Which is better, ISB Hyderabad or IIM Ahmedabad for 1 year executive MBA??

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 15th, 2023

ISB Hyderabad is certainly a better choice than IIM Ahmedabad for a 1 year MBA executive. It has better faculty, an international student profile, an amazing campus, and more than 800 students in a single batch. The admission process is also simpler than IIM Ahmedabad. ISB Hyderabad has a much more diverse crowd than IIM Ahmedabad which usually comprises CS-related people.

PGP-X at IIMA is its flagship program whereas the one-year program in ISB is their main program so it carries more value and more focus is given to that program.

IIM Ahmedabad too has its own perks one of them being its rich legacy of 50+ years and an excellent alumni enterprise spread across the globe. Also, since the batch is smaller the competition is less so the placement opportunities are more. Recruiters coming to hire PGP students also roll out lateral offers for PGP-X students.

Ultimately, choose the one that aligns with your personal preferences and future goals.

Currently, is IIEST Shibpur, formerly BESU, better than Jadhavpur University?

SR
Sourav Roy Posted On : March 20th, 2021
Studied at Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur

IIEST Shibpur offers integrated MTech for engineering streams. So, first, be clear if you want to pursue MTech from an institute that does not have a record of producing post-grads like IITs or other universities abroad.

Comparison:

In academics, there is not much difference between JU CS and BESU CS.

In fact in the present scenario, JU CS has better placement statisticsas compared to BESU CS.For this reason, sometimes BESU CS/IT graduates join IITs after the completion of their course and often end up in the same firms their fellow JU mates are working in for 2 years.

BESU got updated to the status of IIEST quite recently. It will take some time for the institute to improve its infrastructure and academics. Being an institute of national importance, the institute is attracting good facilities and campus recruits.

The bottom line is if you are sure that you want to pursue integrated MTech, IIEST CS is not a bad option. Be it JU or BESU, the institute does not matter that much. If you are hard-working, you will excel.

What are the differences between IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore?

AS
Akanksha Sinha Posted On : May 18th, 2022
studied PGP at Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (2019)

Among IIM ABC, IIM Ahmedabad is most preferred by MBA aspirants. The long-standing legacy is the reason why most people view IIM A as a superior option. However, all three of these IIMs are almost on the same level in terms of academics and placements. IIM Ahmedabad is most preferred for Marketing. While IIM Bangalore is well-known for offering good Consulting job roles. For Finance specialization, IIM Calcutta is the first choice for students.

The faculties and infrastructure are great at all three of these institutes. People who have the choice between these three IIMs, usually choose based on the specialization they are interested in.

MBBS from AIIMS, Jodhpur (2020)

AIIMS Rishikesh is better than AIIMS Bhopal. The following points will brief you on the same:

  • It offers good academics. From the first year, you will be learning most of the clinical variations. Faculties of different departments are invited for integrated lectures.
  • AIIMS Rishikesh is great in terms of patient care. The hospital is fully functional. With 24*7 emergency, operation theaters, ICU, NICU, CCU, you will get a great deal of clinical exposure.
  • The institute is fully funded and equipped with all sorts of recent technology.
  • There are 32 AIIMS Rishikesh PG seats. AIIMS Bhopal has around 29 PG seats.

Is KGMU better or AIIMS Rishikesh?

SK
Sanjana Kapoor Posted On : September 30th, 2023
Lives in New Delhi

Being a central institute is not important, it's about the scope of learning offered at a medical school.

AIIMS Rishikesh is a central institute, so it has a better administration. However, KGMU offers much more practical knowledge to its students. MBBS is all about gaining practical knowledge. The number and types of patients received by KGMU is very high. As you enter your clinical years, you’ll realize the importance of these things.

AIIMS Faculties are better administered than state faculties. However, MBBS is about your own efforts and approach towards studies. Teachers can only guide you, the hard work is your job entirely. So faculties aren’t much of a concern. Moreover, KGMU also has highly qualified faculties.

I would say KGMU is better than all the other AIIMS, except AIIMS Delhi.

Are the new IITs better than NITs or other engineering colleges?

NC
Naman Cheda Posted On : August 2nd, 2023
Studying at IIT Gandhinagar

I am a B.Tech student at IIT Gandhinagar and I can assure you that you won’t regret your decision of joining a new IIT. By joining a new IIT, you will learn from some of the best professors in our country, study the best curriculum, get the best research opportunities, and live the best hostel life.

One of my friends joined the Civil Engineering branch at IIT Indore. The branch is quite new at this institution and its very first batch passed in 2020 with quite decent placements.

The campus life at IIT Gandhinagar is great. There are many students clubs over here and you can learn marketing, programming, and other skills. The exposure offered at new IITs is unmatched when compared to NITs or any other engineering college.

Thus, new IITs are a great choice and are much better than NITs or other engineering colleges in certain aspects.

Does anyone prefer BITS Goa over BITS Pilani? If yes, why?

AB
Aditi Banerjee Posted On : May 4th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

As an aspirant, choosing the right branch is crucial and cannot be stressed enough. Here are some factors to consider when making this decision:

  • If you score well but are unable to get a seat in CSE at BITS Pilani, you could consider Hyderabad. Alternatively, if you are offered EEE at Pilani, you might want to think about the potential "what ifs" such as missing out on your desired elective or the lucrative packages offered to CSE students.
  • If the branch is the same, you could choose Goa over Pilani for its culture and campus life. However, Pilani has a legacy factor that cannot be ignored.
  • Consider your personal circumstances and preferences when making your decision. For instance, if you're a dualite, you might want to choose a campus that offers the branch you want as well as the dual degree you desire. Goa campus might be a safer bet for circuit branches than Pilani, where the competition and cutoffs are higher.
  • Apart from these factors, here are some other reasons you might choose Goa campus over Pilani:
  • Weather: Goa has pleasant and beautiful weather throughout the year, although it can be humid at times due to excessive rain. This is better than Pilani's climate.
  • Extravagant life: While Goa offers access to booze and rave parties, not everyone is into it. You'll find people staying in Goa and enjoying its beauty without necessarily going to the beach all the time. It depends on the individual's preferences and priorities.
  • Fun and vacation: You can always spend your vacation time in Goa and have loads of fun, even more than most campus people themselves.

Which is better: IIM K or NITIE?

PD
Pavitra Das Posted On : August 20th, 2021
PGDIM Industrial Management, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (2018)

Both IIM K and NITIE are renowned institutes and offer the same placement opportunities.

  • If you take a look from an ROI point of view then NITIE has an upper hand. The fee structure at NITIE is 12.53 lakhs and is half or less than that from IIM K.
  • NITIE is known for its Operations branch. The majority of SCM Head, VP Operations, Head logistics in industries are a part of the alumni of NITIE.
  • If you are not interested in Operations then opt for IIM K. It has been ranked above NITIE and if the IIM tag is what that you desire the go for it.

Your decision may be influenced by the distance of these institutions from your hometown, financial background, preference for a particular specialization, and many such factors. Since it is an important decision do not hastily jump to conclusions. Make a wise choice that would benefit you in the future.
