rank - 116887
  • Round 3: Marks - 486, Rank - 123215

Keep in mind that these are the minimum cutoffs. Scoring higher will improve your chances of getting into the best government medical colleges. All the best! ????

The cutoff rank for B.Sc (Nursing) at AIIMS Delhi varies each year, but you need to keep an eye on the official website for the latest updates. I cleared the AIIMS B.Sc (Hons.) nursing entrance exam after my 12th in 2025. The exam was a bit challenging, but I found it easier than NEET. Just focus on your physics, chemistry, and biology, and you should be good to go!

Does AIIMS Delhi give CPI or aggregate in MBBS at the end?

C
CloudChaos Posted On : April 2nd, 2026

So, at AIIMS Delhi, we receive a CPI for our MBBS, which makes tracking our academic progress a bit more manageable. The curriculum is intense but so rewarding! It's designed to get us hands-on experience early on, and I can’t wait for my 5th year internship. The emphasis on clinical skills from the get-go really prepares us to be great doctors.

Is it worth doing an B.Sc (Nursing) at AIIMS Delhi if my main goal is to land a high-paying job??

A
AbstractApe Posted On : March 31st, 2026

I would totally recommend the B.Sc (Nursing) course at AIIMS Delhi if you're looking for a high-paying job. The practical exposure we get from the second month itself is invaluable. The internship is particularly beneficial, with Rs 13,000 as pay during the last six months. Plus, once you clear the NORCET exam after graduation, landing a central government nursing officer position is pretty much a sure thing, and the salary is quite attractive. The fees are also extremely reasonable, which is a huge plus. So, if you’re serious about nursing, AIIMS is definitely worth considering!

AIIMS Delhi or AFMC would be the best for MBBS?

E
ElectricWraith Posted On : March 31st, 2026

AIIMS Delhi definitely stands out with its rigorous curriculum, incredible faculty, and vibrant campus life compared to AFMC. At AIIMS, the exposure to clinical practices starts early, and the faculty-to-student ratio allows for personalized attention, enhancing the learning experience significantly. The campus offers a slew of activities, from sports to cultural fests, making it a lively environment. While AFMC also has its perks, especially for those interested in a military career, AIIMS Delhi edges ahead in overall academic and extracurricular experience. For those who prioritize a comprehensive medical education in a dynamic setting, AIIMS Delhi is the way to go; however, if you're looking for a career in defense medicine, AFMC might be your best bet.

How is B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing branch at AIIMS Delhi? What about its placement in 2025/26??

G
GalacticHoneycomb Posted On : March 31st, 2026

I'm currently pursuing B.Sc (Hons.) Nursing at AIIMS Delhi, and it's been quite a journey. The curriculum is pretty comprehensive, although I sometimes feel that diving deep into subjects like anatomy and physiology isn't always practical for us as nursing officers. The good part is we start our ward training from the second month of the first year, which really helps us gain hands-on experience early on.

Looking ahead to 2026, I believe our placements will be solid, especially since we’ll be eligible for the NORCET exam, which can lead to a government job with a decent salary. Plus, the internship at AIIMS itself pays around Rs 13,000 for six months, which is a nice bonus.

What is the in hand salary of students who graduated from MBBS AIIMS Delhi??

S
StarlightLoch Posted On : March 31st, 2026

I graduated in April 2022. Right after graduation, I started working as a Junior Resident in a government hospital in Delhi. My in-hand salary was 1.17 lakhs per month.

After a couple of months, I got selected as a Medical Officer under HCMS (Haryana Civil Medical Services). The salary in Haryana was slightly lower compared to Delhi. My current salary is 1 lakh 5 thousand, including allowances.

My basic pay in both jobs was 56k. In private hospitals, MBBS graduates earn around 40k. (Strictly talking about Delhi NCR; not sure about salaries in other states.)
