If someone is getting Maulana Azad Medical College and all AIIMS, other than AIIMS Delhi then what should that person choose?
This answer may vary from person to person but Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) is a well reputed and much older institution. Hence it has years of educational experience. On the other hand the AIIMS are relatively new and require a lot to learn and develop to be considered at par with MAMC.
MAMC:
- You can totally rely on the things taught here. As all the classes are taken by some of the experienced teachers.
- Their years of experience provide proper guidance on how to approach any situation.
- They have a gigantic campus, attached to notable hospitals like - Lok Nayak, GB Pant and Guru Nanak Eye Centre.
- There is a 50% DU quota for PG admissions.
- They have a batch size of 250 students, which at times could feel crowded.
- Being in Delhi, it has access to many good coaching institutes.
- Getting proper accommodation may take time.
Other AIIMS (except New Delhi):
- Campus is almost new and has well equipped labs and equipment.
- Almost everyone gets a hostel from day one and hostels are really in good condition.
- Batch size is small.
- Faculties are a mixture of new and experienced professors.
- AIIMS Patna does not offer any PG courses.
- Except AIIMS Bhubaneswar and Bhopal, other AIIMS do not offer PG degree in all courses.
- AIIMS Guntur and Nagpur function from their temporary campus.
- Many departments in other AIIMS are not fully functional.
- There is less accessibility to good coaching institutes for PG preparation.
- There is no 50% institutional quota.
Therefore, MAMC, overall, is much better and reliable as an institution. MAMC promises certainty. So it will be better if you go for MAMC. AIIMS Bhopal, Bhubaneswar , Jodhpur and Rishikesh are developing fast, but AIIMS Patna, Raipur, Nagpur and Guntur are still lagging behind.
What are the best things about VNIT Nagpur?
There are several good things about VNIT Nagpur, but the ones I find most attractive are-
- The main attraction for freshers is the Vintage Fighter Plane at the entrance of VNIT.
- Nagpur is accessible to the entire country because of its central location. Due to this reason, students from all over India come to VNIT Nagpur. Consequently, the hostel mess offers a variety of food items, ranging from Chole Bhature of the North to Idli Sambar of the South.
- The college campus is covered in greenery. There are plenty of trees in VNIT, and because of this, its campus remains comparatively cooler than the rest of Nagpur, during hot summers.

The university has not released any branch-wise placement statistics on its official website. However, as per the official UG placement data for the batch of 2023, 83% UG students were successfully placed from the campus. The highest CTC stood at Rs. 55.75 LPA, and the average CTC stood at Rs. 11.90 LPA.

IIEST Shibpur offers integrated MTech for engineering streams. So, first, be clear if you want to pursue MTech from an institute that does not have a record of producing post-grads like IITs or other universities abroad.
Comparison:
In academics, there is not much difference between JU CS and BESU CS.
In fact in the present scenario, JU CS has better placement statisticsas compared to BESU CS.For this reason, sometimes BESU CS/IT graduates join IITs after the completion of their course and often end up in the same firms their fellow JU mates are working in for 2 years.
BESU got updated to the status of IIEST quite recently. It will take some time for the institute to improve its infrastructure and academics. Being an institute of national importance, the institute is attracting good facilities and campus recruits.
The bottom line is if you are sure that you want to pursue integrated MTech, IIEST CS is not a bad option. Be it JU or BESU, the institute does not matter that much. If you are hard-working, you will excel.
Is it possible for an average student to crack the AIIMS in Delhi?
AIIMS Delhi is targeted by genius minds from the entire country. It’s their determination to get admission to AIIMS that drives them to ace the exam. So with the right level of dedication and commitment, even average students can crack AIIMS Delhi.
Such students need to work day and night with minimal distractions. A fixed timetable should be made and duly followed if you are adamant about AIIMS Delhi. On average, they need to do 6 to 8 hours of self-study in which they study Chemistry Physics, and Biology and also revise the previous chapters.
Additionally, students who consider themselves average should join online test series so that they can become familiar with online patterns and improve their writing speed as well.

IIT Roorkee offers the best hostel facilities to first-year students. Their hostels are bigger and better than the hostels of other students. The rooms are usually single or double sharing and are decked with basic amenities.
Most students prefer bringing baggage to hostels while some pack almost every possible thing. I wouldn’t suggest you pack a lot as literally everything you want is available very easily. So you will just be adding extra luggage that will become a nuisance for you.
