To choose between any of the two, you need to be clear about your page of interest first. Are you interested in theoretical Computer Science and Mathematics or the technical CS&E offered at engineering colleges?

However, having friends at CMI, I will be able to point out the pros and cons associated with the institution:

Pros:

• The biggest advantage you can get here is that you can for Ph.D. immediately after BSc without doing MSc. That’s the reason more than 80% of the whole batch of CMI opts for Ph.D. By this, you can understand the rigor of the course and its focus on research.
• If you do not want to go for Ph.D., you can take up higher-level MSc courses in the institute itself if you have completed the pre-requisites.

Cons

• Honestly, nobody really knows about CMI in India except the Maths fraternity. Even my friend, who is now an alumnus of CMI, came to know about it only when he was in class 12. 
• Don’t get surprised when your friends and relatives will go blank when you tell them that you attend CMI.

However, on the other hand, if you go to any of these top engineering colleges and for a CSE program you can definitely get a good placement of 5+ lakhs.

Holkar Science College is recognized by the Madhya Pradesh Government for providing undergraduate as well as postgraduate degree programs. Ranked at no.1 in Madhya Pradesh, Medicaps University is a private university offering various degree and research programs.

Admission:

B.Sc CS from Holkar Science College:

• The Bachelor of Science Program from Holkar Science College is a 3 years integrated program with the eligibility criteria of having passed 10+2 examination in a science stream while the selection being on the basis of merit.

• The grand total of the fees for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science is Rs. 32,600.

B.Tech CS from Medicaps University:

• The Bachelor of Technology program from Medicaps University is an integrated program offering specialization in Computer Science with the eligibility criteria of having passed 10+2 examination with an aggregate score of 75% while the selection being on the basis of JEE Main Entrance Exam.

• The fees for the Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science for the first year are Rs. 1 Lac.

Holkar Science College:

Being graduated from Holkar Science College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, the students have chances of getting into various IT-related companies.

Medicaps University:

It holds a record of providing 94% placements every year with more than 200 companies visiting the campus such as Tata, Axis, Hike, ICICI, Amazon, Apollo.

Bachelors of Science Program from Holkar Science College and Bachelors of Technology program from Medicaps University differ on the basis of eligibility criteria and selection along with the fee structure and the placements offered. Both the institutes have their advantages and disadvantages, so choose according to your convenience.

The general preference is that none of the two colleges is a feasible option for pursuing B.Sc (Chemistry). The reasons behind this are listed separately below for both the colleges:

• Xavier’s is not a good option for chemistry. The faculty is not equipped in teaching in-depth concepts. They do not provide the requisite exposure for broadening a student's knowledge base.
• A general tendency of faculties is that they don’t recommend books. A huge amount of knowledge is gained by using internet sources which in turn makes them dependent on electronic sources.
• Internal politics is also an inevitable element of the campus culture. A lot of distraction is inherent in the day-to-day activities.
• Jadavpur University also gives very less exposure in terms of the knowledge base.
• A large amount of attention is focused on internal politics which hampers the educational and professional growth of the candidates.

Both the colleges reflect quite a dismal picture for this particular course, but even if the choice has to be made it will shift towards Xavier’s Kolkata as in:

• It is the only NAAC Accredited A++ institute in West Bengal making your degree more reputed and acceptable. It will provide larger scope for better career options in the market.
• It allows individuals to look out to different personality domains of a candidate as it gives opportunity in the form of various cultural & social events.

Overall, Xavier’s is a better option than Jadavpur University in every aspect.

NMIMS Bangalore is one of the top universities in Bangalore. It provides a number of UG, PG and certificate courses in a variety of disciplines including BBA, BSc, B.Com, BA LLB, and PGDM just to name a few famous courses.
