daily life: uniform is mandatory — there are specific dress codes even for off-duty time within campus. hostel is well-maintained with good security (which many families appreciate). the male and female wings are clearly separated. there's a strong sense of sisterhood among women cadets.
academics: rigorous but supported. faculty are experienced military doctors, many with extensive field experience. clinical training at Command Hospital is excellent. male and female students learn side by side in academic settings.
freedom and leave: leave is more regulated than civilian colleges. mobile phone use was restricted historically in certain settings (check current policy as this has evolved). visits from family require permissions through official channels. overnight leave outside campus requires formalities.

In IIM Ahmedabad, how did you find your classes on the first day?
My sister is an IIM Ahmedabad pass out and narrated her experience of her first day at the prestigious institute.
Firstly you have to look at the seating chart outside the class. Once you enter you will find your name assigned to a particular seat. Seats are assigned on the basis of an unknown algorithm.
The first class is usually conducted by the Director Prof. Ashish Nanda. An alumnus of the institute, he is no less than a celebrity there. The students are excited to be in such a coveted place and taught by such an important person.
Class rooms are usually named CR1 or CR9. Find your own classroom beforehand and on the said date enter your classroom wel before time. You will be astonished to find that the class will have already been filled with eager students.
How is student life at BITS pilani?
BITS Pilani offers the best student life only if you use every opportunity available here. The college authorities give sufficient freedom to the students, and there are no mandatory attendance requirements like at other institutes. If you are highly passionate about the field of study you have selected, then you will attend the classes regularly. Numerous clubs are also running on campus, which is highly beneficial for every student. The other factors about the college are listed below
Ragging: BITS Pilani doesn’t encourage ragging among the students and is banned here. if anyone violates this rule, they would be punished immediately
Fests and Events: This institute conducts three programs every year, namely BOSOM (for sports enthusiasts), OASIS, and APOGEE (tech fest)
Weather: Here, BITS Pilani disappoints the students The weather is very bad here when compared with other colleges but you will get used to it

Life at IIIT Bhubaneswar is pretty good. But whether or not you like it, depends upon your expectations from this institution. IIIT Bhubaneswar has both good and bad points.
Good aspects:

- Placements are decent, especially for CSE and IT branch
- Faculties provide all possible support to students for their research work

Bad aspects:
- IIIT Bhubaneswar has some rules that seem absurd to the students
- The recruiters focus mainly on CSE and IT branches. EEE and such branches may not be eligible for many of the companies that visit during placements season
- The mess food is below average
- Even for a simple issue, one has to get clearance from multiple people present in the Management, and this makes the process very slow and tedious
- The fee has increased substantially for the tuition, hostel, and other facilities over the years
- Some faculty members cause toxic politics. You should stay away from this and enjoy your time at IIIT Bhubaneswar
IIIT Hyderabad, IIIT Bangalore or any IIT have far more opportunities. But if you know how to make use of the opportunities at IIIT Bhubaneswar, you will be able to achieve your goals and enjoy your time in the institution.
What is it like to attend NIT Puducherry?
One of my friends studied at NIT Puducherry. According to him, when he graduated from NIT Puducherry, the college was not very much developed.
During his time there was poor teaching staff with minimum facilities. He understood that depending on the college and its faculty will get him nowhere. So he started working hard himself.
But now the institute has come a long way from there. It has now a fully functional permanent campus. Many reputed companies visit during placement drives. Though the salary packages offered may not satisfy an engineering graduate, it has still offered the best it can.

How is the life at NIT Puducherry?
NIT Puducherry is really a nice institute. Let’s see some facts about it :
- The campus is huge, covering 256 acres, with a sea nearby that provides a cool wind 24 hours a day, and the temperature is pleasant.
- Because it is a new institution located outside of town, the atmosphere is serene and quiet, providing a conducive learning environment, free of all forms of politics.
- It is completely free of ragging, and the seniors are really kind and helpful.
- The sunrise and sunset views of the institution and its surrounding environs are spectacular.
- The infrastructure is fantastic, with a four-storey hostel for guys and a two-storey hostel for girls (girls).

You might not get good placement offers as the institute is currently in a development phase. But it is still improving each year. Another issue with the institute is that you will be required to submit a lot of assignments in a term. Overall, you will enjoy your time at NIT Puducherry.
How's life at BVP, Bharti Vidyapeeth, IPU, Delhi?
My senior from school graduated from Bharti Vidyapeeth. He described his college life as a unique amalgamation of emotions and events. The college pays strict attention to its attendance criteria, internally evaluating their students as well as how much freedom should be granted to the students in many college aspects. These measures can act as a positive as it can give the students a sense of responsibility throughout their tenure as a student of this college and also an effective way to keep distractions at bay. Infrastructure:
The infrastructure of the college is quite good. However, compared to other engineering colleges, the campus is very small. Labs and equipment are up to date and are properly maintained.
Academics:
The faculty of Bharti Vidyapeeth tries their best to provide quality education. That being said, they are not lenient at all. Working for the minimum marks requires a lot of hard work in internal examinations. Teachers may aid you if your aim is to perform research in the future.
Technological Societies:
- Technological societies in Bharti Vidyapeeth are in abundance. Some of them are IEEE, GDG, and ISTE.
- Each of them come with their own benefits. Some of these societies have their very own technical fests. The technical fest Bvest, is reputed to be a good technical fest.
- Some of the other active societies apart from technological ones are NSS and the Dramatics Society Zaahir.
Cultural and Co-curricular:
The cultural front of the college is somewhat weak in some aspects.
- The college has only one cultural fest which is not exuberant. The college participates in almost every competition in Augoonj which is the annual cultural fest of IPU.
- Sports is also very active in the college. You will have a good time if you are a sports enthusiast.
Placements:
- According to student reviews, core company placements are very low, IT companies visit the campus for placements. Some of the top recruiters at the institute are Thoughtworks, TCS, EY, etc.
- Individual performance throughout the tenure of the program determines placements.
As it already has been said, the college is not known to be lenient. However, it will not stop the students from reaching out to opportunities like taking part in national-level competitions or attending workshops, or gaining experience in entrepreneurship. You just need to maintain good academics.
How is life at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College?
One of my friends studied in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College (SBSC). According to him it is a really great institution with its equal share of academics and extracurricular activities.
Here are some things you should know about it:
- It is known to be the top commerce colleges of Delhi University.
- The infrastructure is well maintained with proper buildings and sports ground. The only thing lacking is an auditorium.
- Here at SBSC, attendance is not scrutinized strictly. Students are given enough time to explore and work on themselves.
- Students willing to pursue any other professional degree along with their graduation, can also do that without any hassle with maintaining a certain attendance percentage.
- There are many clubs and societies like dance, drama, literature, etc. students can take part in and develop themselves holistically.
- The faculty members are well experienced and cooperative.
Overall the campus is really great with all the necessary facilities provided to the students, to build themselves up and become their best self.
What are some helpful tips for students starting their first year at Mithibai College?
You as a student of Mithibai College Mumbai should keep an open mind and expect a tremendous change if you are coming from any other state. Life in Mithibai is easy but it will take some time to blend in.
- Mumbai stereotypes mostly do not hold true about Mithibai.
- People here are not arrogant but welcoming and accepting enough.
