Some of my friends work in both the departments and based on their experience, I can answer this.

If you look at the position of an IBPS SO, it's that of a specialist officer. You'd technically be a network administrator of all of the intra networks of the bank. You'd be a database administrator/database manager who would have the entire intra network of that particular bank under your supervision. 

Now if you look at the PSU job, you'd be someone who would be responsible for sustaining the technicalities concerning PSU.

Your enquiry on which one is better entirely is up to you and where your interest lies. While some might opt for GATE which concerns their core subjects entirely, others simply might find their area of interest in networking. So, decide for yourself and choose what suits you and not the rest.

KLE Technological University is a private and autonomous engineering college in Hubli ranked 151 among top engineering colleges in NIRF 2019 rankings.

The overall placement rate of the college is about 100%. In the academic year of 2019-2020, out of 120 students, 109 students were placed. The training and placement cell of the Institution organizes training and mock tests to help the students get ready.

Placement for ECE-

• The placements average in the ECE branch is about 80-90%.

In the year 2020, the ranking of IIST was #33 by NIRF for B.Tech courses. On the other hand, MNNIT Allahabad was ranked #48^th by NIRF for B.Tech courses. With excellent teaching staff, IIST is the 1^st space institute in Asia to offer programs in space science and technology.

Admission:

IIST:

• The candidate must have completed 10+2 with a minimum of 75% from a recognized boardin Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.
• A valid score in JEE Advanced is required.
• The fees for the 1st year inAerospace engineering course is Rs. 96,800.
• The total intake of the program is 60 seats.

MNNIT Allahabad:

• Candidate must have completed 10+2 in Science stream with a minimum 75% marks.
• Candidate must have passed the entrance exam, i.e., JEE Main.
• For ECE 1st year, the feeis Rs 84,666.
• The general cut off for home state students ranged from 3600 to 7128 and for other state students it is from 4615 to 6752.

  • The highest salary offered to the student of the institution was INR 10 LPA.
• In MNNIT Allahabad:

  • Some of the top recruitersof MNNIT Allahabad are the Indian Navy, Dell, Canon, BHEL, E-bay, Adobe, Bharat Institute of Technology, etc.
  • The highest salary offered to the students is INR 25.33 LPA and the average salary offered to the students is INR 10.95 LPA.

Choosing the subject depends on the individual itself. IISR will be really good if the candidate is very much interested in space and technology, as the institute primarily focuses only on space studies. Being a part of the 1^st institute in the world to offer complete range of programs in space and technology will be plus point. Late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam was the former Chancellor of the University. The city life of Kerala is much better than Allahabad. Now, based on all the data and their interest the candidate can choose the subject and institute accordingly.

The ECE Department of Asansol Engineering College organizes an Online Aptitude Competition and a Model Making Competition each week. According to its 2019 data, 83.3% placement took place with 100 students of the 120 total being placed with Open-Silicon, Virtusa and TCS among others. It is also one of the most sought after departments at AEC.

• Asansol Engineering College admissions require students to have a minimum of 45% marks in 12th with PCM.

The ECE department is preferable due to its rich infrastructural provisions with more than 10 labs; and a placement cell with ample internship and employment opportunities with core and IT companies.

SSN Chennai is a private university ranked 44th by NIRF(National Institute of Research and Framework) 2020. IIIT Dharwad was established recently but still gives head-on competition to all other institutes. The placement opportunities are exemplary for both the institutes. The admission process for the colleges remains different. Students should choose the college depending on their preferences.

Admission:

• For SSN Chennai students need to participate in the TNEA AND TANCET entrance examination. The application fee is INR 1250 for all programs.

• For IIIT Dharwad. Students need to secure a good rank in the JEE Mains. The application fee is INR 650 for male candidates and 325 for the reserved category.

The cutoff for ECE at these two institutes is as follows.

Course Fee:

• The BTech course fee at IIT Dharwad is INR 2.1 lakh per year and INR 50,000 at SSN Chennai.

• The fee structure is quite affordable at SSN Chennai and day boarders will have to pay less.

• SSN Chennai and IIIT Dharwad offer scholarships that include sports, rural students, merit-cum, and waiver of the tuition fees.

Facilities:

• IIT Dharwad has a rich collection of 4000 volumes of books, well-furnished hostels, 24*7 medical centers. Since the construction of the permanent campus is underway, many upcoming projects are signed.

• SSN Chennai has 1000 seater auditorium, cafeteria, free wi-fi, separate hostels for boys and girls.

Both colleges have experienced ECE faculty not only in terms of academics but also in terms of industry. Well developed laboratories help students to turn classroom lectures into hands-on practical learning.

Placement:

SSN Chennai:

• In the recent placement activity, SSN Chennai placed more than 95% of its students from various branches. The highest salary offered was INR 61 LPA.

• 26 dream offers were made that include Google, Microsoft, Adobe.

• The average package offered was INR 6 LPA.

IIT Dharwad:

• IIIT Dharwad saw its first batch with a placement record of placing more than 90% of its students.

• Some of the top recruiters include Adobe, Samsung, Microsoft, Intel, Infosys, TCS. The highest package offered was INR 11 LPA.

Both colleges have a good placement record in the ECE branch. IIIT Dharwad is recently established and not leaving any stone unturned to make it a world-class institute. Exposure is given to Research and Development. National rankings prove how these colleges outshine in every field.

According to the NIRF India Ranking 2020 for the B.Tech course, KLE Technological University ranks at 136 out of 300 colleges in India. It is also the 16th best university in the state of Karnataka. KLE Technological University offers a BE program for these specializations and the admission is through COMEDK-UGET or KET.

Electronics and Communication Engineering:

The course enlists practical training, site visits to NASA participation as an essential part of the curriculum. 53 faculty members are in the department.

Placement:

• In the year 2019, 210 students of the ECE department were placed in well-known companies.

• Mercedes Benz R&D, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, Tata Motors, Applied Materials, L&T, JSW (Jindal Steel), etc are some profound corporate companies hiring from the ECE department.

Mechanical Engineering:

Mechanical Engineering has a flexible curriculum course overlooking Design, Manufacturing, and Thermal streams pertaining to present-day Mechanical Engineers. There are 62 faculty members in the department.

Placement:

• Telcon, FleetGuard Filters, Toshiba, Accenture, TCS, TechMahindra, etc are some known recruiters of KLE, ME department.

• In the year 2019, 103 students of the ME department were placed in profound companies.

Automation & Robotics:

The program aims to provide students a platform for design, interface, installation, and troubleshooting of industrial automation systems.

• The department has good laboratories and has also signed an MOU with Bosch Rexroth India Ltd. and Beckhoff Automation India Pvt. Ltd.

• 12 faculty members are part of the department.

Placement:

• In the year 2019, 27 students of the Automation department were placed in profound companies.

Electronics and Communication Engineering has a wide scope in consumer electronics and IT industries. A Mechanical Engineering degree has prospects in manufacturing units, aircraft as well as other industrial machinery. Automation as an industry has good potential in nuclear science and the formulation of bio-medical equipment. It is recommended that a student should pursue the course of his/her choice.
