A degree from it is valuable in and of itself. Second, while faculty may be similar in some ways, exposure at DU is unparalleled. You will learn a lot.
MSU Baroda is a great university with a vibrant past and a strong alumni base, but in the current scenario, good colleges of DU stand out. But, yes, you must work hard and take the initiative to learn and gain knowledge wherever you study because, in the end, it is the knowledge you acquire that counts.
How good is the Geology department at Hansraj College for UG?
One of my friends studied at Hansraj College. According to him, the Geology department is not up to the mark. Here’s mentioning some things that proved to be a disappointment for the students.
- The placements are underwhelming. No reputed organization ever recruits students from this department.
- The classes are irregular and no discipline or decorum is maintained.
- Since it has the curriculum standards of DU, students are put under a lot of pressure to mug up elaborate theories.
- The practical classes are uninteresting, basically because it is not much focussed on.
- Classes of B.Sc. Geology is held outside the main campus where students tend to feel alienated from others.
- They have very little exposure hence less placements.
- Lastly, there is no geology society, where you can learn specific things about the course, get in-hand training, etc.
Therefore, if you want to do B.Sc. then opt for some other subject or you can do a BA or B.Com. from DU as they will provide better scope than Geology.
What is the criteria for applying for B.Sc. economics in Bethune college?
There are no particular criteria to apply for Economics at Bethune College. Any 12th passed student can apply for the course. They mainly consider the aggregate marks of your best 3 or 4 subjects. The selection is completely merit-based.
- Just keep an eye on the website during the admission period, which is usually June or July. Look out for admission notifications.
- Once the online admission portal is open, fill out the admission form with the required details.
- You have to choose 2 General Elective (GE) subjects apart from your major. These subjects will be for the first 2 years.
- With Economics Honours, students usually take Statistics and Mathematics for the GE subjects.
- You will have to scan and upload a few documents like your identity proof (Aadhar card/voter card/pan card/driver’s license/passport) or your admit card for class 10 boards and your class 12 boards marksheet.
As the entire admission process is now conducted online, you also need to pay the fee for the application online.
What is the admission procedure for studying for a B.Sc in physics at Amity University?
First of all look for the eligibility of the course that is B.Sc in Physics at Amity University. Currently, any student with a minimum of 50% marks in the 10+2 system and a minimum of 50% in Physics is required to be eligible to apply for the course at the university.

- 93% and above – 100% scholarship to be received and applicable for all campuses.
- 90% and above for Noida campus and 88% and above for other campuses – 50% scholarship will be provided
- 80% and above for Jaipur, Kolkata, and Lucknow campuses, 75% and above for Mumbai and Greater Noida campuses, and 70% and above for Ranchi, Gwalior and Raipur campuses will receive 25% scholarship.
However, keep in mind that scholarships are provided to a limited number of students and thus there are a limited number of seats under this scheme. Also, you would be offered scholarships only after joining the program.
