Is VIT Vellore better or BIT Mesra in terms of all aspects?
To be honest, BIT Mesra is the dream college of many while VIT Vellore is only considered a backup in case they don’t make it to the top colleges. BIT Mesra is the best private engineering college in India second only to BITS Pilani. Here are a few points that support my stance
- A high number of students were selected for JEE Advanced.
- Excellent infrastructure and campus facilities make the ambiance vibrant and comfortable.
- The institute enjoys an excellent placement scenario. BIT Mesra's average package 2022 stood at INR 13.01 LPA while that at VIT Vellore stood at INR 8.19 LPA.
- The admission to BIT Mesra is based on the merit of JEE Mains through JOSAA's counseling.
- The institute has a record of having some of the best and most highly experienced faculty.
One of my friends had to choose between these two institutes and eventually went for BIT Mesra. He claimed that it had a better alum network, better placement records, better global recognition, and a coding culture. Now it’s up to you to make an informed decision!
Which one is better: DTU, NSIT or IIIT Delhi?
All the colleges you mentioned; NSIT, DTU, and IIIT Delhi are run by the NCT government and have similar opportunities and brand value. The choice of the institute here depends more on personal factors than the institute itself.
NSIT:
- NSIT is located in Dwarka.
- It functions under DU and offers a 4-year course for a bachelor of engineering.
- NSIT is an excellent choice for those who want to get IT-related branches like CSE, IT, and ECE.
- Most departments are at par with DTU departments
DTU:
- DTU is a highly regarded technical institute offering superior quality BTech courses
- This institute is well-known for core branches like CIVIL, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering.
- The most reputed branch of DTU is Mechanical Engineering, often compared to IIT Delhi Mechanical Engineering.
IIIT Delhi:
- IIIT Delhi is the perfect destination for programming lovers
- The CSE curriculum of IIIT Delhi is way better than that of DTU and NSIT.
So, it precisely depends on the kind of branch you want to get if it’s all about programming go for IIIT Delhi, if it’s CSE, IT, or ECE go for NSIT but if it’s core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, or civil engineering DTU is the best option.
Why did you choose IIM Calcutta over IIM Ahmedabad ?
Students interested in Finance specialization choose IIM Calcutta over IIM Ahmedabad. IIMC is known as the finance campus of India. During IIM Calcutta placements 2021, around 17% of the placement offers were from the Finance domain. It offers more front-end core finance job profiles.

- The differential in tuition prices is the most compelling reason to pick IIIT Allahabad over IIIT Delhi.

For the time being, the positions are identical, although Delhi is considerably younger and already has similar placements. It also appears that the overall atmosphere in Delhi has improved.

IIIT Allahabad is better than IIIT Delhi. It offers great academics in IT and has an extremely competitive campus environment. Students of the institute dominate almost every major coding platform. Over the years IIIT Allahabad students made their presence felt in competitive coding events such as GSoC, ACM ICPC, and Google Code Jam.

Which is better between MBA from IGNOU or Symbiosis distance?
IGNOU is better for an MBA compared to Symbiosis distance. The course work is challenging. It’s not easy to clear papers unless you go through the study materials thoroughly. The curriculum is a bit old but it’s effective.
If you are hard-working and have relevant work experience, you can get recruitment opportunities after doing your MBA. IGNOU MBA is even valid for PhD/Govt. jobs too.
Which is better, NIT Calicut or NIT Rourkela?
NIT Calicut and NIT Rourkela both are reputed NITs. Over the years, both have improved a lot. However, according to NIRF ranking of 2021 for BTech NIT Rourkela stands at 20 while NIT Calicut ranks at 25. These rankings are based on multiple factors like academics, research, campus, placements, etc.
NIT Rourkela offers great placement opportunities along with foreign internship opportunities from countries like Canada, Germany, etc. In the 2021 placement drive, the average CTC offered was 9 LPA.
Which is better UIT RGPV or LNCT BHOPAL??
UIT RGPV Bhopal has a highly qualified faculty including 92 members most of them being Ph.D. holders from institutes like IITs and NITs. The institute is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidiyalaya (RGPV).
LNCT Bhopal is a technological institution. It is recognized by AICTE and NBA. It is ranked 251 for BTech by NIRF 2020. It is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. In 2019-2020 a total of 964 students were placed in top companies like Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Capgemini, and TCS.

- 65% of students received internships.
LNCT
- In 2020 from LNCT 964 students were placed in top companies.
- The top recruiting companies include TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, HCL, Microsoft, Oracle, Mu Sigma, Godrej, Reliance, IBM, L&T, Google, HP, Dell, Infotech, etc.
Facilities
UIT RGPV
- They have hostels, libraries, laboratories, auditoriums, and canteens.
- The other facilities include all-time internet connectivity, central computer centre, guest house, and transport.
LNCT
- With a campus area of 45 acres, the institute has separate hostels of boys and girls with all the basic necessities like canteen, public phone, cold drinking water, hot bathing water, etc.
- They also have a GMAT Test Centre and a Digital Library.
- They provide 85 buses for students for easy transportation.
LNCT definitely has a better placement record than UIT RGPV Bhopal. The companies participating in LNCT's placement program are offering better salary packages to the selected students than in UIT RGPV. But lastly, it depends on the student’s preference of location, affordability, environment, faculty, and the scope of the subject or course at that institution.
Which campus of CGC is better and why? Landran or Jhanjeri?
Both the campus has their own merits and demerits. Go through the following points to find out.
- Hostels: Jhanjheri campus has hostel rooms more spacious and has better bedding accessories than Landran. Overall Jhanjheri hostels have better bathrooms, gym, common room, food, mess facilities than Landran.
- Festivals: Festivals are better at Jhanjheri and many celebs come to the campus to perform.
- Faculty: As Jhanjheri is the new campus, most of the good faculties go to Jhanjheri.
- Placements: Placement companies come to Landran but that’s not an issue as it is a joint placement drive and Jhanjheri students participate in it as well.
- Transportation: Jhajhri campus is 7km away from Landran, and you won’t get a bus to Chandigarh or any nearby cities for the campus. You have to take an auto from Jhanjheri to Landran or Kharar.
- Small Campus: The Jhanjheri campus is smaller than Landran but it offers better facilities.
- Less Crowded: Jhanjheri campus is less crowded. It can be a good thing or a bad thing based on how you perceive it.
These are the basic difference between the two campuses. Now, it’s up to you to choose which is better for you.
