Why are people still not aware about institutes like IIIT Hyderabad and IIIT Allahabad?
We interact with more than 100 people daily so you cannot expect everyone to be aware of IIIT Hyderabad and IIIT Allahabad. Moreover, you should stop valuing people's opinions on these aspects of life. You alone are responsible for your life and career.
Everyone has their own opinions. In today's age of blind competition and instant gratification, people resort to such things as it gratifies them instantly.
So, it’s better to stay away from such discussions.
Is there any reservation at IIIT Allahabad??
Some of my close friends attend IIIT Allahabad and they were able to give information about reservations at the institute.
IIIT Allahabad is a Central Govt. MHRD affiliated college and follows all the reservation policies. As per the central government reservations rules for a reserved class, there are quotas reserved as below.

SC/ST students do not have to pay their tuition fee, they only pay admission, hostel, and mess fee.
There are other quotas for physically handicapped, Kashmiri Migrants, and Defence. IIIT Allahabad also has an all-India quota of 50-50 home state and other state quotas, respectively.
How is IIIT Allahabad for an M.Tech?
I did my M.Tech in Microelectronics from IIIT Allahabad. Our college has top infrastructure, hostels, internet facilities, fests, etc. But I would like to enlighten you about the lab facilities at IIITA.
IIITA has one of the best labs for fabrication. It is equipped with all the basic machines. The Phd. students and lab staff are very helpful, and will provide you all the necessary guidance. ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) is installed in the lab.
In IIITA, you’ll operate the lab machines by yourself. This includes washing used funnels, cleaning the oxidation chamber, and cleaning the sputtering machine after finishing your tasks. Mandatory lab timings are from 9am to 5 pm, but you can access the labs at any time.
The professor in charge of the fabrication lab, Dr. B.R. Singh has 40+ years of experience in fabrication. Other than fabrication, all the softwares for Analog and Digital Design are available. The same are headed over by different faculty members. The field of NanoElectronics is headed by Dr. Sitangshu Bhattacharya.
If you are interested in M.Tech Microelectronics, I can assure you that IIIT Allahabad is the right place for you.
In terms of placements, should I go for the IIIT in Allahabad or the VNIT for an MTech in CSE?

According to recent reports, IIIT Allahabad has an average placement package of around 15-16 LPA, with several top recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google visiting the campus. VNIT Nagpur, on the other hand, has an average package of around 7-8 LPA, with top recruiters like Amazon, Microsoft, and Goldman Sachs visiting the campus.
- Curriculum and Faculty: The curriculum and faculty at both institutions play a crucial role in shaping your knowledge and skills. IIIT Allahabad has a strong curriculum in computer science and engineering, with a focus on research and innovation. VNIT Nagpur also has a strong curriculum and experienced faculty members who are experts in their respective fields.

How do MNNIT Allahabad CSE and IIIT Allahabad IT compare on the basis of campus, faculty, placements, etc.?
IIIT Allahabad IT is better than MNNIT Allahabad CSE. It has a great coding culture. Students start competitive coding from the first year itself. IIIT Allahabad students dominate all major competitive coding forums.
It has a great course curriculum. IIIT Allahabad offers a great study environment with excellent infrastructure and facilities. The central library has a repository of more than 50000 books. The library also has an e-media section.
IIIT Allahabad placements are great. According to the 2021 highlights, the average and highest CTC offered is around INR 21.85 LPA and INR 61.65 LPA.
What are some of the pros and cons of the IIIT Delhi and the IIIT Allahabad? What should be taken if presented with a choice between the two?
One of my friends is a student of IIIT Delhi and he has visited IIIT Allahabad on a few occasions. Here is his insight about both the institute.
IIIT Allahabad:
IIIT Allahabad has witnessed a severe leadership change in the last few years. It had difficulties in retaining their faculties. A lot of students complaining about the previous Director, lack of faculty, hostels. The new Director is working to improve things, but it will require time.
There were a lot of negative stories about the place in the media in the past, but none of them seemed to have made an impact on admission. students recruitment. The institute has always attracted top JEE rankers.
IIIT Delhi:
On the other hand, IIIT Delhi has not only attracted top faculty but ensured their retention. The environment on campus is quite good. Both students and faculty seemed to be happier compared to IIIT Allahabad.

Overall, IIIT Delhi offers a much pleasant campus experience as compared to IIIT Allahabad. However, despite the negative publicity, IIIT Allahabad is quite reputed and attracts top JEE rankers, so, will have a great peer group. And if you genuinely want to learn, you can do that from IIIT Allahabad.
Do the IIIT Allahabad classrooms have AC?
Yes IIIT Allahabad has well-maintained air-conditioned classrooms with a comfortable ambiance. These classrooms are very cool in the hot and humid climate of Allahabad. These air-conditioned rooms are also the reason student are so keen to step out of their hostel rooms every day. IIIT Allahabad has air-conditioned labs too so the facilities are perfect for a peaceful learning experience. Here is a photo of a classroom as shared by a friend.

Who is the most famous/successful IIIT Allahabad alumni?
The most successful and snoring alumni of IIIT Allahabad has to be Harsha Suryanarayana also known as Humblefool. He has many achievements up his sleeve some of which have been mentioned below

Harsha is considered to be the god of the coding world. The world lost him in an accident but he is alive in the hearts of many. He has inspired many and will continue to do so.
Which one should I prefer: IIIT Allahabad dual, IIIT Amethi IT, SGSITS (Indore) ME, or MANIT Civil?
First of all, forget about SGSITS Indore as it stands nowhere in front of IIIT and MANIT. If you are looking for good placement and salary then forget MANIT Civil too. The only options you are now left with are - IIIT Allahabad dual and IIIT Amethi IT. Clearing things about IIIT Amethi, it has been closed and have been moved to IIIT Allahabad.

There is no point in spending extra two years pursuing M.Tech at IIIT Allahabad because if you are interested in a PG Degree then you can prepare for GATE during UG. Doing so will get you admission at any IITs which would be better for your career.
It is better to go for IIIT Allahabad and if you feel to go for PG then prepare, get a good score and go for IITs. Otherwise, you can always go for placements and will probably land up a very good job.
How do students enjoy in their free time at IIIT Allahabad?
My brother was a student at IIIT Allahabad so I have enough information on how the students spend their free time and their daily timetables. In IIIT Allahabad, classes are conducted form and the weekends are holidays. Most students spend their weekends playing badminton in the hostel, cricket, football, snooker, table tennis in SAC, or swimming. A few game lovers spend their time playing PUBG, mini militia, and counter-strike games in their rooms.
A few coding lovers spend their weekends doing coding. There is a free bus facility at 6 pm so some students go to the market to shop or hang out with their friends in restaurants. Some students play music and dance with friends in hostel rooms, while some watch movies. Many roam around the campus and enjoy the fresh air.
